Beautiful lake as well as the surrounding area. Great for a walk around the lake, having a picnic or just sitting by the peaceful water. Stop and relax here. There is a nearby gazebo to sit under as well if you would like.

A frederick gem! You can fish, Ive seen some good size bass caught here. Lots of ducks, geese and other types of cranes. Great for dog walking, running or just a stroll around the lake. Great neighborhood. Closes at dark

I LOVE this place! The calming sound of the fountain, walking trail, picnic area and covered sitting area/benches for peacefulness and soul healing. I crave nature, water and the ability to sit and read, think, watch and work and this place always makes me better!!!

What a hidden gem! I am glad that I found this park. When I went there in the late afternoon, many families and people with dogs were walking on the path surrounding the lake. I felt very safe in this area and the views of the lake and the mountains in the back were gorgeous!

The park has a lake but no swimming. Not very big but a nice place to bring the kids. Has path that you can walk around the lake. It has park benches and a pavilion with picnic tables.

I adore this park and lake. A very dear friend of mine used to visit every day and feed the ducks and geese as well as walk around the lake. At times there is sidewalk chalk left out and kids will draw all along the sidewalk to brighten up the walk!

Lake Whittier is so beautiful!! If you stand on the side by the parking lot where the restaurants are, you'll have the best view of the lake and mountains!
There are always lots of geese, sometimes hundreds, but they don't bother you. There's also a beautiful walking path that goes along the whole lake, as well as bridges and a cute white gazebo.

Gorgeous area. Beautiful fish, turtles, and ducks around the area. I go there to lie on the grass and chill. I see people fishing there often.

No playground but it’s a circle and you can walk around and around with your kids and dog. Clean and full of ducks, turtles and fish. Some people do fish here. Not sure what the rules are. There are also a few pavilions to sit and have lunch. Not a good place to play with a ball as it will
End up in the water. There are also a few restaurants close by.

Well cared for lawns, trees and plantings. An asphalt walkway circles the lake with benches at intervals. Lots of waterfowl in and out of the water. It is so very pleasant.

Clean open water with many areas to fish. Long walking paths. Dog friendly. Places to park during normal day hours. Good places to grab some food at. Safe for kids.

Whittier is a great place to live and visit. Lots of mature trees and nice size lake with fountain. Lots of ducks and Canadian geese. Ducks are friendly but the geese are not. Very relaxing to walk around the lake especially in the early morning and evening time. Several small shops, gym and restaurant around lake. Fishing with a license is allowed at the lake. So relaxing. Entire area is surrounded by beautiful small mountains. Plenty of on-street parking and parking lots for retail establishments. Air is so fresh and clean in this area. The sun rises and sets are beautiful. People are so friendly. Area is very child friendly. Whittier Elementary school is directly across from lake. Great place to take family. The entire community is very diverse where all are welcome to live and play. So happy we call this place home!

Serene location just off of Yellow Spring Road, this lakeside sits as a tranquil vista beside eateries and retail locations. A quiet walk by the water sets you at ease.
