This office is wonderful! Very kind and attentive! I felt all my concerns were heard and addressed. Dr. Motz is very friendly and has such a great staff! And of course we can’t forget about Patton, Maryland’s first dental therapy dog! He’s such a cutie.

I came in with a lot of anxiety toward dental work from years of painful work. Dr. Motz and his staff completely disarmed me, made me feel at ease and have changed the way I feel about visiting the dentist. I went from dreading/avoiding the dentist, to now actively looking forward to my appointments. Customer service is always great and his work is second to none. I can’t recommend this practice enough.

This was my second visit to the office and another 5 stars. Everyone is so nice and makes sure you’re comfortable and ok the entire time. No judgmental attitudes or lectures at all. I’ve always had anxiety about going to the dentist but they truly put me at ease. Very highly recommend!

My first visit today and it was extremely pleasant from the time I walked in until I left. Jen cleaned my teeth and did a great job. Everything was explained to me perfectly. The Dr. Motz was very nice. I didn't feel pressured into doing anything I didn't want. The highlight was Patton their Emotional Support Therapy Dog. He is a Bull Dog and he made me very happy. Believe it or not, I can't wait to go back.

I've been a patient at Monocacy Valley Dental for a couple of years and have nothing but good things to say. They are the nicest folks, the hygienists are always thorough with the cleanings and Drs. Motz and Patel did a great job replacing my decades-old metal fillings with new crowns. I'd highly recommend this practice!

From someone who has severe dental anxiety, I recommend Dr Motz. He made sure I was comfortable and pain free before and during my dental procedures. Dr Motz and staff are very pleasant and explains dental concerns clearly. I always feel like I am in good hands. I would give this office 10 stars if I could. And I must mention that I met the best dental therapy dog there: General Patton! 🐶 ❤

I wanted to share this review because I hope it will help others who may like me suffer from dental anxiety.

I have had a long journey with dentists due to a bad orthodontist who caused heavy damage to my teeth. Every dentist office till now looked at me like a cash cow and really never tried to get a true plan together to get ahead of the major work that needed to get done. My wife found this office because this dentist specialized in restorative work that makes people like me, who are terrified of dentists, dread going, and just never wants to take pictures where I smile, feel comfortable and secure that the dentist has my best interest at heart. The moment I entered this office, the front desk lady immediately recognized I was terrified, asked if I was ok, introduced me to their office dog Patton who helps with anxiety, and I immediately felt welcomed. It only got better from there. Dr. Motz showed me a true plan and really took the time to listen and put together a comprehensive plan that actually comes out ahead of all the issues I was constantly facing. Now, I finished my last major work today and walked into the office for the first time since I was maybe 14 so 20 years now without any anxiety or fear because I knew his team had my back. Incredible, incredible people. It renews my faith that people do care about others outside of compensation or monetary value, this team cares about me as a patient and individual.

I am sorry this is so long but if you read to here, my hope is that you immediately book an appointment and let this team show you the power of not only incredible work but show you that kindness and compassion for what people face in their every day life matters and they are here for you! Thank you Dr. Motz and the entire team at your office (including Patton and Barrett).

Today I was so emotional I cried just to see my temporary crowns. I’ve been in so much pain due to past dental care. Dr. Motz cared about me today with such amazing skills but more importantly, his Bedside Manor. He has such amazing team members. They are family to him. I wish I had found him sooner. If you are looking for personalized Dental Care don’t hesitate since I left his office today I just want to smile and show off to the world. My family members are receiving photos of my beautiful mandibular temporary crowns. 😎( sorry kids) I can only imagine how I'm going to feel when the permanent crowns come in. This is the best dental office I have ever been to. I have bad dental anxiety and everyone was so nice and completely non-judgmental. Patton the adorably sweet dog is also there to help anxious patience. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend Dr. Motz and his team! Everyone in the office is kind and compassionate from front desk to check-out. Dedicated time and care has always been given for every visit for both my husband and me. We’re glad we found this office!

This was my very first visit to Monocacy Valley Dental today and I was received so warmly by each staff person I encountered. The dental hygienist who worked on me (Jen) was kind, gentle, thorough, friendly and professional. I’m happy I made the switch to this dental group.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this entire dental office, including their adorable therapy dog and pup-in-training!!

I’ve always struggled with anxiety at the dentist’s office for so many reasons. Dr. Motz and his staff immediately made me feel so comfortable and I never felt judged or bad about my fears!

Even when my daughter was having severe anxiety because she needed to be numbed for a procedure, the staff were always very patient and understanding with her. They supported her until she was comfortable enough to continue with the procedure.

They are an amazing dental practice and I’d recommend them over and over again!

My 9yr old had an amazing first experience today! She has extreme dental anxiety and all the staff were so patient and pleasant with her! Jen was her hygienist and explained every step of the appointment! Couldn’t be happier! Lexi is very excited to go back and hopefully meet the real Patton! She got to snuggle and take home a stuffed pup that looked like him though! Thank you all so much!!!

Always a great experience. Staff is great and very friendly. Dr. Mottz does a great job making sure my teeth are clean and healthy.

No one likes dentists but this place made me feel at ease - Megan took my X-rays and pre-exam and was awesome! She explained everything as she was doing it. Met Dr Motz whose bedside manner was greatly appreciated! Looking forward to my future dental work with less anxiety- much appreciated!

Best dentist ever! Dr. Motz and all of his staff are so kind and make sure you are comfortable. I had to have a root canal on a tooth that had trauma over a decade ago and was a little nervous about it despite my dental background. Dr. Motz reassured me that I wouldn’t feel anything and he was right! I can’t wait to go back!

I had my first visit with Monocacy Valley Dental today. I have neglected my teeth for far too long and was super nervous about going to the dentist. Not only was the staff super friendly, but very knowledgeable as well! They made sure I understood everything that they were doing, were going to do and what needed to be done. They were gentle (which was a HUGE plus for me) and made sure I was comfortable the whole time.
A major bonus was that they have an emotional support dog there! I am a dog lover at heart and getting to love on Patton!!
I might actually be looking forward to my future cleanings now!

I have had such a good experience at Monacacy Valley Dental. The office is clean and all the staff, hygienists, and dentists are very friendly and professional. Dr. Patel is absolutely amazing. She is very gentle and kind in her approach and for a nervous dental patient like myself she has made it feel like a breeze!
