Customer service and the cashier were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and nice. Check outs were both fast and easy. I recommend John Brooks over Walmart ANY DAY!!!

Pretty groovy local market if you don't care to associate with the fine upscale clientele of Walmart. Great selection of groceries.

John Brooks is the definitive local market. The only place in Socorro where you can find quality and homemade donuts, freshly baked pizza and all the clerks know your name AND are eager to help.

Some things cheaper at Walmart, some things cheaper here, booze is easier to buy here. Techie discount is like 10 or 15% for everything but booze

Much better than Walmart. They also offer student discounts, and have 'manager specials' that is suuuuuper cheap for stuff that is reaching the sell by date.

Go in and got out! Got what we needed and went hunting in the Gilas. All the staff were happy that always makes a difference. ✌💚

It's amazing how well stocked this store is. I'm able to get almost everything I used to buy when I lived in Albuquerque, often at a better price. The vegetable section gets a little tired every now and then, but, overall, John Brooks is a valuable resource for locals, and the employees are awesome!

John Brooks has real butchers; men in butchers jackets who operate saws and knives, cutting meat. You can get a specific cut and thickness of steak, bone, or organ. There's no competition here for that.

VERY impressed with this grocery store! Extremely well organized, neat and very clean. It's obvious that employees work hard. Good variety of items, prices reasonable. Employees welcoming and friendly. Easy in and out parking. On a side note(not a criticism), store is carpeted! And it's very clean. Looks great.

Best liquor selection in town on a Sunday morning. Prices were not too bad either. Clean store, fast check out. I will visit again when I'm in town.

Impressed with this grocery store. You can tell they try to make it an upscale experience. Mostly focus on southwest based foods but that makes sense in Socorro.
Last weekend I went to Walmart, but frankly like this experience better. Just wish it was larger to allow more choices.

Really good little store for such a small town. Good variety and exceptional service. They even offer organic options and a nice selection of produce. Glad we found them during our stay as not many of the restaurants in town were particularly vegetarian/vegan friendly.

I find it easy to find most products and those that I can't find the employees always help with a smile in their face way better shopping experience than at Walmart
