Very delicious! Service was fast and friendly. Sushi rolls were on special and waitress made sure we got the best deal, much appreciated as we got all the rolls we were wanting to try! Tempura was very good as were the gyoza. Atmosphere was nice and would go for a date night sometime.

WOW. Sushishima never fails me-! I recently went for my birthday and gave me a banana cheesecake tempura pieces and a scoop of ice cream! They put a candle too-! ^^ we did the yakiniku grill and ordered the King meat combo which was perfect for us (3 people) but can be fine for 4 people as well. We order rolls like Tiger eye, salmon skin, and dynamite rolls. The butter sauce, onions, and peppers were amazing on the meats-! Will always come back for my birthday and more!

The waiter was very attentive and took a lot of care for my daughter’s birthday. We did the barbecue option and had a lot of fun. The staff was very kind and the food amazing quality. We are Asian we know.

Lovely restaurant, always wanted to try it... our waitress was SO GREAT, we asked so many questions and she explained things so thoroughly, can't wait to go back, we were also advised that they have special tables where you can cook your own meat and items......will definitely try that next time...... one of my friends doesnt like sushi so they got steak and scallops with veggies... we others got the sushi.......
Lunch time four of us ate and had leftovers for under $120.... plus tip.. which is good for all that we got,.... oh and I forgot to take a photo of their BEEF FRIED RICE...but OMG...... it was soooooooooo ridiculously delicious and their house salad was beautiful and the dressing so tasty sorry no pic..... only thing we didn't like is the floor is so sticky, i could hear my shoes going to and from the restroom to the table....... I suggest putting vinegar in the mop rinse water sometimes and that should help.... Oftentimes, a solution with too much cleaning solution in it will result in sticky floors.... doesnt always mean that they're unclean, if you experiance the sticky floor when you go., just an FYI..... but better than too slippery LOL.

Had my sister’s graduation dinner here for 15 people. It went great and smooth. They were helpful with anything we needed to prepare and the food was good. I loved the cocktails. They tasted fresh. The bar area looks nice. I’d go again for happy hour.

This is my number 1 choice for sushi in San Antonio. Not only do the offer an extensive menu of traditional Japanese dishes. The presentation of the food is always surprising and never the same. They also have a beer, wine sake and bourbon/whisky list.

Your new sushi spot!
Sushishima never fails to impress with presentation, flavor, and guest hospitality. We have tried a few things on the menu, and have not been disappointed. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and they make it easy to customize the sushi rolls! Anytime I’m here, I’m happy. Their mochi ice cream is a must try!

I recently moved to the neighborhood and found this gem. Great lunch specials. Hibachi Chicken and the best bento boxes for lunch. I recently dined for dinner and the food did not disappoint. My cocktail on the other hand on point. Pictures do not do justice. Delish💝

The server was great. They were slammed for a week day and food service was just a tad slow. He apologized but we are patient and tipped him well. The food was on point. I was so stuffed. The tuna was so fresh. The sauces were nice too. My favorite was the desert. I love the fried banana and match ice cream with chocolate drizzle. It was so yummy. The sushi was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try more options. The service industry has taken it hard because of covid. Please be kind to the people who serve you. We tipped 30%. Thank you for your wonderful service and food.

Great service and high quality foods. They have more choices of dishes and starters than other Japanese restaurants and most are unique. Each dish I ordered was fresh and delicious. Beside that, they also made all dishes looked beautiful. It's a hole in the wall restaurant and clean. Highly recommended!
They also have Japanese style BBQ and I'll try next time for sure.

This was just my 2nd time there. I will be back. Again. And again. 1st time was for lunch. Enjoy one of the mixed lunch boxes. Dinner was even better.... If that's possible. Tempora shrimp, vegetables and scallop. Amazing. Loads of food on the plate. Delicious food. And don't shy away from the steak and noodles either. This meat will melt in your mouth. Tender and wonderful. Dessert was a banana sliced length wise stuffed with cheesecake. Yes thats what I said. Then battered and fried. Ouch. Appetizers are just as incredible. Try the crab salad. Don't share it. AND beer and a full bar. Devon served us for lunch... Eddie for dinner... Both were on it. Friendly. From the greeting at the door... Everyone was there to make sure you were happy. And several more staff people walking around were just as attentive. We never went without. They cover each other beautifully. Wow. And I know we are going tomorrow again. No really... Its that good. I've been with different people both times. We are all raving!

Update... Still going there. Still loving it. Finally just had rolls to share and desserts. The tempura fried banana cheesecake will melt in your mouth. Had it with just vanilla ice cream didn't want to take too much away from the Cheesecake. The flavored ice cream, one green tea one mango. Couldn't decide which one we liked more. Started with the green tea and it was just delicate delicious melt in your mouth beautiful flavor. And then tried the mango which had a little bit more of a punch to it but still incredible.

Every time I have came here the food has been absolutely perfect. The oysters are one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. From the quality of the food, presentation and even the ambiance and music they play is absolutely amazing. Fave sushi restaurant in SA even better than Uniko.

Easily one of my best sushi experiences ever! The server was so on point and the staff was over the top friendly and very professional. Some amazing and creative dishes and some really nice japanese whiskey! Will definitely be coming back to enjoy this well run establishment.

What a great spot for dinner! Split a bottle of sake and enjoyed appetizers, sushi, dinner entrees, and dessert as well. Everything is priced appropriately and each dish was excellent. The teriyaki entrees here aren't covered in the typical sauce you normally get at other spots...it's even better at this place. Not overly salty and has wonderful flavor. To top it all off our waitress was very attentive and prompt with our order. Can't wait to come back for dinner again!

I don't remember the names of everything but everything we ordered was delicious! Went for my birthday. Drink was coconut, taro and rum, appetizer was wagyu stuffed mushrooms, we also had mushroom soup that was full of veggies (yum!), and a tasty roll (can't remember the name) that was recommended by our waiter.
The dessert was fried banana with green tea ice cream.
The bathrooms could've used some attention. Out of paper towels, sticky floor.. and Gen Z girls hogging the mirror for selfies/video influences. 🤣🤣

My favorite sushi place in San Antonio! Very fresh, flavorful sushi rolls, comfortable clean atmosphere, good service, and affordable prices. The Lotus roll was my favorite of the 3 we ordered. I can’t wait to come back!!

Large free parking lot, easy to find.

Wow, what an amazing restaurant! The atmosphere, the food, the staff, definitely one of the best sushi restaurant I’ve been to in a long, long time. You can tell their chef has put a lot of time into curating the dishes. Our family ordered a bunch of different cuts of sashimi and nigiri and rolls, every piece was fresh and tasted great. Yakiniku the best with Japanese and American wagyu. My server Willy, he very friendly and helpful..

I’d be remiss to not mention the dessert. Fried banana cheesecake and greentea crepe cake, both so so good! We will definitely be returning next time we’re in town.

Went with family and enjoyed everything we ordered. Definitely will come again and try more. Was highly surprised at the cocktails. We were expecting sugary drinks, but we were pleasantly surprised at how good our drinks were; light, refreshing and not super strong.

Girl approved for a date night! Its a really yummy spot! The customer service was pleasent and there was a bar so if you dont have a date you could probably meet someone here! Check them out sushi was delicious and ill be back to grill my own food. Keep in mind its hard to get full off sushi so let your date order like 2 or 3 rolls cuz you dont want them to be hungry. So plan for that financially. Menu posted below
