Very welcoming atmosphere. Our host, Eric, provided great detail and insights into how wines were characterized and adds other pairing information to the discussion. They have made chocolates that pair with certain wines including a Reisling matched to a milk chocolate with orange and cranberry. Fun experience. Sitting under a 100 year old moose was interesting since we don't see them in VA. Location has outdoor seating if the weather accommodates. Coffees, mustards, crackers, and jams are also available. This tasting room also has a chocolate room with various offers from chocolates. Worth a stop on your travels around Bar Harbors venues if you. An spare the time and want a wine tasting. Even the blueberry-apple hard cider was one of the best I have tasted.

Friendly welcome, they were available to help me find good wines. I was able to taste wine and chocolate and it was excellent. Very good service on site. I bought 2 bottles of wine and my favorite is Blueberry Wine! Great winery in Bar Harbor!

Tried both the Malbec and the blueberry wine - thoroughly enjoyed both. Also the outside is dog friendly which was great on our recent trip.

My family & I did a wine tasting at the end of July here and while it's unconventional to have a winery that has to buy all their juice, they do a great job and the wine is tasty. My dad especially had a blast with the guy running the tasting (sorry I forgot your name!) and the staff made the experience fun and a stand-out memory on our vacation. The pizza and food at Sweet Pea next door was great too!

Our impromptu stop here was one of the highlights of our trip! The atmosphere was beautiful. But the wine and staff are what really makes this place special. We enjoyed wines that would not be our typical choices. And were pleasantly surprised by a chocolate pairing with our wine tasting! Eric was absolutely phenomenal, and created many of the chocolates sold there. He was so kind, thoughtful, and such a beautiful soul. He made that day one we won’t forget. Highly recommend.

Great experience and highly recommended! Eric and Mary were great - very knowledgable about the wine and just super friendly in general to chat with. The wine tasting is priced well and the wines taste great. Some favorites to try are: Riesling and Chardonnay for whites and Sangiovese for red. The Reserve Blueberry is good too. The outdoor tasting atmosphere is very peaceful and enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our time here! Eric was super knowledgeable and friendly — he told us lots about the wines we were tasting! We loved sitting outside and enjoying the September sun. Highly recommend for a day-time activity! 🍷

A huge thank you to the team at Bar Harbor Cellars as they let us come in for a tasting right after the 4:30 last seating and then talked to us for a good 20 extra minutes after closing. Paul and his team did an amazing job of making us feel welcome and telling us about Sweet Pea’s legacy on the farm.

We did a tasting and very reasonable to pick 5 wines. Being the very end of their season, we hope to come back to try more of their wines someday. Our rockstars were the blueberry (extremely well balanced and not too sweet!), the Sangiovese, and the cranberry! We also bought a chocolate bar that had a sweat pea design on top - the dark chocolate, coffee, and blueberry in combination was outstanding.

We did not venture into the cafe or other areas of the grounds but it all looked very nice!

The Blueberry wines (normal and port style) are out of this world - great balance between sweet and tart, especially when paired with chocolate. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a convenient location for those visiting Acadia make this a high quality stop for fruit wine adventurers.

Sweet Pea Cafe is a lovely farm raised cafe In quiet side of Bar Harbor away from the crowds. The menu is short but boasts flavors of the sea and the farm to an unbelievable extent. The food is delicious.

My wife and I consider Bar Harbor Cellers our favorite winery. Blue berry wine (have to try the reserve version if you haven't already) is delicious. Eric made the wine tasting experience even better and helped us pair chocolates with our samples. He was definitely one of the highlights of our visit and the service has yet to be topped elsewhere. The winery is really chill and the scenery outside is great. Looking forward to going again.

We had a wonderful time at Bar Harbor Cellars. Our host Kyle was spectacular! He explained the wine making process and gave us some history of the winery. He also gave many great recommendations for the surrounding area. Highly recommend

Great place and good wine! The wine tastings are 6/$6 and the selection is nice with some specialty types like Blueberry and apple. The individuals providing the wine tastings were very informative and personable - a very nice experience on our vacation. The winery itself also has souvenirs and chocolate!! If you have some time, I would definitely make the effort to stop in!

Stopped in on my way to Bar Harbor-so glad I did. Delicious wine selections, knowledge staff. Enjoyed a nice afternoon.

Anna was great and knowledgeable. We bought 3 bottles and other items to complement the wines as well as a few glasses.

Stopped in two weeks ago in search of blueberry wine for my mother in law, knowing it was nearing their posted closing time. As we walked in the signage stated that the final tasting for the day had already started, and my heart sank expecting a rushed buy your bottle and get out experience. We received anything but! Eric is a great ambassador of not only Bar Harbor Cellars but the entire wine industry. Not only a great ambassador of the entire Acadia region travel industry, but also of family vacation travel in general. He got to know us and made sure we were informed of our purchase, but also made sure we knew how to make the bottle we would take home a memorable experience when consumed. He made my entire family feel like VIPs as he gave us a taste of the wine we arrived inquiring about and gave us multiple drink and dessert recipes and fruit paring suggestions to compliment our bottle. We were not rushed, but instead treated to incredible hospitality that made you feel like you left vacation with a new friend. As he securely wrapped our purchased bottles for air travel, he continued our experience by giving a great recommendation for ice cream along our route. Don't hesitate to stop and make sure to ask for Eric. I can only image how great a full tasting would have been under his thoughtful guidance. Acadia was a breathtaking bucket list vacation for us, but unexpectedly, a simple quick stop for a bottle from Bar Harbor Cellars easily became one of the highlights of our entire trip.

Eric was the best host and most special individual ever. He made a memorable experience for us and our two girls and puppy. We frequent many wineries in VA and wine club members in VA and this was the best personal experience ever. Wine was good and if you are looking for a nice afternoon experience, this place doesn't disappoint. Great chocolate room too.

Absolutely amazing experience! Went for Megs bachelorette weekend in Bar Harbor. The service was excellent, the wine was amazing and the experience was unforgettable. Can’t wait to visit again.
