Great place for live music and people watching. The staff has always been incredible and friendly and the bartenders are some of the best I've dealt with. They do a great job of looking ahead of the line to anticipate the guests needs. Even when the place is shoulder to shoulder packed, you never wait long for a drink. They do a great job booking bands and the shows are always a ton of fun.

Great place. Large selection of credit beers in a very cool setting . Very friendly staff. Make sure to say hi to Emily, great bartender. Any great bartenders here, always a great place for awesome beer , bands and friends. Always the latest selection of craft brews. Great people as well.

Great spot to relax with a cold brew! I love that it's pet friendly. Jeff (owner) has done a great job with the outdoor areas. A variety of live music on the weekends... so check out the schedule on their FB page.

Wonderful place, loved the atmosphere and decor, food truck available but stop at B52 restaurant around the corner. Primal habanero lime, my wife liked the French toast Ale. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Super nice place! Plenty of craft beer to choose from. They usually have a food truck located on site. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place if your in the area. Can’t wait to go back.

Family friends had a surprise party. The upstairs party room was pleasantly pretty and warm with overstuffed chairs, books, and games with an outside area. Great selection of beers. I don't believe they serve food, I didn't see a menu.

Great place! We just bought a house in January in Newton and have come downtown once a week minimum. Novel Taproom has been on our to do list and we stopped by today. Jordan loved the beer, we loved the setting and everyone there that we met!

A group of us from Taylorsville has been coming here regularly and the beers, staff, vibe and sound are always great. Authentic, vintage, cool place. The owner is a top notch sound engineer. We like to dance and they have a decent size dance floor that is super to dance on...the live bands always bring it and we like to help by making fools of ourselves on a regular basis. Fun stuff. Yeah I know, I dated myself by using the term "super" but who cares

I absolutely love this establishment. Newton has been needing something just like this for a long time. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is as friendly as can be, the beer selection is fantastic, and the prices are incredible. If you haven't tried this place yet you definitely need to add it to your list!

My family & I grew up in hickory area but recently relocated to Florida. Majority of our family are here & we are expecting our second child. I’m in a local Facebook group and asked for recommendations for locations to hold a baby shower & Novel Taproom came HIGHLY recommended. And I see why! Their customer service was top notch!! They made us feel so special! Owners were great with communication both in person and online for us coming from 11 hours away! Definitely will recommend them for future events for family and friends!! Thank You so much for a wonderful experience!

Wow! What a great venue — right here in Newton! Because I’m not a beer drinker, I hadn’t found my way in here before tonight, but when I found out that there was a Bunco night, I saw this as a great opportunity to meet other ladies in my new hometown. And guess what? They don’t just have beer. The peach cider was delicious — like pie in a glass. Wine was also available. I loved the atmosphere exposed brick, well lit. I will definitely be back and will bring my husband along as well. Novel Taproom is an asset to Newton and a nice place to spend time with friends or family.

Newton should be proud to have not only a wonderful venue in town for amazing craft brews, but also for live music.

Monday trivia is fun, also a great place to catch live music. Great beer selection on draft.

Love this place! Live music on Friday with a wide selection of different beers. Very rustic, an amazing find in Newton NC. Always got a food truck outside if you're hungry.

A taproom experience that would be right at-home in a market like Asheville or Charlotte has come to Newton. 30 rotating craft beers on taps, great service, rotating daily food trucks with cuisine from American to Venezuelan and even Mediterranean this small town taproom has a big town feel without the traffic and travel. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great beers, good people. This place brings me back to my southern roots but in an upscale way.

I rented out the room upstairs for a 21st and 50th birthday party. There is no food on site but you are allowed to bring food in. The loft upstairs will comfortably hold 50 to 60 people. There is also a patio access and cornhole boards outside.

This venue continues to impress with selection, atmosphere and especially customer service!
