First time eating here at Sophia's. Today, I ate the menu menudo. The tripe was tender and delicious 😋 my father inlaw highly recommended that I have tried it. He ate the chicharon plate. The kiddos had tenders & a cheeseburger 🍔

Table service old school diner style Mexican restaurant with ample parking. Restaurant and restrooms were fairly clean, they could use a little attention but this was after the breakfast rush so it might not be typical. Service was very pleasant and helpful but a little slow. Food was very good. Portions are huge, two breakfast burritos are almost impossible to finish even though they were excellent. Recommend for a no frills great meal.

What an amazing spot! One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. I got the New Mexico omelette with green chilis and tortillas, with a beef taco on the side. Absolutely delicious, the chilis were perfect. Staff was super friendly & the coffee endless! Will be coming back often now that I’ve moved to the area!

Excellent food, fast service, and friendly and helpful staff. Location was busy but there was no wait. Staff is following all covid protocols. There was a small stage, although there was no live music when we were there. Amazing murals on the walls. Price was $$ very reasonable. Highly highly recommend.

We ordered 2 flat chicken enchiladas. We got no chicken. One with extra beans no rice. We got extra rice on beans. The eggs were raw we ordered medium. It was a to go order. We called them and the said to bring them back. We live out of town. So we didn’t want to take the meals back. She said sorry. No confiscation at anything. We ordered from here quite often. No more they lost good customers. No more.

The food was great, and the portion sizes were large. Great value for the money. Will eat there again when we pass through. I had the smothered breakfast burrito with bacon.

We done here whenever we're in Socorro. Sofia's is two businesses in one spot. Sofia's is dine-in with table service. Burrito Time is the drive-through on the side of the building. Both serve delicious food. Service is consistently friendly and quick.

Indoor seating was closed when we arrived late afternoon. But there is a patio where you can eat. The price is affordable but the food was superb! I highly recommend the posole and chicharonne plate (shown in the photos).

Amazing flavor, huge portions, fair price. $40 for all three plates including 2 coffees and 1 orange juice (they charge extra for sausage for the pancakes and toast for the omelette, but is worth it). Very good and quick service. Only 2 miles out of the main road (I-25)

We stopped for lunch on a Sunday. It was busy, but still plenty of seats. I had the green chile chicken casserole plate. It was delicious.

Delicious! This place is a small town restaurant and makes you feel like family. The service is good and the prices are reasonable. As soon as we sat down they brought us some sopapillas, which were amazing! I could have eaten like 10 of them. I ordered the Carne adovada, which was Delicious! Didn't even get a photo, demolished it! They brought out a huge flour tortilla to eat your food with, which was also homemade and amazing. They do stop doing dine in at 2 pm, but do to go until later in the day.

Food is great. I literally love everything I’ve ever ordered on the menu. The chile is perfect spice and tastey. I love how they have a drive thru when I’m in a rush. The staff that do show up bust their butts and care about their customers! Can never go wrong eating here.

Went twice for breakfast while camping and birding at Bosque del Apache. Great breakfast burritos -- they are large, I didn't finish my 2-burrito plate. Get them smothered, both the red and the green chile are hot and delicious.

The only remedy for a hangover is time, water, and food. I guess more alcohol can be the cure too, but eventually that medicine wears off and you're back to ground zero. So I decided to pursue the first option and started chugging water as soon as I got up. Then my cousin was nice enough to pick me up a breakfast burrito from Burrito Thyme. That morning he was in the same hangover boat as me and spoke highly of the healing powers of these breakfast burritos. After eating the burrito and chugging water, I had done everything except make time pass more quickly. I was still on the clock and probably had a few more hours until I could go back to feeling normal again. To try and expedite the hangover process I decided to go on a run to sweat all the toxins out. When I got back I was feeling a little better, but was exhausted. So I took a nap and when I woke I was feeling like my normal self again! The only problem with my normal self is that he likes to drink and has a short memory. I ended up making myself a vodka soda later that day and started the whole process again. At least I know that breakfast burritos from Burrito Thyme will help me for my next hangover.

We're on a 3700 mile trek and Sofia's has been the best food on our journey. We did breakfast about 9:30am. I had eggs w/ chorizo, hash browns, and beans, w/ corn tortillas. These were the best tortillas ever (and I live in Mission TX, so I see good Mex food all the time). My wife had 2 eggs, hash browns and bacon w/ toast. EVERYTHING was delicious. Nothing fancy, just well prepared and served by a great staff. GO here and enjoy!!!
