Max's of Burlingame

Whenever we’re in the area with a big group this is a reliable and perfect spot to meet. Appreciate manager Fernando taking care of our group after some issues came up. Matzo Ball soup is always good! Server was personable but not attentive never got water and food was not served hot. Save room for dessert.

The food and atmosphere were way beyond what we were expecting! I had a glass of red wine and their cheese burger with fries! So delicious, they had live music and full bar! Will definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful experience!🥰

Guy the best place to stop and get your happy hour on. Look at this, I know it's not your bumping place your us to. Give it the old school try. Good place for the money. Where can you get food and drinks for under $35.00 in the Bay Area.

Have dinner which next to the hotel we are staying. I was curious with the many reviews. Ordered the calamari and it did not disappoint me serving was big compared to most restaurants in east coast. Food was all good and staff are nice. I highly recommend to give it a try.

Great atmosphere, service and drinks. Went their with a couple friends. The bartender Shaun was great and made great recommendations on food and drinks. Highly recommend the calamari, mini rueben with pastrami and the jambalaya fettuccine. Mai Tai and Blueberry old fashion are bomb!

Cold rainy day in Burlingame, so went to a local spot close to the hotel. What a great place! Server Freddie was awesome, great sense of humor and spunk. Food was terrific, we just had Happy Hour specials but DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the calamari and fish tacos! Next time we are in town, Max's is a must! Thank you!

Celebrating a dear friend's birthday and we were all delighted! The chicken pot pie was huge and so good! We shared the chocolate cake with buttercream layers...amazing!

Max's has delicious food and quick service. I went here two days in a row while I was visiting the city. It was that good! The menu has a lot of variety, but everything tastes freshly made. I tried the nachos (fun to share!), the macaroni and cheese, a Caesar salad, and a grilled cheese sandwich. They also have great drinks! It can get a little noisy when it's busy, but the service doesn't seem to slow down.

Very old school restaurant vibe with a lot great food and service. Just went for the appetizers for lunch and found out it was enough food to satisfy a whole meal . Have to cone back to try they're dinner menu. They also offer bar service and live jazz music at night. A really nice place to visit when your in burlingame .

Menu's says it's food you want to eat and they are absolutely telling the truth. I was in town for 4 days for work and ended up eating here each night. Was hard to decide what to eat each night but I was very happy with everything that came out. The live music was a nice touch and not to loud or over powering and the Bartender James was outstanding and was more than happy to help me decide what to eat. The only let down was that I left on Thursday which is their prime rib night. So if you're in the area you should definitely give this place a visit.

Absolutely loved it! The staff particularly the host had such a kind smile and was quick to help us with anything we needed. The customers were also really friendly and chatty, because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s in a hard-to-access location and most young people don’t seem to know about it, but everything we ordered was delicious and I definitely want to come back to try their famous Reuben and desserts! Also due to covid, they have a really large front patio and a small back patio with heating.

This place is amazing. Great food and ambiance and our waitress, Nicole was the best. This place has history as it has been operating since 1978. Very convenient location as it was just steps away from our hotel, Holiday Inn Express. I absolutely recommend this place to dine in,dine out, or just have a drink and a friendly smile

Very good food. Especially liked the crab cakes with the chipotle aioli. Do not know the name of the combo playing tonight but they were very good and a real delight to have the live music!

We had dinner here and breakfast the next day. The chicken pot pie was Huge and very good. The salmon was also good.

My wife and I shared a breakfast burrito and a half order of French toast for breakfast. Excellent and very big burrito.

Ok, here's the deal, my wife and I thought this was the Filipino "Max's" restaurant. We went inside and realized it was not the Filipino Max's. The sign is almost identical. LOL.

We wanted to support the business, so we figured we would try the Danish Bakery. OMG, it was excellent. We tried the walnut Rugelach and the Fudge Brownie.

We will definitely make a trip back for their Bakery and try their Dinner Menu.

It was so nice having happy hour meals and beer. Food quality was great and there was Jazz live music on Monday. Amazing!!
We had great time there. Recommend for people who stay at the hotel near Sanfransisco Airport.

I love this place! We had a group reservation for 10 and Freddie was an amazing host! The. Appetizers were delicious and the mud pie was our favorite dessert! We’ll be back!
