Buenos Aires Cafe Galleria

This was just a very lucky find. I was at the Galleria, wondering what to have for lunch and there was a parking spot available in front of this restaurant. I took that as a sign and went in and was very impressed.
The place is small and cozy with great service, lighting and music. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu as it all sounded wonderful. The things that I tried were absolutely delicious and the sangria spot on.
It has that local hangout feeling and I look forward to trying everything on the menu eventually 😉

Atmosphere and staff is great. We walked in for a late dinner and we were welcomed and relaxed throughout our meal. We had the cheese plate - right portion for 2. I think better crackers would of complimented the great cheeses on the board. Gnocchi melted in your mouth delicious and it was so light, the sauce was fresh and tasty. Some bread to soak it up would of been a nice option to have. Perfect empanadas! The dulce de leite cheesecake was good. I will definitely return for the filet and fries with chimichurri sauce!

The owners and the staff are absolutely amazing and the food delicious . I love the drinks too, specially Expresso Martini with the new vegan vodka “Goodnight Loving “

Located in the beautiful Bee Cave area, LOVED the Milanese (beef cutlets). They were cooked perfectly and the chimichurri is absolutely delicious. I came in on a slow lunch day and our waitress was new to the job but was very knowledgeable (we asked quite a few questions) and ingratiating. Pair any meat dish with a glass of wine and you are looking at an amazing meal.

First time trying Argentine cuisine- these guys knocked it out of the park! We were there celebrating a birthday, couldn’t have picked a better place in Austin. Impressed by the homely and cozy atmosphere. Food drinks and dessert are just delicious! Definitely try empanadas and desserts on display. Wish I had taken photos of food. Going back for sure!

Had dinner there last night for my wife's birthday. Asked the owner Silvia to bake a cake for the occasion (she does all the desserts for the restaurant). It was delicious. There were eight of us and we enjoyed the food, wine, and service. Thanks again Silvia for the wonderful experience!

Had a wonderful Memorial Day happy hour. Great food, drinks, dessert and good service. The Argentinian style tapas, “shepherd’s pie” and quatro leches were incredible. Highly recommend trying this restaurant!

Excellent everything hormone-free chicken was underseasoned, but still was good 👍. The provolone appetizer with Gluten-free crackers was quite good but either that or the chicken dish had an extremely small amount of gluten. If anyone has severe allergy, don't come here (probably a cross-contamination or that one bite of Shepherd's pie? LOL)

Again- great place to go, just be careful with the gluten (gave it a 5 star rating for a reason!)

We’ve been going to Buenos Aires at the galleria for years and they have always had great Argentinian food. Their empanadas are the best. It is a must. My favorite is the spicy beef empanada. We also tried their provoletta, melted cheese appetizer for the first time tonight and loved it. They have happy hour till 6. There are some good deals if you get there early enough. Cocktails half price and discounted menu items. French 75, mojito, margarita, etc. I usually have their Milanese which is fabulous. My husband tried their burger which is new to their menu. He loved it. They also excel at desserts. You literally cannot go wrong. I had the spiced chocolate brûlée this time. It was fabulous.
Their staff have always been super nice and helpful. They have a cute patio to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Highly recommend.

What a great find! We started with both souve & tuna Empanadas; beautifully browned pie dough wonderfully complimented by flavorful filling accompanied by Chimichurri sauce. They were light, not too filling. (Someone needs to start delivering these!) Rob had the Argentinean Shepherd's Pie (pictured), which was a lot tastier than the English version. The Pork Tenderloin (pictured) i ordered was topped with Chimichurri & drizzled with sour cream. Served atop Yukon mashed potatoes with a haricots verts side, I savored every bite!

For dessert, Dark Chocolate Crusted Cheesecake (pictured). Amazing! Size was perfect to share. With their coffee (very European), what an ending to a fantastic meal.

Loved empanadas and milanesa plate (breaded steak). The ambiance was excellent and the service was right on. Only thing, baby changing station is in the men's room 🤦‍♀🤣 either way will be coming back for sure with inlaws.

The empenadas are superb! Tres Leche is tops as well as the flan. Great patio atmosphere, too!!

Must try the chimichurri sandwich and chocolate flan. Sooooo good! Great food + atmosphere. Bonus points for being dog friendly and great customer service

Sunday night--this is the night to show up in person. The side patio outside is beautiful. The bldg. has slices of limestone, wood windows, voncrete, murals...honestly--the side of the bldg. is a work of art with sense--tasteful....not whacked. Empanadas were on point, the mojitos, fabulous, the malbec suggested was nice, and my milenesa was fabulous. Honestly, I've been eyeing this patio for 10 years...but it's always packed and I'm dumb for planning in advance...we got in today. The service was outstanding--not just our dedicated person, but the young man turning 21 today was always coming with water and took care of our pup (a 9-mo-Aussie). We've been to the Milonga Room below the East location...but I just love the outdoor vibe here.

Every time I come I m greeted by the owners who are super nice and caring .
Very few eateries in the area remain local boutique restaurants with such food quality , always supervised by the owners ; such places should get all our support ! I cannot comprehend any negative review that pops among hundreds of good reviews specially if it’s related to a waitress or care taker ... these people are not slaves ! I was very concerned about the latest review and I am presently finishing my succulent coconut Alfagor (made in house) and neat Glenfidich here :) ... oooo... the filet was fantastic too (yummm)
I have to say that the staff is still confused by that bad review that doesn’t explain any technical issues ... The only issue I see in this place is the music /sound engineering which apparently appeared due to COVID restrictions forcing them to remove any sound absorbing materials ...

Food is consistently delicious. My favorites are the proveleta appetizer and some empanadas as my dinner. My husband loves their chimichurri sauce and their sangria. You won't be disappointed!

Authentic empanadas and milanesa napolitana. Great flavor and quality of products. Also very friendly service.
I recommend to buy the chimichurri to add it to your grilled beef!

This is a hidden gem of the area. Everything from the home made pasta to empenadas to their filet mignon is amazing.
