We booked this condo last minute mid-week in Cannon Beach and we had an amazing time. It is extremely spacious, great layout of the home, and well stocked kitchen tools (no ingredients though). And best of all, it was a one block walk to the beach!! It worked great for 2 girls on a trip with one dog.

This was my first time staying in Cannon Beach, and the Beaches Inn is conveniently located right on Roanoke and one block from the beach. This is a three unit town house, which includes a master bedroom, complete with queen bed and a second bedroom with queen bed. There is also a sleeper futon downstairs. The Beaches Inn is also pet friendly, requiring only a $50 pet deposit. It also has a kitchenette with microwave, stove, oven refrigerator and dishwasher. It also has plates, glasses, utensils, etc. However, there were some drawbacks to staying here, some of which glaring considering the $300/night price. This place gets hot and stuffy, there is a patio but no way to open the windows on the main floor. There is a door, but no screen, so you choose between fresh air and bugs/flies/etc having free entry. Both bedrooms are up a double long flight of stairs, which for some could be a problem. My 70 year old father with bad knees had issues with getting up and down the stairs. The shades in the master bedroom let the light in, and we had to go buy some thumbtacks from the hardware store to tack up one of our beach towels. Also, the second bedroom has a *very low hanging ceiling*. This would be okay for kids, but I hit my head several times trying to navigate the bedroom. Also, the window in the bedroom doesn't open. I wound up sleeping downstairs on the futon couch instead, and the second queen bed remained vacant due to the heat and to avoid hitting my head. This is a nice place to stay but it's definitely not perfect. As my dad said, "I've stayed in worse" when asked how he liked the unit. There are also on-site laundry facilities, a dog poop station with free bags, and two washing stations, although the water at the hoses was ice cold.

Cute little cabin. We stayed in unit 4. It seemed to be updated and clean enough. Very short walk (across the street) to the waterfront. Extremely dog friendly. There is no dishwasher and the heating unit is burning hot and if you turn the fans off, it gets extremely cold. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Only good things was that it was dog friendly and and close to everything. Unit was very small and needs some attention. Bed was not very good and we both had some back issues after 3 nights.

My husband and I just stayed 3 nights in the Herons Nest and our biggest complaint is the bed. It is horrible! We woke up sore every morning. I was awake almost all night every night feeling like I was sleeping on boards. It was so incredibly hard and miserable which didn't make our stay all that enjoyable when all we really needed it for was showering and sleeping. Not only was the bed awful, but the couch wasn't even that comfortable to relax on. I found a large wad of hair in the shower when we were first checking over everything at check in.... gross!! When we pay this much money to stay somewhere, we really expected more comfort and cleanliness. The location was definitely handy and we appreciated having some kitchenware to utilize, although the huge serving spoons made it very difficult to eat a bowl of cereal. I honestly don't think we would stay there again. I can't wait to be back in my own bed!

Overall, the absolutely horrible sunken in and rock hard bed ruined my stay at 387 Hemlock, townhome 2. I won't return.

They won't provide linens for the 2nd bed unless you ask? Only one room key. There's no laundry and no towel service. Definitely not a destination you want to stay at for a lengthy period.

Pros: A few blocks from town and the beach. Cons: Blinds don't work, TV table is not hooked up, lamps not plugged into the wall, sink was clogged when we showed up, and garbage disposal does not work. Will not be back.

Went on August 25 for one night at a 96 temperature, enter the townhouse and NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!! Paid almost $440 a night, including two dogs and left to go home in an hour!!!!! The townhouse was very HOT and MUGGY!!! STAY AWAY from this place in the summer!!!!!! I called the office and they apologized and did nothing to fix my stay. Extremely disappointing.......

I always like to try a place before deciding to bring my dogs. We will not be back. Dog hair of all kinds in the bed (like in the sheets) I don't even want to know what was on the other bed. Something dry and crusty. Didn't take a picture. Don't think the windows had been cleaned in a year, smudges on window from dogs that have stayed in the past and foggy. Five feet from window is main road through town so everyone walking by looks in. No coffee, but they never cleaned the old coffee that someone else had made out of the pot. None of the clocks work. Oh and the shower drips constantly. No a/c so cabin 4 was very muggy. We brought our own fan knowing that most places at the beach do not have a/c. Windows opened which helped, they were old and need to be replaced. They don't seem to care about maintenance. Dust bunnies in the corners and behind things. Ridiculous price per night for that rental. We left after 2 hours.
