Nice place to stay. Staff was friendly and considerate. The free breakfast was a good way to start the day. The location was perfect, walking distance to many places and restaurants. The rooms were comfy and had all the amenities.

We were enjoyed a quiet weekend away with out the kids. We stayed in the main building on the 3rd floor, in a king non- smoking room. The room was very clean and spacious with spectacular views. The property is beautiful with plenty of outdoor space. We were pleasantly surprised to find the on-site island gym, including the hot tub/cardio room. The complementary breakfast was great. This is beautifully kept, non pretentious, family friendly and couple friendly resort motel. Note that there are no microwaves in the rooms and I sadly understand the reason for this. The staff is incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. We can’t wait to come back! This will be our go to for beach getaways!!

Loved our stay here! Location was amazing, close proximity to activities but far enough away from some of the busy areas; perfect if you are looking to relax a bit! Indoor and outdoor pools were both good. Room was spacious and clean and had a beautiful view of the bay. I was perfectly content to sit on the balcony for hours at a time and just take in the sights. It was also nice and quiet, I didn't hear noises from nearby rooms at all. Some say the rooms are a little outdated but I think that gives it nice character. The rooms have actual keys instead of digital cards which was cool! The property was beautiful with many nice little places to relax and just hang out. Breakfast was delicious; they had southern classics like biscuits and gravy and grits. The coffee was perfect, not super strong which is the way I like it. Front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would absolutely return!

My husband and I searched several other locations to get a place and this one kept popping up. Its reviews were amazing and the price was cheaper than other hotels that did not offer water views. We slept with the door to the balcony open and were awakened by the sound of the bay. We sat on the balcony and watched the birds. There are inside and outside pools, an exercise room and a boardwalk. We’ve had a problem with the breakfast at other hotels during this trip. It often tasted like cafeteria food. This place had the best breakfast of any place we stayed. The waitress was refilling everything and asked if we needed anything. We walked along their private boardwalk. The room had plenty of literature so that we could enjoy the amenities of Chickateague island. I highly recommend this hotel and wish we had stayed longer, but we had reservations elsewhere.

The Island Motor Inn is my go-to vacation destination when I want to visit Chincoteague Island. The rooms are clean and the water is always hot! The highlight for me is the breakfast served in the Cafe. Every morning, they have biscuits and sausage gravy (one of my childhood favorites)! A Belgian waffle bar! Freshly brewed coffee and tea packets for you to choose.
The pier out back is a quiet and cozy walk at night. The lights shining off the bay river are incredibly beautiful and make for a wonderful sunset evening. My favorite part of the pier is the hammock. They recently replaced the old one with new, and it is always out and ready for use.
Oh! The staff have always been polite and professional every year that I've made a visit. I highly recommend making this your hotel of choice for Chincoteague island!

Perfect location. Super friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast. Clean, comfortable rooms. 2 nice swimming pools. Convenient to lots of fun places. Amazing restaurants.

Spent two nights. Clean room, awesome water front views, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast. Am I missing anything else? I think I covered it all. Will return again.

Beautiful scenery right outside the balcony. Room was clean but had a lingering smell of old cigarettes. Opened up sliding door to air out. Pool very handy and they have a little Cafe area for continental breakfast. Very quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend.

This lil get away was amazing the rooms was clean but out dated but that didn't matter the staff the scenery and jacuzzi was everything I'll be back

Can't recommend enough. Stayed for a few days and it was quiet and relaxing. Your close to most of the main attractions without constant traffic. A small extra detail would be for those who enjoy lifting. It had the best gym iv ever been to in a hotel. You could argue its dated but I loved it.

This was an unplanned trip and had no reservations. We came here on a recommendation from one of the locals. The rooms are a little dated but by no means are they bad. They are very clean, beds were firm, and all have a water view. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, weight room. Property was well maintained and a great breakfast.

Clean rooms, beautiful views, private balconies, swimming pools, and hot tub. Breakfast is included. Convenient location near the causeway. Great staff

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Island Motor Inn Resort. It was relaxed, quiet, clean and the scenery from our waterfront balcony was beautiful. The indoor and outdoor pools were very nice as well. We didn't get to sample the free breakfast because the room was so quiet that we slept right through it! The bedding could use an update but it was clean. Staff was friendly. We'll be back!

Such a nice older hotel. Everything is well maintained. The employees were all happy and helpful. The beds are soft and cozy but a little on the small side if you have tall people in your family. The pools and jacuzzi was great! Overall great stay and experience. The rooms were very clean and the full breakfast was delish! We will come again.

We had a marvelous 3 night stay! Helpful and warm, friendly staff. Loved the location and balcony overlooking the water and bridge . Breakfast was delicious and Becky made sure everyone was supplied with everything they needed. The property was very clean and welcoming!

Great overall experience.the view was amazing and the rooms were very clean.the breakfast was good with a lot of variety.will be going again next month as I have stayed in four different places and enjoyed this the best

This was such a cozy stay! The owners and employees are nice and welcoming. Great view of the water. They have free laundry room and breakfast. An indoor and outdoor pool and great jacuzzi. If I come back in definitely staying here again ❤

Perfect location for a relaxing getaway.. We stayed three nights and were extremely impressed with our experience. Our room was cozy and the view from the private balcony was breathtaking. We were pleasantly surprised by the laundry facility and diner located on either side of the pristine outdoor pool. The landscaping is a sight to behold complete with exotic plants and a small pebbled path that led to a koi pond and fountains.
The people. I saved the best for last. The staff were not only professional, they were so friendly. My boyfriend and I had a few laughs and some great conversations in passing! The owners welcomed us and really made us feel at home. We were planning to try the hot tub after dinner one night and the owner came out with his mask and gave me the key so I wouldn't have to leave the car. He also was the best tour guide when we would stop by the lobby and we thoroughly enjoyed the places he reccomended. It was the best vacation we've had so we were sad to leave but will be returning when possible!

First off, I have been coming to the Island for more than 40 years...... so, what do I think of this place?

Location, staff, facility.... all top notch!!
Very few things wrong; biggest issue was no microwave in the room (which was barely noticed), and the water pressure could have been better (3rd floor room). .....
Now, for the things that stood out.... that VIEW was amazing!!
Every room has a water view.... and the entire hotel was spotless; the cleanest place i have ever stayed!! And, i cannot say enough about the staff.... good hot breakfast, too!!

We have a new home away from home on the Island, methinks!!!
