Alfano's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant

A rare 5 star. The service is amazing, but more so is the food. An unexpected gem in the middle of nomansland, Oregon Illinois. Now... for a quick drive out, this hidden gem is in the heart of downtown Oregon, right on Highway 2. Set off on its own, I never would have come but my kid has been here before. The prices haven't been hit by the current economy. Portions are fresh and huge. Be prepared for leftovers unless you are a big eater. The servers are friendly and really attentive. The food fresh, delicious, and prepared to perfection. Seriously I'm a bit stunned and grateful for this find. Oh, and the Chianti... smooth. Again a shock.

I am from Peoria, Illinois and am visiting Oregon, Illinois. This is my first time at Alfano's and it was excellent. My server was also the owner's daughter and was literally serving every table in the restaurant. In spite of this I still had NO WAIT to be served or to receive my food and the place was packed, even on a Thursday night.( apparently locals know this is a great place to eat) My server/owner's daughter greeted many people coming in by name. Not only was service and food great, but the prices were very reasonable. The only reason my price was in the 20 to 30 range was because I had a couple of glasses of wine, otherwise would have been 10 to 20 range. I highly recommend Alfano's and will definitely be returning the next time I'm in town.

Cute little old fashion restaurant. The Cod dinner was fabulous! My friends had the pizza and said it was really good as well. The restaurant itself could use some sprucing up but the food was great and the server was so friendly. She definitely went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. 😁 I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food is always delicious 😋 I just love the crispy chicken Milano, yummy 😋 husband always gets his favorite lasagna, never a disappointment! Tyvm 😊

The pizza is way to high in standard, presentation and preparation. The pasta, well, delicious. And affordable..!!

Had dinner with a friend I thought he had been seated so I just went to table. 15 minutes pass and I get up and ask waiter if we could have menus and he very rudely said you have to wait to be seated then gave me two menus. I didn't even see the sign when I came in it's dark in the area where you come in and the sign is also dark and hard to read.I had my son's and daughter in law's wedding party and we had excellent service but we also had one of the owners for a waitress.

We have had the pleasure of dining at numerous Italian restaurants worldwide, including locations in Italy, Mexico, Ukraine, NYC, Chicago, LA, and beyond. However, the one we discovered in the charming small town of Oregon, IL has quickly risen to the top of our favorite list! The food here is exceptionally delicious, and the service is truly world-class. We would like to extend a special thank you to our server Sally, who went above and beyond to make us feel valued and ensured we had a delightful meal for the following day as well. This restaurant is so remarkable that it's worth the two-hour drive from Chicago just to savor a superb dinner! Without a doubt, it deserves a stellar rating of 5+ stars!

Absolutely ❤their Pizza & Pasta dishes! The Pizza is cooked just right & appetizers are delicious & are a decent portion. Restaurant is always Clean & Staff is very attentive.

The food here was amazing. I got a chicken alfredo with mushrooms. The waitress was nice and the atmosphere is good.

Very nice very clean for atmosphere the waitress was very sweet the food was delicious! As a child I would go there and eat with my parents it's probably been 20 years since I've ate there! Driving by in the area from back old memories and I stopped got a pizza delicious 🤤🤤🤤🤤!

The Susie's Special Pasta Dish with grilled chicken is the best pasta dish I've ever eaten, from any restaurant. Brilliant in its simplicity. The combination of tomatoes, garlic, and Italian seasoning in olive oil on a generous portion of linguine just plain knocks it out of the park. I know the pizza gets a lot of the (deserved) praise at Alfano's but if you're a pasta fan, you will not be sorry if you order this dish!

My first visit for lunch with my cousins from the area great food and wonderful staff, didn't realize they had actually opened just for us!

Favorite of ours. Great pasta dishes with a great family style special Italian salad available. Bread is served warm with butter. Prices are fair with attentive service. Give them a try you won't be sorry!

The family surprised me with a drive to Oregon, from Rockford, to eat dinner for Father's Day. This place is great. Food is always good. Stuffed pizza, my favorite, Chicken Parmigiano, Chicken Alfredo and even the beer nuggets are amazing. Never disappointed when I go there. Suzie, Tony, Joey, Sal and everyone else I missed, thank you for always doing a great job.

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner for 25 people, and they could not have been more accommodating. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. Don't miss Alfano's.

The food was delicious and the portions were very large for the price. Our server Shawn (or Sean?) was the best we've had in the 10 years that my wife and I have been dining together. He was friendly, attentive, and just right on time with everything. It was a great experience and we will definitely be returning as we have found a new favorite Italian restaraunt. Alfanos is an amazing family owned restaurant in our community. Pizza is great bu I also enjoy other menu items. My last visit I ordered stuffed shells and loved every bite. The sauce is great. I would also recommend Susie's Special Pasta.
