The Bookshop Under the Windmill

This is a really cool bookstore with a lot of different genres to choose from. They may not be open for long periods of time but you can easily browse the shelves and find several things worth picking up and the prices are more than reasonable. There is a large children's section and lots of comfortable places to sit and read both inside and out. They also have a really good collection of jigsaw puzzles at discount prices. The volunteer staff is always super friendly and will help you find something if you have a particular book in mind. If you've not been, it's definitely worth a visit.

I love this place! It's a place that sells used books. It's a book lover's little paradise. Even though it's a small place, you'll be sure to find some books to buy. The money made goes to fund buying new books for the library next door.
You'll find sales too. I visited this past Friday. They had Christmas books for $1.00.( Sales change constantly.)
I found a Beatles magazine, and I found 3 wonderful books that I just adore. They are from the Salesian Collection. They each have beautiful artwork, some with scripture. I'm enjoying these dearly.⚘

This a wonderful place! The ladies working were nice and helpful. Once we entered, they asked if we needed help, I said it was our first time, so they gave us a little tour. Clean and orderly, we will definitely be back.

What an adorable little shop! Great selection and very reasonably priced. Almost everything seemed to be around 2 dollars. Staff was very kind and friendly. As an added bonus, it's located right beside a scenic bridge and walking trail. The ambience in and around this bookshop is utterly enchanting!

This was the best bookstore we have ever been to! My children walked out with three bags full of books! Very, VERY affordable. The ladies working there were very friendly. They definitely earned 5 stars!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

One of the highlights of Boerne, Texas! Fantastic library-supporting store. Books, both hardback and softback, CDs, DVDs, and more. And they loved my dog, too! Check this place out!!

What a gem this place it! Everyone was so friendly and my daughter was thrilled to find a “Fancy Nancy” hardcover book to add to her collection and it was only $2! Great selection also!

Lots of great reads at a great price at this non-profit that supports the PHPL (the formal name given to the Boerne Library after it moved from the Joseph Dienger building). The volunteers are wonderful. Open weekly: Wed, Fri, & Sat from 10a-2p.

Nice bookstore that sells over stock donated books to the library, dvds, and CD books. Workers are volunteers. Nice city park setting.

This is the a great place to look for that special book or magazine at a great price. And the volunteers that run the store are very friendly and helpful. The money from the bookshop benefits the beauriful library.

Love going here to get some books on the cheap, very nice staff and would highly recommend if you want some books and you’re in the area.
