I am a nurse and I choose Dr Carver and his staff because I know quality healthcare when I see it. They treat my pets like they would their own. I was going through a lot when I had to take my dog in to have tumor removed from her leg, there were some complications like there can be with surgeries, and she ended up having to have her leg amputated. At the same time my son is going through testicular cancer. I had to leave my dog with them while I went to be with my son for his surgery and I had no worries leaving my baby there with them. They took great care of her. Yes, sometimes there is a wait in their office, but it’s because they are giving that quality care to all the animals that come in. I would highly recommend this vet and his staff, especially Kim, but they are all good!!

Dr. Carver and Kim had taken very good care of our boy Bruty. He had swallowed the leather wrapping of a baseball. Dr. Carver and his amazing staff had taken him into surgery. Finally back home today. Our appreciation for saving our boys life, and the integrity of such an amazing hospital, are beyond words. Thank you very much! We appreciate the long hours that you and the staff put in throughout the day and night for all the animals that you take care.

Dr. Carver and Staff are amazing. Once again they took such great care of our Red English Bulldog. Thank you for everything in getting him back to us!

There is no other vet that we would take our (2) English Bulldogs and French Bulldog to.

Our 16 year old poodle dislocated his hip back in Sept and we found Dr Carver online after a bad experience at an emergency vet. His assistant Kim was so kind on the phone and had us bring our baby in immediately. Dr C did the surgery and they kept our dog for several days. It was affordable and fair. He has done great and since then he’s turned 17 and had heart failure-Dr C met us at his office on a Sunday evening and again saved our baby! I can’t say enough great things about this veterinary office and Dr Carver and Kim. They are caring, knowledgeable and affordable! I highly recommend humane medical and surgical hospital in Plano.

Dr. Carter saved my dog’s life twice. Every time I was taking the dog there, I was sure he was not going to make it. Dr. Carter fights for his patients and wins.
Yes, he talks a lot, but he is trying to explain why he does this and that and May be that place is not shiny and new, but people who work there really cares and doctors do what they need to do. And this is my big thank you to them.

I’ve been using the clinic for my fur babies for a long time. This is the real deal. Dr Carver is the best veterinarian that will sit down and take time with you. He does not over charge you for unnecessary procedures and meds. He loves what he does. Kim at the front desk is best! She’s dedicated to her establishment. Can’t get any better!

I cannot say enough great things about the staff and operations of the Humane Animal Medical and Surgical Hospital (Humane). They can handle any type of case, including emergencies. Our cat, Freddie, has a horrible autoimmune and they have helped us navigate through this process and provided exceptional care, and charged us reasonable prices. Before I came here, I thought I may have to put him down because we could not afford his treatments, did not think he would survive the surgery and his overall health was horrible and he was down to 7 pounds. Leaving a second vet clinic appointment with horrible news, I literally called the Humane clinic while I was sitting in the second vet’s parking lot. The poor cat was starving and probably would not have survived the surgery (surgery one quote $3000 and another $4100) that was suggested by the other two vets. So far, Humane has helped us navigate his issues with medication, kept Freddie healthy, and he is still a skinny boy, but he is active and playing with the other cats now.

Humane Animal Hospital took great care of Koda. While in their care for 4 days, Koda received extra lovin’ and attention. We got daily updates on his healing which made us feel less anxious about leaving him for so long. The staff were wonderful and very personable. They even gave me a teacher discount. 🥳 I highly recommend this hospital for all animal needs.

