Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Freddy's does it right! I'll highlight 3 key areas for myself. #1 the food is made right and is super tasty. Burgers, dogs, chicken, etc. The fries are crispy and delicious. #2 the Freddy's fry sauce is second to none. I buy the bottle and use it at home. #3 The frozen custard desserts are killer. This Reese's dessert is second to none. Give it a try. You won't be unhappy

It was my first time there. I enjoyed my meal and the Turtle Sunday for dessert. Very friendly staff and the restaurant was very clean and well stocked. Employees were all busy and not standing around. I will be back.

Burgers are a tough market, there's so much competition here in champaign. I think what makes this location stand out, is the clean environment and the incredibly friendly staff. I've taken a few family members here and they've loved it.

I had a wonderful experience here! Food was great and customer service was phenomenal. I stopped visiting here in 2021 after a terrible experience in but the new management seems to serve their customers very well. The manager Ieisha and the crew members were friendly. Check out their fry sauce too!

I was in Champaign for a work conference and had never been here. I was a craving a smash burger and Freddy’s did not disappoint. The customer service at 9PM-ish was fast and friendly. Love that they expect you to want the sauce and have many of them near the drink station to self serve. The sauce was delicious! Also the beef tasted fresh and well prepared as far as fast food standard go. I’ll be back!

Decided to try Freddy's today and it was awesome. Fresh cooked to order steakburgers, shoestring fries, and cheese curds for lunch. Everything came out good and hot. For dessert I got me a large hot fudge and butterscotch sundae.... large is really large... be ready! The girlfriend got a concrete mixer, (blizzard lol) which was also very good. Definitely a good place to eat.

I was greeted by Tavia. She was very polite and helpful while taking my order. My son and I had burgers, cheese curds, onion rings and ice cream. The food was great! The ice cream was built just like the pictures. Burgers were well seasoned and built just as good.

The food is always delicious! The service is great! The staff is always very friendly.

I'm editing my review. 4 years later, 2/5/24. The last couple times I've been here, the staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean. Staff is doing a great job and props to the manager running a tight ship.

My family stopped in and they weren't busy at all. We walked out without ordering. The tables were all dirty. Everything in there appears to be greasy. The Champaign location has been this way for several months. Its ashame because it used to be a nice place to eat.

Good food, friendly staff, store had good music playing and someone cleaning in the lobby constantly. I applied for a job was so impressed

Great food, super super friendly and very accommodating!!!!! I was walking my doggo while waiting for my car repairs to be completed. I phoned them to place an order and explained I couldn't come inside to pick up my order due to having my dog with me. They offered to bring it out to their patio for me!!! Can't say it enough.... Super super friendly!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! THANK YOU!!!! 😊

We've often seen Freddy's but never thought to eat there. Searching for a tasty veggie burger on Google, and lo and behold - Freddy's popped up. The veggie black bean burger was really good, a tad dry, but aren't all black bean burgers? I would have preferred a touch of mayo over the sauce that was on it. Hubs really enjoyed the bacon and cheese double steak burger. Both burgers were a good size. The shoestring fries were the best fast food fries we've had in a long time and the cheese curds were really tasty and lightly coated, which was a welcome relief to other, heavily coated ones. Neither of us liked the "fry sauce" which came on the side, but that's just us.

Updated to 5 stars because, well, the bean burger though a tad dry was better than any other fast food veggie burger I've have in a long, long time.

Fantastic service and excellent burgers, fries, and onion rings. No room left for frozen custard. We’ll be back and save room for that next time. Very friendly and attentive staff. Immediate “Hello” as we stepped in the door. Quick order, speedy arrival time for food. We were asked by numerous employees how everything was. The place is packed with happy customers too.

We tried Freddy's for the 1st time after getting a gift certificate for the holidays. As a family of 6 with allergies, this restaurant is moderately priced but worth it! We tried several different things from the menu and everything was extremely well made! If you like burgers, fries, and milkshakes; this is a place you must try!

Amazing food, perfectly kind and attentive and capable staff, clean place, fast service, did i mention how much i love this place? The manager (at least i think he was) was incredibly kind as well. Very helpful with our coupon. I can't think of a single thing that wasn't magnificent about our visit! Definitely dropping by again! <3
