St. George Lutheran Church - ELCA

I've been attending St. George for about four years and have found the people of St. George to be real, friendly and welcoming. The historic church is adorable near downtown Brighton. My daughter was confirmed there and loved every minute of confirmation and her youth group! I've become more involved in the church which is great - it's definitely a church that encourages new ideas and welcomes newcomers into leadership roles.

I love Pastor Sharon and her leadership. I've grown spiritually since attending St. George, mainly because of her. The praise band at the 11:00 contemporary service is uplifting and I find myself humming their songs all day after the service!

An old-world church with a traditional 9a service and contemporary 11a service. Super friendly people and you have to love the feel of an old church. Coffee and treats are available for a donation. There's a youth program and Sunday school. The basement is huge and renovated with a state of the art commercial kitchen.

I love this church! As an out-of-state visitor who attends several times a year with my Brighton family, I always look forward to attending the church services. Every time I attend, the parishioners and pastor are so welcoming and Friendly. During Pastor Sharon’s sermons, she does a wonderful job of sharing meaningful scripture lessons, and relating bible stories of the past to life today. I also like how everyone in church is invited to receive Communion, no matter what your denomination. The praise music during the contemporary service is very uplifting. When church service is over, everyone is invited to stay for a time of fellowship with refreshments and time for visiting one another. Thank you St. George Lutheran Church for being my church home away from home!

We have been attending St. George for the past two years and feel very fortunate at finding such a welcoming church home. Members welcomed us right from the very first time and made us feel at home in the church community. Pastor Sharon is wonderful, inspired, and ministers to us in many ways in addition to a moving experience every Sunday. If you’re looking for a welcoming, vibrant, God inspired church, this is it!

I Love St. George Lutheran Church and have been attending for over 15 years. It is a small town church with a big heart. I love to attend the 11 am service because the music is loud and I enjoy singing the praise songs with the kids.

Early traditional service provides an uplifting message for the week and late contemporary service is a music based service that will raise the spirit. Pick the service that works for you. They are both great.
