An iconic restaurant in the city's downtown area ! The historic ambiance of the Crystal is unbelievable! Must experience.
We were there on Black Friday, and they were very busy! It took a while to get our orders, however, just relax, order a Tom & Jerry! Take in the spectacular furnishings and enjoy.

I had breakfast with a couple friends here. The food and service are both exemplary! You have to try the home fries with gravy!!!!!

I can't praise this place enough. Their burgers are fantastic with high-quality beef and excellent onion rings. The Reuben is absolutely first rate. I've never eaten or drank anything here that I didn't enjoy. . .and I started coming here in 1978. This includes the world famous Tom & Jerry's served from the beautiful solid mahogany bar. Truly a New York State legend!

One of the oldest and longest running establishments in Watertown. It's a step back in time from the hand laid floor tiles to the wooden booths and so much more. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. During the holiday season they serve up their own original drink recipe for a "Tom & Jerry" plus some with a new twist. Slow down your day with a stop that takes you back to the good old days in Watertown, NY.

Diner type fare. Very antique type decor. Service was excellent! They have super homemade type rice pudding unfortunately they were out. Definitely worth a try.

A great place for an inexpensive quality meal. Look, if you are expecting an experience like Maxim's of Paris you will be disappointed. If you unclench you might find a solid menu without a single weak offering. Nothing mind blowing....no foie gras or whatever....but just try the Turkey dinner and tell me you didn't love it. Wait staff is always on top of it and are neither intrusive or lazy...they are just right.
The atmosphere is extremely cool...the hammered zinc ceiling and the privacy booths take you back to another era....of flappers and mobsters.....etc.
The only flaw? Bring climbing gear for the rappelling downstairs to the bathrooms. We are talking seriously steep. Do NOT send unaccompanied kids off to the toilets....unless a visit to the Watertown ER is on your bucket list.

Great restaurant. Service was fantastic! Food was superb. Has a genuine speak-easy feel about it. Our waiter was Conor, and he provided us with great service. Parking was easy in the lot behind the restaurant. This is a family owned gem. Also, it was snowing, as it always does in Watertown, but it made me feel like I was in Bedford Falls living a scene from "It's A Wonderful Life". I will return.

Good food, fast service, very authentic seating for the late 1800s. The booths are from 100+ years ago so they are wood(no pads), at a 90° angle, and small by modern standards. The bathrooms are through a tiny door downstairs in the basement and I just love it. Its great and cheap, go. Park in the back so you don't have to back out into the square.

I love the Crystal restaurant. The turkey dinner is my absolute favorite. I often order it to go but enjoy dining in as well. They also have really good burgers and breakfast. The prices are low compared to eating out at other restaurants. Walking in feels like stepping into a time capsule. The decor is another part of it's charm. I highly recommend it to anyone who want affordable, "Tastes like home cooked" meals.

Love the Crystal! We tried the brunch burger and lamb gyro, both yummy. Broccoli bites, OMG, cheesy goodness.

How do they turn a profit!? Roast leg of lamb, homemade mashed potatoes, homemade gravy and homemade pickled beets for $7.95. I was a cook for 18 years so I know the real deal when I taste it, and everything is from scratch. Well balanced mashed potatoes, pan dripping gravy, mint jelly.. the lamb was a tad bland but the mint jelly perked it right up. They must not have heat lamps, which is a blessing since many chains send out food with nuclear hot platters. The place is worn, but there's a rustic charm about the small booths and mirrored walls. Function over form is the name of the game here, something that's lost on modern conglomerates that dot the interstates nationwide. This is a hidden gem, a local secret right out in the open.

Annual trip for a Tom and and Jerry , staff is awesome, and the food is great also reasonably priced. Need to go more often

My wife and I love this place! Good food, service, and atmosphere. We stopped most recently at around 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was full - when it is busy at an off time like that you know people enjoy it. If you don't want to park in the street there are spots in the municipal lot behind the building.

Absolutely LOVE eating here!! The food taste great. Prepared the way you ordered. The staff us very friendly. The restaurant is very relaxing and retro. My opinion it's one of the best places to eat 2 👍 up!!

First time in this area and this food did not disappoint. Lovely spot with great service, great food and fantastic prices!

Love a good ancient diner. They were happy to let me kill a few hours waiting for a car service appointment. Bottomless coffee, great basic breakfast and tastey pie to cap it off.

If you only go to one restaurant during your stay at Watertown, go to the Crystal Restaurant. There's a reason why its been around since 1925. Great food, excellent service and a historic decor. Portions are just the right side and the food is very reasonably priced.
