Bill's PRIME Seafood & Steaks

Very nice seafood and steak restaurant with excellent food. The wait staff was outstanding as well. Highly recommended. 👍🏼

My group of 5 had a great lunch with good service. It did seem very dark inside, which didn't fit a beach town to me. But I had just been at the beach for hours, so I was probably use to the bright outdoors. The breaded mushrooms were a yummy appetizer special, and I found a new favorite alcoholic beverage - passion fruit daiquiri. I recommend anything crab cake because the crab cake sandwich was excellent. Even without any sauce! They also make great steak fries!

Great food and service, but the tables were stuffed too much. A 6 top 2 feet from the door. A fire marshal would probably fine them. Could have just been for the holiday weekend, but seemed unsafe for entry and exit.

Bill's Prime Seafood and Steak was most definitely a 5 star experience!

First and foremost the interior was nice and welcoming, good ambiance.

The service was excellent! Our waitress was friendly, attentive and made our dining experience even better!

I ordered some oysters on the half shell (which were amazing!) and the fried seafood platter (which was equally great!!) and was thrilled with both choices.

In summary:
If you're looking for a higher end, high quality and overall great dining experience...then stop by Bill's Prime!!

Everything was the very best when we dined on Feb 9th. My wife's flounder with crab was the best she ever had and my fried Fisherman's Feast was better than any seafood that I have ever had. And it was such a huge serving that I could not finish it (and that has never happened before!). The bread was great. The baked potatoes with their toppings stand alone. The Cole slaw with its hint of apple was a surprise and was excellent. The setting was great; the service was fantastic, and the food was the best anywhere. I swear! Thank you for a great meal.

I think Bill’s is the quintessential restaurant for the destination. I went with every intention of having steak, but we ended up splitting the broiled seafood platter instead. It was superior in every way to the one we had at Pearl’s last night. Portions were generous. Chowder was packed with clams. Raw oysters were plump and bright. Fish was moist and tender. I never order mashed potatoes when dining out, but these were exceptional.

The owner was on the floor throughout the night and wished us well before we left.

We enjoyed everything about our dinner and would return.

Visited here today for the first time & certainly not our last. My partner said his burger was the best he’s had in years…the four cheese grilled sandwich was excellent with Parmesan dipping sauce accompanied by the incredible Granny Smith Apple coke slaw. Service, dining room both wonderful. Highly recommend to ESVA residents or visitors.

We had wonderful food! I had shrimp and grits very fresh and delicious, my husband got a mix of seafood 🦞🍢"can't remember the name" I have a picture. Highly recommend! Make a reservation or go earlier.

We were here for Father's Day and had a 7 p.m. reservation. It took 15 minutes to wait for our table, but after that, and even when VERY crowded, the hostess was great, the busboy was polite and helpful, the waitress (Deb?) was great, and the food was incredible. I am very impatient, but the promise of great food and service and atmosphere made it worth it - Great job Bill's!

I've been to Bill's before on work trips, so I knew we were going to have some great food. But, it has been awhile since I've been in the area, so I was wondering if it was still as good as I remember. Well it wasn't as good as I remember, it was much better. The food was outstanding. The Oyster Stew was sweet and salty, creamy and briny with at least a half dozen fresh oysters. Each Oyster was soft, delicate and briny. The Tropical Shrimp Salad is a must have in my opinion. It is delicious with the honey mustard dressing and the assortment of tropical fruits.
The main course was a pork shank osso buco. The shank was the size of a softball with plenty of meat. The grits were buttery and mixed well with the osso buco sauce. The entire dish was outstanding. Sweet and savory with the buttery grits all made an absolutely delicious bite. This restaurant definitely gave you your money's worth. We all left with leftovers for lunch the next day. The only downside is that we were too full to try the desserts, because they looked absolutely decadent. Hopefully we can get there again and save room for the final course.
It is close quarters and fills up quick, so there usually is a wait. So make reservations if possible. It will be worth the time.

We enjoyed our meal and service. We thought the portions matched the price. Crab cakes were full of crab and not just filler. They do have parking behind the restaurant to the left. Looks like making reservations for dinner would be a good idea.

This is the place. A+++ Chincoteague oysters are gigantic, the steamer clams were so good you don’t need drawn butter (but still), and the Ciopino *actually worth the price w that lobster so succulent and everything else. Julie - our server - was also A+++ I’m blown away and have serious seafood opinions being from the Jersey shore for generations. I might come back to the island just to eat at Bills. Not kidding. Thank you, thank you.

We had a most wonderful late lunch/early dinner at Bill's PRIME Seafood. Excellent service from the staff, and fantastic seafood.

We started with salads, and the lettuce was fresh and crisp. The Ceasar Salad was garnished with a good amount of flavourful parmesan cheese. The dressing was just right, not too tangy.

For entrees, we ordered the Norfolk Seafood Platter and the Shrimp Scampi. Both dishes were fantastic! Nice sized portions for both of us. I had the Red Mashed potatoes as a side, and they were equally as good as everything else. Also, we enjoyed the hot loaf of bread.

We didn't have any room for desert, but we might go back before we leave Chincoteague and try the Steamed Clams.

The quality of food and dining is excellent at Bill's PRIME Seafood. I highly recommend it, and we will visit again as well.

I loved the burger, fries and shrimp! Delicious, fresh food in a nice setting.
Service was great and the wait time was not too long.
It looks very small from outside but is more roomy once you get inside.
We will definitely visit Bill's on our next Chincoteague trip!

The oyster rockefeller was super good! For entree, I had the cioppino (stew with shrimp, mussel, clam, oyster, fish, small lobster tail) and I loved it! Make sure to call for a reservation ahead of time.

Very impressed! Stopped in for lunch. Best meal we had on the island! Soups, burgers, quesadilla and wrap. All delicious! Service was top notch too. Highly recommend and would definitely come back. A little expensive but worth it!

2021 I had one of the best Thanksgiving dinners at any restaurant that I've been to. Update 02/17/24 had a great Valentine's Weekend with my wife

This place proved to be an incredible find!!! Our server, Debra, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable! The food was absolutely wonderful!! We will certainly return every time we visit the area!

The food was delicious. I had the Tropical Shrimp Salad, fried scallops, steak fries, and cheesecake. It was all very good. The others in my party enjoyed their meals, too. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

This is a definite stop when you are on the island. Yes it is a little more pricey then other places but it is well worth it. The atmosphere is classy, great for a date or meal with friends. The menu is diverse and packed with flavor. My suggestion is to start with the stuffed mushrooms then either the Shrimp and Grits or Stuffed Flounder. The martinis are large and are around $12. Make a reservation, can fill up easily.
