Holiday Inn Express Durham, an IHG Hotel

The clerk at front desk (Sat, 10.14.2023 PM) during check-in was friendly and provided outstanding service even while multi tasking.

The room was nice and clean. The shower was great.
Breakfast was included and was very tasty.

I had a pleasant, quiet, affordable visit. What more could I ask for?? :-)

I would stay at this Holiday Inn Express again & highly recommend.

Very pleased with my staying this weekend. A pleasant surprise for the small town of Durham. The hotel was very clean and my room was very nice. The bed was so comfortable. The room had a refrigerator and microwave and all of the basic amenities for washing your body and hair. There was also an iron and ironing board. The front desk Employees were also very polite and I was pleased with the service I received. Feeling safe at the hotel was a good thing because I was traveling solo. So I was also pleased with the safety of the hotel.

This location fit our needs while in the area. Comfortable room and accommodating staff. Thank you.

Clean, quiet and nicely designed rooms w comfy bed and pillow. Good lighting (task and general). Super nice staff. The breakfast had a ton of options from hot items like cinnamon rolls, pancakes, omlettes, biscuits and gravy, etc. to cereal, fruit, toast, etc. Right off freeway.

I don’t know if there is a more clean hotel in the country. Seriously, I’m 36 y.o., travel for work and this is the cleanest hotel I have EVER seen including 5 star hotels. There is no dust, no rust, smells good, no random pieces of hair, the fridge is nice and clean…you know how you can tell a space has really been cleaned…this is it 😭. I stay here EVERY single time I am in town for work. I won’t stay any place else. Also, excellent customer service.

Room had queen beds, spacious, loved the layout. I am a stickler for comfortable pillows, nailed it, very comfortable!!! Everything clean to expectation. Bathroom roomy and the shower was divine, water flow consistent, not in and out, nor hot and cold. Pleasurable breakfast, Gene made sure coffee and food was still available, even when we arrived close to breakdown...thanks Gene, we enjoyed interacting with you, thanks for smiles and your heart of hospitality💙

This is the best hotel that I have ever stayed at. We were in Durham because my husband was having surgery at the hospital and they were extremely accommodating to me and my husband, especially Patti who helped us carry our stuff into a handicapped room after seeing he was limping. When we were admitted back into the hospital, they were so accommodating to my parents and were very understanding of our situation. This will be the only hotel we will stay on when we come back to Durham. Very lovey and nice employees!!

Our room and the common areas were all super clean. Covid safety measures are reasonable and gently enforced. Breakfast was varied and efficient, with a decent variety, and hot ideas were served by a kindly gentleman who took great care of us! Honestly, the staff were *all* especially kind people. Anthony is a darling and has fantastic local food suggestions! Thanks, y'all! Definitely worth a stopover here.

Newly renovated 4th floor seemed very nice. Room was comfortable and clean. I had left my feather pillow at home and that is always an issue for me. However the soft pillow was not bad to sleep on. I was not as pleased with breakfast as I have been at other HIE properties and the coffee was absolutely terrible. Overall a very good stay though. Convenient to our destination.

We had a wonderful stay at your location Steve greeted us nicely and checked us in with a smile all the staff we came in contact with were friendly. Anthony checked us out he was friendly and kind served us with a smile we found our room clean and sanitized. Keep up the great work as you serve the public I plan to return soon again thank you the franchise owner should know that you all are an asset to his location.

They we're really helpful and just all around nice the entire time we were there. Breakfast had a pretty wide variety of options and there was a very nice gentleman who would go around asking to take plates and if we had enough to eat offering several times to get people more food. Beautiful room and we slept better than I believe we ever have in a hotel.

Very comfortable King Size Bed w/pillows. Bathroom is super clean. Absolutely love that they have a microwave and fridge in the room with a little soft & desk to enjoy a meal while watching TV. Location is just great, especially while driving on by and need a quick clean comfortable place to stay overnight. Kid friendly and different varieties for their Free Breakfast.

Very clean and comfortable place for our overnight stay. Did notice that the lobby and other areas were very secure and needs a room key. Breakfast was the usual iteams but we're pretty good. Over all it was a nice hotel to stay at.

We stayed one night. Great location. The rooms are clean,the staff were very pleasant and helpful, comfortable beds and the room updates look great. Very nice breakfast! Will stay again.

Quiet location. Adheres to C19 protocol. Room was spotless and appeared newly renovated. Comfortable, clean mattress. Pillows were way too soft and compressed. Some hotels offer a firm and soft pillow combos, which is needed here. Otherwise, had a very comfortable night. Bfast was a "grab and go" sack combination, but extra items offered. You will have enough to eat to start your day.

This hotel is awesome! Checking in was a breeze and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. I live in Greensboro and I have to come to Durham for my eye appointments at Duke Eye Clinic. This hotel had a shuttle to take me to and from my appointment and the manager even allowed me to check-out an hour and a half after the regular time because my appointment ran late. The complimentary breakfast is quite extensive for a hotel that doesn't go out of it's way to be elaborate. I definitely plan on making Holiday Inn Express my go-to hotel when I have appointments at Duke in the future

Clean and comfortable. I stayed here a couple nights while visiting my father at Duke University Hospital. There is a nice park, Oval Park, between the hotel and the hospital where we stopped for my nephew to play. The staff was courteous, especially Maria, and the breakfast was great.

Super comfortable queen suite. Shower 🚿 is astonishing - it's like getting a massage - very large shower head with even pressure throughout - and enough pressure to power wash an elephant. Was a treat. Bed super comfortable. Suite was clean and amazing.
