The staff was very nice, helpful, and friendly. My daughter had eye surgery and the nurses made sure she was comfortable before and after her surgery. The doctor was also very nice and professional by taking the time to explain what he did during surgery and what steps should be taken to care for her eye. The nurse also provided a meal for not only my daughter, but for me as well.

I don't think I left a review when this happened in 2019 because I had been so sick. East Jefferson hospital ABSOLUTELY SAVED MY LIFE. I had a wound on my arm that became infected. It didn't look that bad & I hate to admit that I'm even a nurse! By the time I got to the E.R. my temperature was almost 103 degrees. I spent almost a week in the hospital, had to have a PICC line inserted because the two powerful antibiotics were too strong for a regular IV. Thank you and God bless the wonderful staff.

We have known this hospital over a five-year span as patients. We had diagnostics done, routine annual care, as well as inpatient care, and we received exceptional care in all departments. The doctors and nurses were all unhurried, caring, and professional, especially in the women's clinic and birthing center. Dr. Traci Iwamoto and the breastfeeding team deserve a special mention. They were available at all times and even returned calls after hours, on multiple occasions. The rooms were clean and quiet. All mothers with newborns are in single rooms. Thank you, EJGH!

I came in with my fiancee as a transfer from a smaller hospital. We were on the Pulmonary wing. All the Doctors and nurses were great. Nurse Eva was OUTSTANDING. We had a great stay. Nice private room. Free parking. They were relativly free with pain meds. He has a chest tube and may require an additional surgery.
In my 50 something year life one of my best hospital experoences. Only draw back is the hospital food leaves a LOT of room for improvement. Everythings pretty much overcooked under spiced.
But hey we aint here for the food. Lol. Weve been here about 1 week.
Good experience. Exceptional Drs and Caring knowledgable compassionate nurses.

All the staff I met were phenomenal and kind. Everyone introduced themselves to me and thoroughly put me at ease for my same-day procedure. Thank you, East Jeff!

I was an outpatient patient at EJH on 7/7/22.
I am a 76 year old general surgeon that has performed thousands of operations.
Yesterday , believe it or not, was the first time in my life I under went general anaesthesia for a surgical procedure.
Literally the tables were turned!
I can’t begin to tell you how terrific the entire process was, and how professional and personal (family warm) the experience was.
The entire surgical crew from nurses , to the CRNA, to the techs and to the MD’s taking care of me and my wife are!
I wish I could remember all the names.
My ENT doctor , Dr. Matthew Cooper was great .
The East Jefferson Hospital, made me feel proud of my profession . As we all know these are difficult times and the last two years especially, but you wouldn’t know it from the care given to me.

Staff member Laqueisha who works in the house keeping department was super helpful in helping me get a friend in a wheelchair and her service dog to the restroom. Even though she was on her break, she stopped to help through the entire process which took approximately 15 minutes. I wish I could coin a word or a phrase that would show my deep appreciation for her.

Urgent care sent me to the emergency room since they couldn’t help me. I was seen right away. My doctor came up with a comprehensive plan to get to the bottom of my illness. My nurse was very warm and attentive, and made for as pleasant an experience as possible. I would recommend this ER.

I absolutely love my OB/GYN at EJ! I was scheduled for an induction but required an emergency C-section after hours of labor (It’s my 1st baby). The team of doctors and nurses that delivered and cared for me and my baby were incredible to say the least. We stayed in the hospital for 4 full days, and my baby, though full term, stayed in the NICU for about 3 of those days. Everyone, from the medical staff to dietary, was amazing. The NICU team took amazing care of my little one. The Walgreens pharmacy even called to check on me. EVERYONE I interacted with was kind, caring, and made my partner and I feel completely at ease during what could have been one of the most stressful and scary moments of our lives. My baby is safe and healthy, I’m recovering SUPER quickly (I delivered exactly one week ago), and we will forever be an East Jeff family. Not only that, I went to the ER for severe fibroid pain almost halfway through my pregnancy, and even the ER doctors and nurses were great.

My family has been treated here for everything from pneumonia to orthopedic surgery. And, believe it or not, it has been just about flawless.
I have a lot of trouble with walking and so I really appreciate the way the hospital is laid out. The ER is efficient and each patient is put in a private curtained area for treatment. They even have chairs for a family member. 😁. The staff from nurses to security guards, dietary to aides go out of their way. I’ve even had a lovely young man who worked polishing the floors escort me thru the maze of corridors to the ER security desk and arrange a cart ride to my car (at 3 a.m.)
An example of the culture here is that I wrote a letter praising the man who helped me to my car. One of the administrators wrote me back and thanked me for thanking them.

Considering the situation my wife had the best possible care!
Excluding the head of ICU everyone was exceptional, professional and showed a great culture of caring!

I thank the special ones and encourage the slackers and rude ones to rise to the level of their piers !

East Jefferson General Hospital not only saved my life, but made sure all my healthcare issues were addressed. They kept my spirits up even when I was at my lowest. So a big Thumbs Up and Thank You to the nurses, nursing assistants, nursing students, and everyone in between. All of the 3 East staff members. Who all helped with my recovery. The nurses called me Sugar Baby at night because my blood was so sweet😂. Even the Doctor's tried to keep my spirits high. Especially Dr. Leslie Rodrigue, Dr. A. Graebert and Dr. James McCullough!
☆My only issue was room service kept sending me the wrong food order occasionally (ie: food I'm not allowed to eat for health reasons).

The Staff and Doctors are outstanding. They caring and attentive to your needs. Entered with a emergency Thanksgiving eve and was taken care of swiftly and with genuine concern. Thanks EJGH

I was seen in the Emergency department on Super Bowl Sunday, for a fall. I had X-rays and a CT scan and was home in 2 hours. In November I waited with my Mom for X-rays and a CT scan at Ochsner for over 5 hours. The staff was friendly and professional. Cubicle was not very private but that’s okay.

My family was there for ground breaking till last year when both died with weeks. Great staff. Many long term ,that matters. Every house keeing. All helpful and smiling. Glad ICU Has great hours.

The nursing staff in icu and the 5th floor are amazing..
The doctors that are taking care of my mom are top notch ..

Very efficient and professional staff. I was here with my Dad who had major surgery performed. The hospital functioned in a patient and family friendly manner.

I have nothing but praise for everyone at east jefferson hospital. Everyone is very professional and very friendly. The doctors are the best.

Absolutely the most professional, clean and excellent hospital I have ever been treated in. I had breast cancer surgery and I couldn't have had a better experience.

Except for the emergency room it's a pretty nice day if you end up being in the hospital