Dr. Carver & Kim are simply the best & his entire staff is phenomenal. The staff is always friendly as well as kind & accommodating to their patients’ needs. I’ve been a client of Humane Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital for a decade now, I have recommended them to everyone I know, including family. Despite moving 45 miles Northeast of the clinic in December 2019, having a vet’s office a mile from my home as well as countless other options on my way to Plano, I still drive my fur babies into them because I trust them implicitly.
Whether for a standard vet visit or on occasion where they need to be monitored & treated overnight, I know they will be well taken care of, treated with kindness & respect and if I need to leave my fur babies with them, they will be in a clean, safe environment & I will receive regular updates.
I have country dogs so they get skittish with all the noise in Plano, so when needed the staff always lets me walk them to the back, love on them & to say bye to them. Both my girls have anxiety so they let us in & leave through the side door then give the girls some time to relax before coming into the room; they do the same for my son’s dog who is terrified of any vet’s office now due to being severely mistreated & traumatized by an animal shelter after jumping out of his Jeep. I’ve even witnessed them immediately assisting people who come in with an injured animal that they rescued on two different occasions.
In the decade I’ve been a client, Dr. Carver, Kim & the staff have: 1) saved my cat, Nala, from a life threatening bobcat attack; 2) helped us solve a urinary issue with my mom’s cat, Cassie, as well as prevent recurring issues to improve her health & avoid surgery; 3) saved my dog, Sasha, from life threatening GI bleeding by putting her in an oxygen chamber & providing her with continuous extraordinary care (son left sausage out while I was at work); 4) prevented potential blindness for my dog, Bella, from continuous eye infections from her eyelashes rubbing against her eyes, 5) helped care for my son’s dog through her pregnancy and took care of her pups, 6) saved my pup, Turbo, from a clot that cut off blood flow causing necrosis to the side of his face & as of Friday 7) saved my pup, Ruger, from an abscess with an extremely aggressive “hot” infection (ballooned in less than 48 hours) with the non-surgical option. He’s doing remarkably well, I was honestly freaked out Friday morning but when I picked him up early Saturday afternoon I was amazed & completely relieved! His abscess was about the size of an egg, instead of balloon around his throat, and with the medicines and home treatment they taught me it has already shrunk noticeably.
As for all of the other fur babies, they are all healthy & thriving. I highly recommend Humane Animal Surgical & Medical Hospital for all of your fur babies & other extended members of the family.

I had never heard of Dr. Carver or this clinic but a 3 weeks ago I rescued a bulldog off the side of the road after he was hit and left for dead. Dr Carver and staff have been wonderful with Bruce! He has had 2 surgeries so far and I get pics and video updates! I’m most grateful for them all!!!

My friend boarded his two dogs here for two weeks, and I visited them several times. The people here were always very helpful and always accommodated my visits. They never tried to rush me. They really seemed to enjoy working with all the animals, and they took very good care of them. I am very happy with them.

Took one of my dogs in to have her teeth cleaned. Everyone was extremely helpful. They went out of their way to NOT try and upcharge with unnecessary tests/services. Pricing was really reasonable too. The Doctor spent 15 minutes chatting with me when I picked her up. As long as they are in business I'm going to them from now on with both my dogs.

Dr. Carver and staff are truly amazing. We have had 3 cats as patients there, several operations and procedures throughout the years. Each and every time it has been A+ service with wonderful staff who are knowledgeable about my cats and their needs and treatment. Thank you so much!

Dr Carver and Kim are the most caring and expert vet people. I grew up on a farm and we had great country vets. As an adult and mother, we have had lots of animals and since we move often for work, we have used a lot of vet practices. In 28 years we have never had another vet that compares to Dr carver. He spends so much time with our cats when we come in. He is very concerned about their welfare and immediately responsive in emergencies. I have texted Kim at ungodly hours and she responds instantly and has urged me to come into the office after hours on more than one occasion no matter how inconvenient to themselves just to make sure all is well with my cats. I am so grateful that Dr Carver is close to our house, but even if I had to drive 45 minutes, he is the only vet for my fur babies. ❤

We LOVE Dr V and everyone there at Humane Animal Hospital!! We rescue dogs in need and have taken them dogs who have been hit by cars, dogs with old injuries, whatever they need, Dr V always takes exceptionally wonderful care of them. Everyone at Humane Animal Hospital is passionate about helping animals and it shows! We won’t go any where else when our dogs needs surgery, to put them back together again. Check them out, your dog or cat will thank u!!

