We had a fabulous meal! Hubby had the Cheeseburger and I had the grilled salmon wrap … both cooked perfectly and we were brought a huge extra set of fries, as the owner told us my salmon was not cooked as I had ordered, so he gave us the fries to compensate the wait. Funny thing is we didn’t even think we had waited to long😀👏🥳👍❣❣

The food was good, we received a great welcoming from beginning to end. Our waitress Maryana gave us excellent service. We order salmon with Cilantro lime rice and brocoli, Steak with Mash Potatoes and asparagus, Pasta Alfredo and Cheeseburger with fries. Let me start with the Salmon was so tender delicious, great flavor, rice was good.The steak was very good,tender and juicy, mashed potatoes also good, the cheeseburger meal was good. The Alfredo Pasta was the star of the night, was extralicious, very cheesy, very flavorful, the parmesan cheese had a distinct authentic flavor. Let's talked about dessert, we oder the cheescake but we didn't care for it was too pasty, not flavor. BUT The ultimate Chocolate Brownie was the bomb, the presentation was so inviting even though I'm not a chocolate dessert lover but once I took a bite I couldn't stop eating, so savoring, so gooey, it melt in your mouth, worth the calories.

Fresh Chef holds true to there name with "Fresh". Their entrees, appetizers are incrediblely tasteful and wonderfully spiced - and blended masterfully. I'd love to get into details of every dish I've had, I'll simply summarize that Fresh Chef serves up high quality, farm fresh foods and ingredients. Rich in flavor, deep colors signifying freshness and quality. The menu is well balanced for starters, salads, entrees, different meats and other. You'll find an entree to fit your appetite.
The Conover, NC location is situated slightly off the path but easily found and accessible. Love the outdoor seating with shade or heat (depending on preference and weather). I also like the booth settings because they are roomy, comfortable and spacious for a party to eat comfortably. Lighting is optimal throughout the restaurant. This is quite important because too bright is bothersome, and too dark can be a strain on your eyes.
Staff is incredible, well managed and highly attentive. If a staff (any staff) passes your table and notice an empty beverage they'll stop and refill. They'll even ask if everything is going good. I believe the owner (Kelly?) has done an excellent job leading his group.

This place is very nice. Service is excellent! This was our first time here and we look forward to coming back. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Full bar and a exciting menu. There’s something for everyone on the menu. The food was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this place. You can tell it’s managed well.

Had another great meal. I had the trout and my wife had the scallops.

One of few places where I can order 5 plus different menu items. Consistently taste great, fast, and more healthy choices than a greasy spoon. Friendly staff, great weekday specials too! Shrimp &grits are amazing, herbed shrimp anything, meatloaf, etc! Fast lunch option. Food always pretty timely most visits. Offer take out and curbside.
Side note: I had tried to stop eating fries as a side, but their shoe string fries are amazing!

Awesome food, service atmosphere. We did go there during non rush hour. We were seated right away. The food was awesome. Definitely go again

We had a group of 15 people on a Saturday night. Our service was stellar, and the food was great! AND, it came out promptly. Its been a long time since I’ve had this good a dining experience, on all fronts, and this place deserves a huge shout out. I will be back!

You will never know about this place if you are just passing threw if you don't accidently come across it. It is well worth the stop. The service was fast and friendly. Michael knew the menu and had suggestions of what he enjoyed best and what they sell a lot of. I got a burger that was cooked to perfection nice thick burger. Amazing flavor, was about more than I could eat. My friend got the chicken picota which I tasted the sauce was a smooth buttery lemon sauce but not to lemony. Chicken was melt in your mouth tender. We are on the patio it was clean as was the inside of the restaurant and the restrooms as well. Good 1970's rock music playing but not loud. So you could hear each other talk. Everything was perfect here. I was there about 5 but about 6 it got busy. The locals came boiling in. If there was a 10 I'd give this place a 10. Don't forget the key lime pie

The fresh chef is one of the best you'll find in Conover. Katherine is a top notch manager that will ensure you have a pleasant experience! Very clean and well kept as well. Highly recommended!

Absolutely awesome meal and drinks . Had a work dinner with 10 people and service was awesome. Will be back. 8/5 took the wife to lunch here today, absolutely amazing, great bloody Mary and shrimp and grits was great, we sat at the bar and the bartender was awesome.

I ate here for the first time recently. The food was really wonderful, and the staff were great. My favorite observation was that all the staff is willing to help you, vs just your waitress like literally every other restaurant. For example, offering the refill my drink and take our empty plates. I’m still giving 5 stars but I did have one dislike, which was the constant loud banging coming from the kitchen. I’m guessing it was necessary but it was distracting as I’m sensitive to noise. But, the food and service was so great I’d go again.

Don't eat here WITHOUT trying the Shrimp n' Grits. Fantastic taste! So rich, I took half to go and indulged in the homemade Peach Cobbler. Glad I did...

Excellent food and service! Minority friendly! Great location! Huge portion sizes for the money. It is a little pricey, but the quality and quantity of the food makes it worth it! Definitely need to visit!

Excellent chicken salad sandwich and asparagus. The mashed potatoes were good ,but were not hot. I would definitely recommend!!!

Amazing dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. We did not have reservations but the staff was able to seat us quickly when the restaurant was very full. Food was fantastic, service was wonderful. Will be returning!

Very welcoming! On our first visit, it was raining, my husband pulled to the front door, and the host met me at my car with an umbrella!! Wow! Excellent wait staff, bar staff, and management. Food is excellent. We have visited several times, and both the food and service have exceeded expectations. Exactly what we need in our area! Give them a try!

Took a coworker/friend here for her birthday and I had the Greek omelette with a side of fruit. Excellent.
