My hygienist always takes her time and does a thorough job. Dr. Shortt has done extensive dental work for me. There are a lot of choices for dentistry, the professionalism and quality of work is top notch in my opinion.

In the past I've had some bad experiences in dental offices. My first appointment with Dr. Shortt was wonderful. She was kind and friendly, and helped me to understand where my problem areas on and to decide on a plan for getting my teeth taken care of for the future. The whole staff was a joy to work with so far.

I’m a relatively new patient. I had a guest from out of town who broke a molar, and has poor experiences in the past with dental visits (pain). Dr Bill Shortt not only saw her the very next day but applied a permanent crown with no discomfort! Thank you!!

Jan was very friendly and thorough. All of the staff did a wonderful job as usual. I always have the greatest confidence in everyone here and the quality of care that we receive. It is obvious that the staff really cares.
Today I also went in for some pressure pain and was able to see a doctor the same day. They took time to consider everything and let me know what I should do.

This practice is family owned but a husband and wife. They are both dentists and excellent at what they do. Its the most friendly place, with hygienists who are all wonderful. Their front desk staff is caring and accommodating with scheduling, billing etc. They send you text notifications for appointment reminders as well as emails - so its impossible to miss an appointment. The turnover is so low, everyone who works there is happy for a reason. I have lived in Royal Oak for 7 years and still drive to South Lyon to get my teeth cleaned because i dont want to find anyone else.

My first visit was great. My hygienist, Janet, was amazing, she was great on my teeth and very helpful in showing me my problem areas and how to take better care of them. Dr. Shortt was great as well. He was friendly and quickly came up with a good plan for my teeth. The office is very clean and modern. I highly recommend this place to anyone new to the area like me.

My entire family (several young kids included) are patients at this office. I have been very pleased with the care we receive, as well as the friendliness of the staff. They remember our names, as well as previously discussed topics. While I do not care for the procedures I have needed; root canals, fillings, and crowns (I guess that's what I get for going many, many years without visiting a dentist) I have confidence in both doctors, and their hygienists/assistants (Veronica is wonderful). Oh, let's not forget the office staff. Those ladies are incredibly sweet.

There are many dentists to go to out there. And that's ok if you want just ok. But I want the best. I may never own a big house, or a loaded cadillac or fancy vacations, but I will always have the best dentist ever! Thanks to everyone and as always job well done!!

We went in for a consultation regarding some extensive work my husband needed done. We came back with two different plans, both printed out and reviewed with us. Dr Bill and his staff reviewed x-rays, explained the procedures, and answered all of our many questions. We were extremely comfortable with their knowledge and professionalism, and we look forward to continuing our dental care at this office.

This dental office has the latest equipment, my wait time is very minimal in the office, staff is very friendly, hygienist is very thorough and Dr Shortt is honest with me about what procedures I really need now versus what can wait. They don’t try to oversell you. Highly recommend!

Dr. Shortt was caring and professional. He managed the pain effectively. His assistant (sorry I forgot her name already) was especially great and friendly and explained everything - and anticipated my needs. I was very surprised to get my crown all in one day! No goopy stuff to make an impression either - a 3-D impression of my teeth was done instead! They have state-of-the-art equipment. Very impressive. All in all - it was a Very Good experience for having to get something done that I was dreading. :)
