Mason District Park

Amazing sledding, for kids, teens, and adults. Could benefit from a few hay-bales to mitigate hazards, but it's actually a very gentle grade that makes it unlikely beginners would build up too much speed. There is a tiny brook at the end of the runout, but not an actual problem. Plenty of parking at the top of the hill, by tennis courts & amphitheater.

Love this place! I often use the amphitheatre for weddings when it's available, the location is very convenient and having a covered space makes it easy rain or shine!

A huge park in Annandale next to Columbia Pike with various sports fields, lovely amphitheater, historic sites and hiking trails. It is a refreshing and relaxing oasis in the bustling urban area.

Beautiful park with picnic area, small water pond but dirty, soccer field, enough parking space on site, nice dog park, nice trail inside park to walk, small concert place. Just need better maintenance

The park is huge and nice. The restroom is clean. The dog park is so big.

Great big park! Turf field, baseball field, soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, trails, playground, grilling area, shelter with bathrooms. Everything you need Mason District has it. Plenty of parking. There's also an amphitheater and puts on multiple concerts. Great family park all around!

A peaceful oasis in the heart of our neighborhood. More trails than you might think. A successful stream restoration project on Turkeycock Run has increased the ecological health of the stream valley to our benefit.

It's a huge place, with fields for many different sports as well as a dog park, a playground, trails into the woods which lead into gorgeous landscape. I love to take the dogs I walk/sit there to run around off leash and smell things and have a great time in general. Oh! And don't forget about the Thursday Farmer's Market!! It always has great stuff, including a booth of local garden experts with whom it is fantastic to converse. They all know tons, and if they don't know about something they'll look it up, though I personally have never seen any of them need to. The produce selection is vast, and there are plants and crafts and baked goods (the cupcake girl mixes addictive substances into her cupcakes I swear it, that or she sold her soul to Martha Stewart at the crossroads one night) and even a spice & tea vendor who sells spices & herbs & mixtures thereof, including herbal tea blends, made with things grown on his farm. They're to die for, too!

Mason District has a great farmers market on Thursdays. The playground has enough variety to entertain multiple kids but small enough that you're not going to wonder where they are. It also has a great picnic area by the playground.

Over 3 miles of wooded trails, open space, streams and a pond, bbq picnic tables and shelters, turf soccer field, LL baseball and softball fields, a dogpark, 200 seat ampitheater w/ restrooms, and tennis courts.

It's a nice park to take a leisurely walk, from a few steps to a few miles, sometimes you can see deers foraging and small foxes, the drainage that crosses from south to north sometimes flows with lots of water. I usually hike twice a week for four miles each time. It's very relaxing and rewarding physically and emotionally.

Awesome clean with great views and places for you to walk they have restrooms. Great fields to play Basketball ,football ,tennis and soccer good places for kids with park and it's very save well that's just my opinion

Another great Fairfax park with fun playgrounds, tennis courts & soccer fields, along with nice paths through woods & fields. Plan a picnic & day of fun here!

Lovely wooded area that has been significantly improved with woods cleanup, trails better marked and not very crowded at this time of year.

IT is so beautifull, good exercise to walk around, i didnt see almost anybody around
