Wanda's Cafe + Bakery

Wanda's is that rare find on the Oregon coast where an unremarkable menu is elevated to near-perfection by flawless execution. Prices are pretty standard, service is caring, the dining room and music selection are comforting, portions are generous enough for sharing, and the food tastes great. You might wish for a more ambitious menu, but you simply won't go wrong choosing this cafe that does what they do so well. I'll readily recommend the meatloaf sandwich, the spinach salad, and can assure you the polenta toast is far better than you expect. And yes, everything coffee is done well here too.

We loved this restaurant! The decorations are pieces of art arranged so artistically to stir conversation and detailed observation. The servers were attentive and helpful. The food was delicious! Try going on the weekend when fresh-baked cinnamon rolls and bread are available. So good....😋

This place is so cute outside and inside. There's even an enclosed back patio. At first we came here just for the baked goods and coffee but there's a whole breakfast and lunch menu. There's a cute gift section in front, too, where you can even buy a sourdough starter. I would come here again. The service was excellent and the breakfast was delicious.

Had a great brunch here, club sandwich, 2x2x2 and the potatoes with country gravy. The atmosphere was great as well lots of plants and curiosities to look at. The service was fantastic quick and kind. I would highly recommend Wanda's to anyone. We even took a cinnamon roll and hazelnut berry bar for the rise home.

Stopped by today and this was one of the best breakfast experiences we've had in a long time. The food was great and might be the best cinnamon rolls in a long time. The service was also well above average. I feel like it's hard to get great service outside of a really expensive restaurant, you can find good but it's hard to find service that stands out. It's easy to see why Wanda's is so highly rated.

Every time we travel to the Oregon coast, we eat here! The vibes are top notch, the staff is so friendly and helpful! There is sometimes a wait time, we waited almost an hour to be sat on a sat morning and it was so worth it! You can wait outside where there are heaters, or wander inside to grab a coffee and sweet treat to keep you satisfied until you’re sat! (I had a GF lemon bar and brownie paired with a white mocha and I was so happy! I mean they were better than any NON-GF treat I’d had!)

While you wait for your coffee to be hand made, you can wander around the small store corner they have set up. Lots of local handmade goods (I wanted a candle called “Wanda’s” so bad!) or some more commercial stuff. I ended up with a gorgeous pack of playing cards, and an awesome mug.

Once you’re sat, you have a great selection of food to choose from. They serve breakfast and lunch. I ordered the Greek omelette, and it was divine! My husband got the huevos rancheros, which is he really liked! 10/10 love this place. While we sat and ate, we talked and enjoyed the music they played. (This time of year it was jazzy Christmas at a respectable volume).

And a huge bonus, the bathroom was adorable and super clean!

A wonderful, warm, cozy experience. My party of 5 was seated quickly. All of the staff were pleasant, ensuring we were well taken care of. The food was AMAZING and priced reasonably! The biscuits and gravy here are delicious. Fun gift shop with lots of neat stuff.

Nice waiting area. High end brunch place. Great aesthetic and music. Grab a pastry/drink and relax while you wait for a table. I love the seating area in the back.

Biscuits & gravy, huevos rancheros, eggs benedict and brunch potatoes are all great.

Also chocolate peanut butter pie and oatmeal raisin cookie are great. (Ask to warm up the cookie)

We have breakfast regularly at Wanda's and always look forward to going. The food is delicious and there are lots of great options. The staff are uniformly efficient, kind and just so pleasant. I assume that is attributable to the owners who must make it a nice place to work. They also have lots of take away items like scones, cookies and bread which are also very tasty and worth a trip in just on their own.

The atmosphere was great and the food/drinks were very tasty. The staff there were friendly and service was fast. Will definitely be going back. Highly reccomend this place😊

We took a short trip the coast and found this place for breakfast, the food was absolutely delicious! Their back patio was super cool to sit out on while it rained and the artistic decorations was cool to look at. The Staff was on top of stuff and the foood came out amazing and fast! Making this a staple when ever we are in the area! Thank you!

Lovely, quaint, cozy, and delicious 😋🤤. Drove from Seaside to here just to have breakfast. We split the Florentine Benedict and the eggs were perfect! Seasoned potatoes were crispy goodness. Small shop up front has cool stuff for sale. Bathroom is very clean and nice!

Wanda's is a must stop any time you are in the area. We often make the drive down from Cannon Beach then return going back up 53 (super beautiful drive). The coffee is delicious and the selection of grab and go baked goods is unmatched. My favorites are the fresh berry and lemon scones, huckleberry hazelnut bars and bacon cheddar chive scone. We eat them in the car on the drive back and have made this a ritual any time we visit. We hope to stay for breakfast or brunch soon but based on how it looks and smells it will surely be delicious as well. Friendly staff and super cute location. Parking lot is tiny but lots of street parking available nearby.

Wanda's is ALWAYS a treat! They consistently knock it out of the park with their superb food and top quality service. Way to go, Wanda's staff! Cute and cozy atmosphere. It's worth the wait (they are typically busy and there's often a wait for a table).
Update: 3/11/23- I visit as often as I can and am never disappointed! They are updating their decor some (to keep it fun and interesting?) and offer "to go" items that are ready in their cooler and tasty if you just can't wait in line (there's usually always a wait for a table). I LOVE the French toast but don't spring the extra $1.50 for the toasted pecans as they aren't toasted at all. One of the best in the area!

Delicious, healthy, high quality food in a fun, ourdoorsy-historical-kitsch atmosphere. Had the eggs benedict and asked to sub ham for smoked salmon and add spinach.

They were happy to accommodate and it was delicious. The wait is considerable on weekends, be prepared to order coffee and sit outside while you wait. It's worth it.

Smoked salmon omlette, fruit cup, sourdough toast. Oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar and cream.
Excellent omlette. Firm and flavorful salmon, omlette fluffy not wet(the french like omlettes wet and undercooked, i like mine fluffy and done but not overly so) Perfection!
Oatmeal is over cooked and mushy but still palatable.
Coffee is Sleepy Monk local roasted, excellent choice as always.

It was too long of a wait to eat so we grabbed pastries and coffee. Really cool place and wish we would of had time to eat there. Maybe next time.

This is a very cute place in Nehalem. It looks small from outside but it is well laid out and has a total of 15 tables, including 8 in the patio. The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. We had their breakfast items and everything was cooked perfectly.

I finally stopped here to eat after talking about it for years, and I am full of regret for not doing so sooner.
The food and service here are outstanding. The ingredients are of high quality, and the menu items are prepared perfectly.
There is also a small gift shop and bakery attached where you can find nick-nacks, treats, and loads of bread.
