They always have the best and most decadent flavors of cookies. On this visit, I got the peanut butter and Rolo cookie. It was absolutely delicious!!They also have homemade dog treats which my girls absolutely love. I made sure that I stocked up on them!!

This is my favorite bakery in the area, their pastries are so soft and the flavor is outstanding. The staff always friendly and do their very best to be efficient and very helpful. The place is very clean and covid aware. The parking is easy to get to at the side of the building. They do have a drive up window. The whole restaurant is handicap accessible from the doors to the restrooms and everything in between.

First experience here. Warm atmosphere as you walk in the door. We purchased a donut and a couple of muffins to go. Very friendly staff and delicious treats.

I shouldn't have shared their products with my co-workers. Now every time someone has a birthday or anniversary, it's Tuesday, whatever the occasion I'm asked to stop by for the maple bacon long johns. At my last job, it was the monster cookies. I had to order 11 dozen of them to bring to work one day. Eleven dozen monster cookies are heavy!!!

I am in between bites of a sandwich from this bakery right now. The Foundation sandwich is AMAZING! The several experiences I have had dining at this location have been top notch. They have a good atmosphere, plenty of legroom, polite and attentive staff, solid fast wifi, and high standards of cleanliness in both Front of House AND Back of House. Prices are reasonable, which in this economy is getting increasingly difficult to find. The company has a great mission as well!

Stopped here 5 minutes before they closed, but the gals behind the counter happily helped us with our cookie choices and drinks.

Finally got a chance to visit, and I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner!!! Food, people, and atmosphere was amazing!!!

EDIT: Updating my review back to the 5 stars I originally gave them several years ago. The Executive Director and I engaged in a productive and professional exchange after this review was posted and it appears it was a perfect storm of circumstances that resulted in our issues. He is currently working on procedures to ensure it does not happen to any future customers.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Four years ago I gave the bakery 5 stars and I've had several good experiences there since then. That is until this past weekend. Without going into all the detail (it would take too long) - the bakery needs to set up an order number system of some sort or use pagers or something because they are ill equipped to handle a large group of people efficiently and in proper order. In our case, we ordered bakery items which were plentiful when we ordered them. We then went to sit down and wait for our food/drinks. But because the workers were overwhelmed by the rush that came after us (and because it appeared no one observes the "please be seated after ordering" signs) they ended up serving numerous other customers after us, essentially skipping our order. We watched several of these customers walk in, order, receive their items and leave all before we received anything. This would not have been a problem had the workers pulled our bakery items when we ordered them but they did not do that, never setting our paid bakery items aside. Instead, they ended up giving away the items we had ordered to patrons who placed orders well after we did, leaving us to choose from a picked over pastry display case of undesired substitutions once we finally got our food approximately 20 minutes later.

The food is good, the pastries are great, and the service (up until this weekend) has typically been just fine. However, this weekend made clear that there needs to be a better system in place to handle the rush.

My wife, Vic-torie and I were house shopping in Oregon this afternoon. We couldn't help but be drawn immediately to this perfect, small town, corner baker locale. Amazing ascetic and ambience. This place welcomes you to an immediate flood of savory and sweet smells. The Village Bakery boasts an open and modern ceiling with an old cottage like, living room feel with a fireplace (electric but I close my eyes and imagine a pot belly stove in its place). My wife, never sat down. Just wandering around, taking pictures. I will have to come back just so she can enjoy the place.

My friend and I were absolutely blown away by the indoor atmosphere of this location. We were trying to find a nice place to grab breakfast and stumbled onto a place with delicious quality and service. Glad to have another reason to visit Oregon again.

Friendly people. The Breakfast Biscuit is fabulous. We bought Orange Cranberry muffins, oatmeal, and chocolate chunk cookies. Absolutely delicious!!

All the workers are friendly, donuts are fresh, coffee is hot, great place to go for a meeting, after church or just to hang out.

The Everything Bagel is my current favorite: Everything bagel with egg, bacon cheese, & garlic aioli. The price is a little high, but if you want to try it, go for it! You won't be disappointed!

Great atmosphere, wide selection & friendly service. The coffee was good, especially with the maple bacon long john. Mom had a chocolate chip scone & my daughter brought home a custard filled donut. Yummy!!!

This is such a wholesome place to come too. I always feel so loved when I come through. You may have to wait a little bit but YOU WILL NEVER BE DISSAOINTED!!! These people work the hardest and make the best food possible! EVERY BITE IS WORTH EVERY DIME! I enjoy the people who make our food too. Just an amazing place to have in this town. They deserve an award and so much more!

Great bakery and sandwich shop in downtown Oregon, IL. Smells great when you walk in the door. Bright and open interior. Baked goods are delicious. Pics of sandwiches look good but did not have one this trip. A bit out of the way but worth the trip.

Great sandwiches and soups.
I brought home a raspberry muffin for breakfast the next morning. Best I've ever had.
We live about 85 miles away. We were visiting relatives.
If we lived closer, we'd be a regular customer

Veggie Sandwich was even better than my wife's sandwich with meat. Bread, delicious.
Baked goods and cookies were very good also.
