Instantly became my favorite Mexican restaurant 😋
Everything was very good! I'll definitely be back again and again!
Salsa was spicy just like I like it ! The salad 🥗 had jalapeños very different! The flour tortillas were 🔥and came with butter. The servers were even taken care of by having a cart for the food instead of a huge tray! I can go on and on!

Wow! Every server in the place was smiling and friendly. The wait time on food was reasonable. Our server was quick to acknowledge it was our 1st time to the restaurant and how she had never seen us before. She was very helpful in assisting my sister to ensure her plate was keto friendly. Highly recommended!

Great little hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant. Breakfast tacos were on point and the customer service was exceptional. Will definitely be stopping back in!

The service is very good, the staff is friendly. I ordered the beef crispy tacos 🌮. They were delicious plenty of filling. The rice was very tasty and the refried beans had great flavor. Update one of Mondays Lunch specials are cheese enchiladas with chili con carnie they are very delicious

Had a wonderful breakfast here. Whoever is making their tortillas now is on point!! They were soft and fluffy like welita/ grandma use to make. The refried beans were delicious. Everything else was good too but I really enjoyed the great tortillas.

Great food and adorable price. You can get lunch for 5.99-6.99 including big glass of ice tea. I tried Friday combo - beef fajita and cheese enchilada - it was really nice lunch. Place is clean and spacious. Customer service is excellent. Definitely would recommend for lunch.

Melendez Mexican Restaurant has great food. The food has great taste and the staff is awesome. The menu has much to choose from, and they also have daily specials.

First visit with extended family who highly recommended Melendez Mexican Restaurant off Walzem Road, Windcrest TX.
We each enjoyed our choices from the lunch specials. Home-made flour tortillas!! Corn tortillas also available. Will try them next time!!
Note: To pay bill, if server does not return with ticket, then just go to cashier at counter. She had our tickets.
PS: They serve Fideo!! An old family favorite!! Next time will order! (The lunch special tempted me more!!)

I'm not much of a restaurant reviewer but this time I will. I love this place and I've been coming here for years and the food is always delicious, the carne guisada, the beef and chicken fajita tacos and the empanadas! The breakfasts are also very tasty! and the attention of all the people who work there is incredible, always with a smile they make you feel at home! and the atmosphere and decoration make me feel like a little piece of Mexico. I definitely recommend it. reading other reviews I saw negative comments about the service which for me is a lie, they have always treated me very well, I recommend that you go and see for yourself.

We had supreme lunch special with flour tortillas OMG the best tortillas we ever had the rice n beans on point the food very fresh n steaming and service was great ..both brother n I less than 20 plus $7 tip..8 2023 came once again an same delicious food..great service an we left 10 tip..love the tortillas
