Weathervane Seafood Restaurant

Stopped by last Wednesday night for the advertised Fish n Chips 15.99 special I saw on the outside sign. I couldn’t have been more delighted! Large piece of fresh, moist haddock. French Fries fried perfectly, and coleslaw was tasty and not drenched in dressing. Server was attentive, friendly. Overall, exceeded my expectations. Ate everything!

Disappointed in my $28 lobster roll, tasted as though it was made with frozen meat! Fried plate combo was also ordered and that was served hot and tasty. Restaurant was clean and waitress was personable.

Cool place. Went for a few drinks and seafood. Supper was great. Bar was very busy and a little slow getting drink orders, but once he slowed down and realized we were there to have a good time, received better attention. First time having a lobster. Funny experience. Will go back if in area again.

The Saturday to start February vacation, 2pm. Seated in under 10mins, served politely.

Haddock Melt was 10/10. Hot, crispy outside, moist and flaky inside. Honestly this was probably the nicest tasting and best cooked piece of fish in 14 years of living in the USA.
Fries were simple but options to season were available.
Coleslaw was tasty.
Broiled Salmon was good, but my wife stole more of my haddock once she had some, preferring it to the salmon..

It’s got a bit of a tourist trap vibe, but past that, the food was hot and good. And the service decent.

Price is up compared to other restaurants, but not bad for seafood and tourist area. I don’t know what it did to deserve a sub 3 average, but today’s visit was a chill 5 (would prefer to be giving 4.5 but that’s not an option).

The lobster was delicious, got a 1lb lobster with broccoli, and the upgrade to roasted garlic mashed potatoes, which were excellent. Also ordered the clam strips, they were very good with lots of big chunks. Over all the seafood was excellent.

Ariel was our waitress very attentive and not overbearing. Food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Steamers were very tender and not the least bit chewy.

I love the Captain Morgan statue in the entry. Not a hard liquor drinker, simply love the statue. Great stop to get some (New England)good food before starting to shop and head back towards south.

Our server was nice and food was served prompt and hot. All orders were good.

Ariel was amazing. Very personable, great customer service.
Steamers and Admiral platter was cooked to perfection.

Always delicious seafood. I had the baked fish and it was excellent and a big portion size with baked potato and broccoli. My wife had scallops, which she loved with garlic mashed potato and Cole slaw. Service was friendly, prompt and very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Loved being here again. Was here over 10 years ago and my memory was justified on how good it was. We were here just a little after they opened so not too many other guest. Our host was excellent and food was excellent.

Wonderful food. The full-belly fried clams were fresh and local😋. The blueberry cobbler was delicious 😋.

The maple salmon was solid. The potato were good, fish cooked perfect, small broccoli side.

For the price, that's a well cooked, large salmon portion!

I will say, the men's room is... Odd.

We drove 5 hours to this place just to eat Maine lobster in Maine and we were not disappointed! Everything about Weathervane was perfect, food was great and our server was amazing. There was a slight moment of confusion when he brought out the strawberry short cake as I have never been to New England before. Just because it was on a bisquet does not mean that it did not taste gross. We give this place a big thumbs up and we're very happy with our visit.

Fantastic local seafood eatery. The Weathervane was highly recommended and we weren't disappointed. Great service and our large group was no problem for our waitress. Had the two for one Lobster and it was delicious and perfectly cooked. Loaded garlic mashed potatoes was the best I've ever had. Local Maine blueberry cobbler was yummy. Try the fried mushrooms and onion rings.

First time visiting a Weathervane restaurant! We had the LazyMan lobster and a burger both fantastic! Employee #1804,Ariel was awesome! Thank you!

Staff was friendly and quick to come to the takeout window, food was served in a respectful time frame and above all else was sooo freeking tasty. (I had to make a return trip less than a week later)

Weathervane was excellent! Friendly and attentive staff and good food. I had a lobster roll that was as just as good, if not better, than lobster rolls I've had at much pricier places. It has a definite nautical theme and somewhat dim lighting, which gives it a cool atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Honest review from a well traveled tourist:
The lobster is why you are coming here. The lobster is great. I believe we have tried lobster every way they serve it, and all was great. Lobster pie is very unique.
Place is clean, plenty of options at the bar.
Portions on everything outside of lobster is huge.
Worth the try for sure, just ensure ya got the money to pay for it.

First time having a Maine Lobster and I must say Weathervane does not disappoint. Price was so affordable I literally bought 2. Waitress was very polite, courteous and with other customer satisfaction, they were surprisingly very good with wait times to be seated and served. Definitely gonna be back and I'm from Maryland.

We had an incredible seafood dinner here. Calamari to start, with fried clams & lobster rolls to follow.
