Goochland Family YMCA

We belong to the Goochland YMCA. It is a little smaller than most and it may not have all the amenities that some do, but they make up for that with the staff. It is truly a family atmosphere when you walk into their doors. It is encouraging when you see the same smiling faces when you don't have the energy for that days workout. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that is looking for a place to improve themselves.

Love the quietness, not as busy, enjoyed working w/ Kati to get an exercise routine, all the staff is friendly & helpful, clean environment, clean bathrooms…no complaints & lots of praise!

There is a good variety of exercise options regardless of age, the class leaders re very encouraging and the participants friendly. I love the Y!

The Goochland YMCA is a bright spot in our new life here in town. The staff members & programs aim to meet the needs & desires of every age even down to providing responsible, engaged child care for our children so my husband & I can work out together. We are grateful for the Christian foundation & glory to God given for all the good which has taken place in this Y over the years.

I love the YMCA! It is affordable as well as friendly. I love it that I can go to any YMCA in the nation.

I love this ymca because of the super friendly staff who take time to get to know you by name! I also love the pool and lap swims and classes! I love the exercise classes esp Sunnies! I love the community my family and friends have built there! I feel very safe with all the extra steps they are taking to keep us safe during the pandemic.

It's a regular gym with good people. But Greg is the best person there. He motivates me to get up early every single morning and workout because he is working hard everyday to help his legs. And if he can do that at his age, I have no excuse to not get up and grind. I love seeing him when I visit. Yal are very blessed to have a person like him working for you.

This is a great place to bring the kids! It's great that they have an outdoor pool that's included with membership! The kids love going here!

The facilities are great, but my experience with the management team was outstanding. They went above the call of duty to make sure that my daughter’s first visit was enjoyable, despite the State’s fairly insane rules that they had to follow.

Excellent facilities, good range of exercise and weight training equipment, beautiful outdoor pool during the summer, friendly and helpful staff. Overall it's an amazing location.
