Each year this house goes all out for Halloween, displaying hundreds of skeletons, each of them with a different outfit and accessories.

The skeletons reference famous actors, musicians, characters from movies. Each one has its own pun to accompany them! Great place to visit during October in NOLA

Located on St Charles and right on the streetcar line, this is a perfect spot for a spooky not gory decorations. Fun to be seen by all. A little parody and a lot of fun, this is great to look at. I was in the middle of doing errands and stopped by on a nice Sunday in October and was pleasantly surprised and delighted. I recommend anyone in the area stop by for a gander. You will not regret it at all.

Went there with my daughter and her family while my husband and I were visiting them in Covington. Love how every skeleton has a play on a celebrity's name. Well worth the trip over The Causeway. Went to the Kraken House, too.

Love the Skeleton House! It's a favorite Halloween spot of us locals and those visiting! Each year it changes slightly, but the quirky messages and skeletons remain. Muhahahha!

This is an annual New Orleans Halloween staple. Very punny & always on trend. It is a house on St Charles with the front yard decorated in skeletons with punny signs. You look at it from the sidewalk. It can get crowded, on the road & the sidewalk, especially closer to Halloween. Don't miss the stuff on the roof 😈👻

I absolutely adore this piece of New Orleans culture. I've heard of the skeleton house before, and seen plenty of pictures but it's not the same as going in person. After riding past on the streetcar several times, I hopped off for a closer look and proceeded to laugh until I cried.

They seem to have more skeletons every year, and definitely new jokes although you'd think they'd run out by now. The whole thing is just delightful good fun, and I look forward to seeing what next year brings as well.

Once you're done reading puns, snapping pictures, and laughing so hard you start wheezing, I do recommend taking a wander through the neighborhood to admire the other architecture and the other Halloween decorations. The city takes it pretty seriously and there are some excellent displays.

10 years now, this has become a late October tradition- to see the skeleton house.

We love to see the ever changing displays and marvel at the wit and creativity.

So thankful they open their home(yard) to the public- it’s always a treat to meet out-of-towners!
