The best. We are in the hands of, in my opinion of one of a very well educated Police Department capable of providing, responding and able to serve and protect it's general public in every facet that they are called to perform.

You guys do know the Tayvin Case happened in Newton, IA not in Newton, NC. This police department is from North Carolina not Iowa.

To those who are upset over the football player arrest this is Newton, NC...not Newton, Iowa. Be better.

Very pleased with Newton police dept. Quick to respond and most that I’ve had the opportunity to meet are very good men and women.

A good police department to go to when you need help with anything or whatever it may be and good officers to talk to and chit chat with about problem in the neighborhood

shame on officer winters stepping all over that football player constitutional rights
on the high beam pull over. he was not evan close to being drunk.
kid was a wise guy so understand.
but being a cop goto deal with that and let it go.
Really makes the newton police department look bad and know there mostly great cops.

If I could give you a ZERO I would! How the hell does Nathan Winters still have a job? His treatment of atavin Galanakis is unconscionable! The video is out there. The public can see PRECISELY what happened. I hope he wins in court with a HUGE payout. I usually back the blue, but not when the officer in question is a worthless tyrant. Do the right thing. Send Winters packing!!!

Was lied to repeatedly by police chief. Son detained illegally and charged with crime he obviously could not have committed. Media encouraged by police chief to harass minor. Even when faced with empirical evidence that they made a mistake, they refuse to acknowledge or apologize for that mistake. Just a terrible excuse for public servants.

Winters and “6” have small peen syndrome.

Unlawful arrests and violating the constitution is their M.O.
