Historic Thompson Park

Peaceful park with a informative monument about the wars and tribute to the mountain division, which is well designed with the monument designed like a mountain and each side tells a story, the bricks in the ground give Honor and memory to those from the wars, the location is at the highest point in the park, which offers a great view overseeing Watertown and the surrounding area. Friendly people in the park offered insights which was nice to experience as a visitor.

I went here to see the total solar eclipse, and it was amazing! I came early and walked around the park for a couple of hours. Great park, great people, great event! ✨

Thompson Park hosted an eclipse event, "Total Eclipse of the Park", that was an epic experience! This event made seeing the eclipse on a cloudy day something even more spectacular than just witnessing the eclipse! Thank you for turning this into a special day 💖

Great place to take my daughter to play. Playground, splash pad, and swimming pool are all great. The restrooms stink, but the ones at the pool are good. This is also a great place to bring a pet, but keep them on a leash please.

Beautiful park that overlooks Watertown. The held a Total Eclipse event here, and the town did a great job.

Thompson Park is where I spent almost every night as a teenager and young adult. What a great place. You can see for miles and the view is fantastic. And a great place to fly your kites.

I went to the zoo and playground with my 2 and a half year old neice. We had a great time. We saw a variety of animals- her favorite was the snowy owl. Then we went over to the playground. She had a good time playing on the different equipment.

Love taking my kids here to play. The view is great also during the fall.

Love this area, great playground, walking paths, pool, splash pad, just a great place to get out and enjoy the day rain or shin, with a covered area for picnics

Love the monument and the vibe that the park provides it's truly a testament to the interaction between a military base and a community coming together for each other. The views of Watertown are spectacular.

Lovely park to view the eclipse.

This park offers great running trails, picnic areas, and lots of other amenities. Thompson Park is a really great place to get some fresh air and one of the nicest spots in Watertown.

Love to go to the overlook and chill maybe a little 420. Nice place to clear your mind plus the zoo the old pavilion. Great

We love Thompson Park! Its beautiful and clean. It has a fun splash pad and a new gorgeous pool... and let's not forget the zoo.. my family loves this Park.

Great place to watch fireworks! (That’s the only reason I’ve been here...this year and last year, too!). They treated for mosquitoes/bugs so that was welcome. Good planning for parking and had plenty of porta-potties for the crowd. Great music (bring earplugs if you are near a speaker!) Good times with the family here. Enter from Gotham street for best parking, and get there by 6pm.

I was here for the 4th of July concert and fireworks with family. The experience was excellent. We had perfect weather, the orchestra was very good, and the fireworks show was much better than expected.

I've also been to other parts of the park on other occasions, for walks, hikes, and play time with my nieces and nephews. It's absolutely beautiful and kept up really well. One of the best parks I've visited!

Great park! Nice little zoo, playground, lots of walking paths, tennis courts with pickle ball lines.

Loved the playground, the splash pad was a great way to cool down and the pool was finally open! The city has built it, it is up to US, the public to take care of it! Keep it clean people and show pride in our beautiful park and it's amenities!!
