Las Guitarras is truly special. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, it feels like dining in an old hacienda. We walked to the restaurant from town and suggest walking on the restaurant side—it’s treacherous trying to cross the street near the restaurant. The staff is super friendly, and the Mexican food is very authentic. I loved my enchilada dish and look forward to returning to this quaint town soon.

Very authentic and great Mexican food with steaks and seafood options. I asked for my Salmon Med And it was cooked to perfection. My buddies steak was beautifully cooked and we split a enchilada plate. And that was great too !! Highly recommend !

We came for the Sunday brunch buffet on 4/7/24 - excellent assortment of foods to pick from.

My hubby loves made to order omletes - so he immediately went to that station on the right. While my sister & I started more on the left side by the sides, enchiladas, chicken fajitas & soups. IMO both the red & orange enchiladas were too salty (altho my husband thought they were fine) but the chicken soup & the ground beef hard shell tacos made up for it 😉. Oddly the waffles & pancakes are on the dessert table so I had 1 each on my dessert plate - they were very basic. The star of the desserts was definitely the hot & fabulous bread pudding 👌 - whenever they put a new tray out, it went fast!

Just passing thru we stopped here because of the Chile en Nogada on the menu which you rarely see on a menu. We drove 7 miles out of our way for this. It was AMAZING! HEAVENLY even 😀! The staff was friendly and service was great! Pinapple jalapeño margarita was delish and topped it off with sopapillas...almost ate them all before we took a pic...Yum!!

Went here for the first time to try their Sunday Brunch. Everything was great, the food, the service, the atmosphere. Brunch is $19.95 a person but today it was $21.95 because of the holiday. We weren't aware of that until we got the check. It would be nice if they included a non-alcoholic drink or a mimosa with the brunch.
Overall, it was a great place for brunch with alot of food choices!

I had a solo dining experience for the first time. The staff were more than friendly and attentive, which made it feel like I wasn't so alone. The staff went above and beyond to explain the menu and the restaurants best picks. Riccardo is the best server I have ever had. I told him what I liked (spicy margarita) and I ordered a drink that omitted the jalapeño, but he customized it to add it in. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Run don't walk to enjoy the live music on Saturday night and exceptional service.

Salvadorian cuisine and the house cilantro soup is great! Tex Mex dinner and fajita steak nachos were really good. We met the owner and he was so nice to us. He is the one that gave us the soup to enjoy with our meal. Adan was our sister and he was always by when we had a need or want while we were eating our lunch! Stop by and give them a try. You will be glad you took the time to enjoy their food and the atmosphere!

A must eat restaurant when you are in Boerne. First, they have a beating tree growing within the restaurant building, which is lovely and beautiful. We had the luck to visit for the first time on a Sunday for the brunch buffet. Every single thing I ate was absolutely delicious. You can taste the high quality of their ingredients. Overall amazing food, excellent atmosphere, and outstanding service. Must visit Boerne.

*Update* we had such a great first experience We had to come back and so glad we did! This place celebrates Valentines Day with beautiful setups and specials. They also celebrate Lent with TONS of no meat Friday items. This is a must go to place for great tasting food.

Was out visiting Boerne and decided to try out this place. So glad I did , this place was amazing! The food had such great flavor, everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The bathroom was very clean as well. The time I was there they had live music which was awesome to listen to.

I tried the chefs special "Blue Corn New Mexico" it was an explosion of flavors and definitely a recommendation to try. The chicken was very moist and flavorful and the rice was made traditional way with carrots n peas. The sauces made the entire plate very tasty. Speaking of sauces, the salsa they provide is homemade and taste great!

They provided a small complimentary Fideo that tasted really good , lots of flavor. Because of how much I've been enjoying all the flavors I wanted to try thier burros beans. So glad I did , the beans were so soft and the broth was so good I ate it all up.

Overall this is a must go to place for Mexican food and recommend everyone to try it out.

