Socorro Historic Plaza

Every old-school town has a park and some are as loved and cared for as this one. The ancient trees, and I mean awesome old trees, give voice to the fact that the town's people have dedicated their love and care for a century in order to preserve this plaza's park with such a grand shade place and peaceful lawn. The rotunda is pretty darn large and special.

A good place to park your folding chair and space out, thinking about the folks that did exactly that and pondered WW1 instead of a Pandemic.....

Fresh local produce, live music, fun for the kids. All in the center of Socorro. A weekly must visit to see what's new!!

Very pretty plaza,. Quite place to take a break.

A beautiful piece of Socorro history! Our town center with plenty of seating around the park. On Saturdays it usually hits or local farmers market. The gazebo is picture perfect and capable for hosting bands, etc. Lots of great events from music festivals, marches & weddings have been held there.

Had a wonderful time at Socorro Farmers market at the plaza! The vendors are very friendly and have so much talent! And the food... Amazing!

Great place to stop if you are on a road trip and pass through Socorro. There is a Gazebo and surrounding park that are nicely maintained, a small outdoor war memorial, and a sizable playground for the kids.

Such a peaceful little park that is so educational. Lots of tread and places to sit. A nice little play ground and great art from kids in the community. Is was to see one of the tile art walls vandelized.

A nice place to walk for a visit with friends or have lunch in the park. Small memorials, a cute downtown area, and plenty of parking. It seems like they host local events at the pavilion, and there are old buildings and small businesses around to explore. A good meetup spot for people splitting the distance between Santa Fe and Las Cruces.

Always well cleaned. Not too many people, but that's my preference. Lights are pretty at night, and even more fantastic at Christmas. Love walking here.

Great food and service, always. Coconut cream pie, the best. There is a piece of pecan pie there with my name on it.

It was super windy so we didn't do as much as we'd like. There're things to check out on our list!

It is so quaint and peaceful. I love walking my dog Sasha here every morning.