Dr Carver is a kind, caring and tough Doctor. He is very knowledgeable and a talented surgeon. He saved my rescue dog’s leg (Maverick) from amputation. Maverick a young black German Shepherd was injured living in the forest. I helped with trying to get him rescued along with another lady who actually trapped him. He was taken to a shelter and treated for his injuries. He had a two fractures around his ankle joint. The Vet that the shelter used recommended amputation as did other Vet’s we let review the X-rays. Luckily I called Dr Carver. He said in his opinion it was doable after reviewing the X-rays. I had set up a gofundme to pay for the surgery. He discounted the surgery so I could cover the cost. Against a lot of odds the surgery was successful. He used large screws to stabilize the fractures.
We are 6 months out from the surgery and Maverick can now use that leg to walk, run and play. Maverick, myself and many people who have helped Maverick are very grateful to Dr Carver for his compassion and his ability to perform this complicated surgery!
By the way Maverick has found a permanent home with me , my wife and our two Shih Tzu’s.

The doctors and staff here are amazing. My puppy was cut during a grooming process and needed stitches. They took great care of him last minute and provided us with everything we needed. The prices are also very reasonable. Will come back for check ups etc. they are great. !

I cannot say enough good things about this vet office and the staff. Both doctors are so skilled especially with bulldogs. They take care of both of my frenchies. When we first came to them they saved my oldest from pancreatitis and an unnecessary surgery her old vet was pushing for. They now have saved her again when she suddenly developed an autoimmune type of anemia. The staff are all so caring. I use them to board both my girls when I travel. We love this clinic. Both my girls are at home tonight together because of them.

This office is phenomenal. Dr. Carver did surgery on my puppy's legs. It was extensive and scary. Dr. Carver and his staff reassured me throughout the process. Sammy(my puppy) had to stay after his surgery for a week or two. They have always accommodated me to be able to visit him even after hours. I was able to text for updates and questions at any time. Even if it was late at night, Dr. Carver will always call and tell me what to do. Most dogs hate the vet, but Sammy LOVES Dr. Carver, Kim, and all the people who cared for him. Sometimes the wait at the office can be long, but keep in mind that their service is impeccable. You may get frustrated, but it's just like an ER. Many of the patients are going through life changing events. Surgery is never easy, and it is hard to rush anything because there are so many unforseen circumstances. Sammy did have some complications, and I had to rush him in. They were there, ready and put us as priority. You can't go wrong with the care this office provides.

My Boston Terrier had patellar luxation in her back leg. It got bad pretty fast! I checked with other places and their wait time was quite long. I was told that this isn’t a emergency surgery so they would set it out for 1+ months, and that would be after the initial visit which was booked out 3 to 4 weeks. I researched other options and found Humane Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital. I called and was able to get an appointment in 2 weeks on a Saturday, which was big for me as my job has been quite busy! After visiting with Dr. V and getting a tour of all the medical equipment they have invested in I was very comfortable with setting an appointment for the surgery. They were also very knowledgeable about Boston Terriers, which made me quite more comfortable. I was scheduled 2 weeks out. I dropped off Nova on Thursday morning and picked her up on Saturday morning. They surgical site looked pretty bad, but this is the first time one of my dogs needed surgery, so I didn’t know what to expect. I gave her the medicine I was provided per the directions given when picking her up. By Tuesday she was using her leg a little, but by Saturday she was looking great! The following Saturday when getting her staples out she was doing absolutely amazing! The scar is there but it isn’t bad at all! I would highly recommended these guys for any pet needs! The staff is very nice and professional. I will say you may need to be patient, they were quite busy, so my appointments did take a little longer than expected, but hey it seems like all my appointments are taking longer than expected now days! I hope I don’t have any other big medical issues, but if so, there is no other place I’d rather go!
