Dr. Raul B. Aguilar, PT, DPT.

I was experiencing some issues a couple years after knee replacement. My doctor suggested a cortisone injection or Physical Therapy. I decided on PT. Dr Aguilar came highly recommended and I am extremely happy that I did my Physical Therapy with him. Each Tuesday and Thursday for 3 months, I received specific exercises and treatments developed for me specifically.
At the conclusion of my treatments, I received exercises to do at home and at my gym.
I am so thankful for the care and support from Dr Aguilar. He was very kind, supportive and caring.

If I could give Dr Aguilar a rating of 10, I certainly would! I cannot say enough about what he has done for me in the last 3 months to increase the mobility in my neck & c-spine due to severe arthritis. I’ve been to other PT facilities for therapy after rotator cuff & shoulder surgeries but never searched for a DPT who could help me with movement issues. I never thought there was someone out there or in the Manassas area esp who could help someone older like me or care as much for his/her well-being as Dr A. I never heard of dry needling but when he recommended it, I agreed to try it, along with traction. I’m not going to tell you that some of the needles don’t hurt, but it’s the best kind of hurt that is so rewarding afterwards. And, what I didn’t mention is that Dr Aguilar is a one-man operation when it comes to his patients. He does all of these amazing procedures with his own two hands, always with a big smile & the best bedside manner of any doctor who’s ever treated me. He truly is an angel & only wants to help those people he treats. Honestly, this sounds like a “paid political announcement” but it’s all true. If you’re in pain & feel hopeless that there’s no one out there to help you, Dr Raul Aguilar is your therapist. I could’ve been selfish & not written this review bc I don’t want his one-on-one treatment to stop as he gets more clients. It’s your loss if you don’t seek out Dr A’s help! Last but not least, Doc has the absolute best office support. Her name is Lobe (& hope I have the correct spelling). She & Doc are the best team ever! Thank you both.

Dr. Aguilar helped me rehabilitate my knee after an ACL surgery and he was nothing but wonderful! It was actually my second surgery on the same knee and my previous PT did not restore my full knee capacity. However, Dr. Aguilar worked his magic while making physical therapy fun and engaging, and fully restored my motion in record time.

This review comes two years after my time at Universal Health (sorry doc) but it truly speaks to the amazing service that Dr. Aguilar provides. No pain and I’ve been back to my regular activities with full range!

Dr. Aguilar has been my go-to doctor for rehab after several ailments I’ve experienced, but the one that has been absolutely life-changing was my sciatic nerve pain.
My doctor advised that surgery would be the better option to relieve my pain which for me was not an option. I worked with Dr. Aguilar for a couple of months and I can honestly say he’s given me my quality of life back!!!
I’m back to doing yoga and working out at the gym, lighter weights and more reps because I’m not 35 anymore 😂! Prior to working with Dr. Aguilar, bending over to put on my shoes wasn’t an option, but that’s not the case anymore.😀

For my entire life I have suffered from severe and chronic tightness throughout my entire lower body, especially my calves. These lower body issues have resulted in 6 stress fractures over the last 8 years, hindering my ability to play in sports and overall general mobility. I was recommended to try dry-needling with Dr. Aguilar, however was extremely hesitant as I had never heard of dry-needling before.

Dr. Aguilar was very patient with me, understanding my concerns and took the time to clearly explain the process, the affects, and the benefits which calmed my nerves completely. The process, affects, and results which Dr.Aguilar explained to me happened exactly as he had described.

Since the dry-needling session, I feel like my younger self again, back before these issues began to wear on me. I feel 100x better than before and have noticed significant improvements on the tightness in my calves, range of motion in my ankles, and overall flexibility.

Dr.Aguilar’s facility is well equipped and ready to tackle any problem you need attention to. The space is clean, organized, and welcoming, along with the very friendly practice manager/reception staff.

Dr. Aguilar is incredibly passionate about his job and genuinely cares about his patients health improvements. Additionally, Dr. Aguilar is very personable and funny, brightening your mood with jokes and good conversations creating a welcomed distraction to some of your physical discomfort. Dr. Aguilar is a GREAT doctor and I appreciate and whole heartedly thank him and his team for everything they have done for me. I strongly recommend Dr. Aguilar and his team to anyone in need.

After been diagnosed for shoulder surgery by two different surgeons,I was referred to Dr.Aguilar who with his incredible work and experience, made my shoulder fully recover in less than two months.
I was able to return to my normal activities, do vigorous exercise, gymnastics, swimming, play tennis. In short, mi life returned to normal.
Now after a fall, I hurt my my other shoulder and I have started therapy again, having a rapid improvement.
I always recommended him to my family and friends as the best Therapist ever.

I have been suffering from chronic lower back pain for over a decade. The last 2 years my pain increased dramatically. I was in constant pain on a daily basis for the past 2 years due to a herniated disc. I was unable to do simple things like sit on a couch or pick up my 2-year-old.
I tried going to multiple chiropractors, spine specialist, & physical therapists that either gave me little relief or aggravated my back even more. My doctors told me to consider surgery but thankfully I found Universal Health.
I did not think it was possible for me to have zero pain and full mobility but after 4 months of treatment using, heat, dry needling, scraping, traction, ultrasound, and strength training I am finally out of pain! I wake up pain free every day.

Dr. Aguilar was not only my Doctor but also my mentor for over 6 weeks. At the time I was struggling with a knee injury that just wasn't going away and he was able to get me back into sports in a matter of 3 weeks. In January of this year when it was snowing I went to physical therapy at Dr. Agulair’s clinic in Manassas, VA from Florida.
He has helped me in December of 2017 with my fused neck. My doctor advised me not to do anything with my neck. So few years after surgery I did not go to physical therapy. The tightness in my neck became unbearable.
Dr Agulair was very gentle and very carefull with his adjustments to my neck. I plan to travel again when the weather permits me. My neck has made great improvements. Dr. Agulair is great at what he does. I travel back and forth from Florida to Virginia to see him. The staff is excellent. Appreciate u all for my care. Saeeda

Dr. Raul Aguilar is One of the best doctor in physiotherapy field I have met ever, in his scientific work, experience, plus his polite lovely way in dealing with his patients, I recommend him to all my friends who are in need to P. T. TREATMENT.

My doctor recommended dry needling. I figured I'd give it a try. UNBELIEVABLE! I'm feeling so much better. Been doing this now for at least 4 months. If I have to do this for the rest of my life just to avoid surgery, I'm ok with that!
