Bodega Burger Co. & Lounge

My dining companions enjoyed the vegan portabella burger on ciabatta with the zucchini fries. Their chips and salsa are great and it was a treat to have shoestring fries.
The bartender in the lounge was very accommodating to our vegan party of four and helped us find vegan options on the menu.

We visited Bodega Burger Co. & Lounge to see what it was like. Being from out of town, I can honestly say that the next time we're in Socorro, we WILL DEFINITELY visit Bodega Burger Co. & Lounge again! We walked in with no reservation and we were immediately seated on a busy Friday night. There was a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there, but we did not see anyone having to wait long to be seated. Our server was amazing!!! She was very attentive while never hovering at our table. We spoke with manager "Joel" while there to express how excellent our service was along with how great the food tasted! We asked for a little change to the standard menu items and our server never missed a beat! Our order came out perfect and the taste was awesome! The local green chilis had an excellent flavor on their burger and just really made the taste that much better. Our server provided the list of draft craft beers (yep really!). I selected the La Cumbre Malpais Stout beer, which had excellent flavor. We decided to stop in the bar after dinner for one more drink as well. Service in the dining room as well as the bar were excellent! The bar was definitely busy, but the bartender was attentive and we did not have to wait long for our after dinner drinks.

Huge Shout Out to the entire crew at Bodega Burger Co. & Lounge! Well worth your time to visit when you visit Socorro New Mexico and Highly Recommended!!!

Wow! For such a small town, and limited places to eat that are only open 4-8pm…this is the best spot in town! Rib eye…mouth watering and delicious!
Atmosphere staff and location are tipy top! Can’t miss it! Love this place!

Been all over the world and this tiny steak house cannot be missed

We have been to this place a few times and are finally getting around to writing our review. They call themselves an "Upscale Burger Joint". They are that and much more. The burgers are definitely excellent. We are from NM so we had to have the Bodega burger since it has local green Chile and it did not disappoint. We also had the low carb burger and we enjoyed that as well. We have also sampled their steaks and a couple of other burgers that were all very good, but the above are our go-to. They have a great selection of local brews that they serve ice cold. I also need to mention that we have sampled their extensive selection of red wines and have always been pleased. Service is always excellent and management is present to ensure everyone is getting what they want. We really like what Joel and Deborah have done with the place and look forward to returning next time we are in town.

I was attending a training program in town and some of my classmates decided to come here for dinner our last night. It appears to be a formal restaurant at first, but it has a very laid back atmosphere. It is attached to a bar as well. I ordered the patty melt with fries. It is one of the best patty melts I’ve ever had. Some of my classmates got steak, and others had sandwiches. Everyone agreed the food was really good. We also ordered desert. The cheesecake was huge and very delicious! After we finished dinner, we walked to the bar. They had a decent selection of drinks including beer. They also have pool tables, shuffle board, darts, corn hole. There’s TVs which play the games going on that night. There’s also an outdoor patio, but I didn’t go out to see it. I would recommend stopping in for some food if you’re in town. Or a drink. I would come here again!

Few small towns anywhere in the USA can boast such a quality and gourmet experience as Socorro. Bodega can stand its own against Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.....or any big city for that matter.

I had a 5-Star meal 3 weeks ago and want to report my experience. The staff was excellent, very friendly and willing to accommodate, and the venue itself was just so interesting and well-designed.

I travel through Socorro every few weeks and stay the night because it is approximately half-way on my journey. I have eaten at three other restaurants in town and have only found them average in most respects. Solid food, however nothing on par with Bodega.

I had the filet dinner and was very happy that it exceeded my expectations.The steak that was perfectly done! How often can you say that?

Next month I'll be back and will order the same meal with all the identical parameters. Check back and I'll let you know.........

EDIT: Still outstanding, Bodega has fully recovered from the Covid Age and has improved on every level. How, you ask? The owner and staff have made it happen. Clear and simple.
Bodega is only open from 4pm to 8pm because they discovered that that was their "sweet spot" and it has worked admirably. Again, I couldn't resist and had a Boneless Rib Eye that was pure bliss.

Bodega has substantial vegetarian offerings including non-meat burgers so you might still have a tasty meal and glass of wine in Socorro. The wine shop has expanded, too, assisting you with after dinner pleasures back at the ranch.

And WOW, I had not gone into the bar on my previous visit and this time I did which allowed me to see the amazing pool table room and extra seating areas where you can still eat dinner. It was actually quieter in the bar area than the main dining room, too, so I opted to eat at the "Penny Bar" which has 1,000's of US pennies embedded under the clear surface.

My review of the Bodega burger company is one that is probably 2 years over due. I have traveled and lived in many places, eaten and dined at fine restaurants in Los Angeles, Santa Fe and elsewhere. However, the Bodega burger company, located in Socorro New Mexico, manages to not only hold its own but at times even exceed both the service and food of better known, and much more expensive restaurants. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had, time and time again. It does not fail to disappoint, and it is one restaurant that’s truly worth going out of your way for.

P.S. The filet is by far one of the best filets I’ve ever had and is well worth the price.

I had a phenomenal experience eating here for the first time.

My server, Chris, was without a doubt the best server I've had at any restaurant in years.

I had a "Mountain Man" burger with green chile, and the thin fries. The burger was great. The fries were very good, but I think they could be better with a bit of a garlic aioli.

All in all, 6/5 stars, I'll definitely be coming back and recommending the restaurant to lots of people.

What a fantastic find. Driving through Soccoro, NM. We had steak salad. Awesome. With Balsamic dressing on the side. Just the best I've ever had. Steak was tender and tasty. Don't miss the Bodega when you're driving through.

Great food, good service, I really recommend this place! The burgers are so good, and the tuna tacos were a nice surprise. Overall, if you want to go to a nice place in Socorro for dinner, I’d give this place a try.

I had the chile relano burger, and it was delicious. The service was attentive and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, they have a lot of historic pictures of Socorro on the dining room walls. I'd definitely go back!

I got the steak and enchilada entree since I wasn't too hungry. Ended up being more food than I expected, but I easily ate it all since it was super tasty. I'll be back next time I'm in town to try the famous stuffed porkchop.

Loved this restaurant. Food was exceptional, and so was the service.

I ordered the Cobb Salad but subbed the chicken for the steak. Delicious! Steak was cooked perfect and salad was all fresh.

Surprising find in a small town. The bruschetta scallops on a bed of wild rice with sauteed vegetables was excellent. On par with some of the better big city restaurants. Service was top notch. We'll be back.

It is with great disappointment I have to report that Bodega is closing this Friday 2/9/2024. I have been coming to Bodega for the last year for their ribeye steak and old fashions. I truly enjoyed eating here. It is a shame they're closing.

The food was so awesome! It is worth the stop if you’re driving on I 25 or heading west on 60. I had the green chili cheeseburger and fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium and got it. Their fries were such a surprise; 3 kinds of them, stick, sweet potato and waffle cut. They also had NA beer. There usually isn’t any at restaurants. They had BrewDog Elvis AF NA beer. So good! I definitely will go again.

Probably the most intimate restaurant in Socorro. Decent variety, a little pricey, but every menu item I've tried has been great.

Stopped at this restaurant b/c it was close to our hotel. Pleasantly surprised to find they had a lot more than burgers. Service was great & so was the food. I had prime rib which was fantastic with green chili mashed potatoes.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Bodega Burger company and lounge. We stopped because of their full parking lot. Inside was comfortable and full of people. Joel greeted us and we were seated immediately. The staff was efficient and the food was delicious. We had swiss mushroom burger and steak enchilada. We will definitely be back!