Stopped for lunch in Boerne while driving from San Antonio to Junction. The place looked interesting online, and we were very happy we came here! Comfortable and appealing decor and music made an initial positive impression, and the traditional Mexican dishes on the menu were numerous and varied. I had never heard of Chiles en Nogada, but the description was intriguing, and wow! It was amazing!! I highly recommend it. My husband enjoyed his Carne Guisada plate, too. Our server, Martin, was attentive and interesting to talk with and made our experience even more pleasant. We just wish we had been here for the live guitar music!

Las Guitarras mixes modern day with old world charm. We come here on Sundays when they are having the Buffet. delicious choices of breakfast and Mexican food lunch choices. They will make an omelette right before your very eyes that is to die for! Their desserts are homemade and have plenty of fruit to go along with those savory dessert dishes. The owner is so friendly and welcoming! Mike, the guitarist, is an absolute genius with the guitar. He plays a medley of Spanish and English favorites.THIS PLACE IS FABULOUS!!!
The owner has invited us to come back during the evenings when they have live music every day starting at 6 o’clock. Come for the food, come for the atmosphere, come for the great service, and come for the fabulous music!

We come to Boerne area once a year and ALWAYS make sure we eat at least one meal here during the week. The New Mexico Green chili sauce is worth the drive from DFW. We had rolled and stacked chicken enchiladas. Don’t miss the sopapillas either. They melt in your melt. Can’t say enough about the food, service, atmosphere… it’s all great above great actually.

Live music that accentuates the atmosphere and doesn't overpower conversation.

The food is phenomenal and tasty drinks with a great variety of both. We had great service with a party of 8. We did have a reservation and was seated early.

The food and drinks 🍸 came out so fast. We could have been in and out of there in under an hour even though it was about 90% full. The portions were perfect for me. Not overabundance of food and our plates were licked clean (okay, I'm exaggerating). Still, dinner was satisfying.

If you like Mexican, you will enjoy the service, food, and make your own margaritas!

Tried something different for Christmas dinner this year and went to Las Guitarras. It was amazing. Have always had great food and service, but this visit far exceeded expectations. Chris took great care of us and made us feel like family. The owner caught up with us on the way out the door and apologized for not meeting with us while eating, but every table was full. As always, he asked about our experience and gave a hug and thanked us for our business. Even as busy as it was, everything was terrific. We had queso, skirt steak fajitas, a picodillio chimichanga, a combo plate, and a lime and prickly pear swirl margarita. Everything was amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Boerne. They will treat you like family!

Our new favorite place in Boerne! Amazing food, fantastic service, and a nice atmosphere. Our server was fantastic, ready to offer suggestions, and very well versed with the menu. Live music began around 6PM, and really added to the experience. Great location off of South Main, just south of Veteran's Park. Owner, or manager even stopped by for a friendly chat and to check on our experience. Recommend unconditionally!

This was such a spectacular experience. The owner is so kind and thoughtful and checked in with everybody. Our server, Alyssa worked very hard to bring us our amazing food. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of what we ordered but it was so delicious we forgot. The atmosphere is phenomenal and on Tuesday. They have a beautiful live guitar music

So happy to have found this restaurant. The food is very good. There is a strong New Mexican influence blue corn tortillas and all. The service was so good. The food came out fast and hot. The atmosphere was so nice highlighted by the musician not loud or intrusive just calm. The owner was very attentive to all his customers. He would come by to make sure everything was fine. I will be back!

I wish I could give this more stars! We have two kids under 7 years old and they loved the food! My six year old said, “this is the best food ever!” My kids loved the chicken noodle soup that was served before the meal. We are traveling through Boerne to visit family and enjoyed this stop!

The chile en nogada was worth the trip to Boerne by itself. Life is better with walnut sauce! We shared it for ‘dessert.” The chile en nogada is also served as an appetizer and pairs well with the pineapple jalapeño cocktail.

Great food, great people and certainly fair prices. Fernando (owner) and his family run Las Guitarras and make everyone feel at home - every time we visit. From small groups to 20+ table settings, we've never waited very long (but would), the service is spot on and the food is delicious. Brunch on Sundays is always a great spread and a good choice for even a picky eater. My wife and I had Valentines dinner there and were very impressed with an elevated dinner selection and some of the best live guitar music. Highly recommended, from Tex-Mex to superb interior Mexican food, you should plan on eating here.
