Fosters Clambakes and Catering

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding reception at Fosters this fall and WOW, what a great venue! Everything runs so smoothly (event coordinator Devon is such a pro). The vibe is fun and unique, definitely not the typical coastal Maine seafood place. The food was fantastic. I can't praise it enough. This is DEFINITELY where you want to have your wedding.

We held our rehearsal/welcome dinner at Foster's the night before our wedding at Stage Neck Inn. We were in the York Room for our event, and we had a really incredible night! We were so busy having fun and enjoying dinner and drinks that we forgot to take photos of how beautiful the room looked!

The team at Foster's and the event manager helping out with our dinner were so wonderful to work with. They were very flexible, letting us come in earlier in the day to set up some decor on the tables, a welcome sign, etc. The food was SO good - all of our guests raved about their meals. The staff helped us set up the music we wanted to play and a tv for a photo slideshow. All of the staff were kind and did a great job making sure our guests had everything they needed. We would highly recommend hosting an event at Foster's!!

Ryan and I had our wedding reception at Fosters this past weekend. We cannot say enough kind words about this place! Garrison and her staff were simply amazing. The food was outstanding, the bar service and service in general were wonderful. They made sure the bride and groom were taken care of the whole time. Even the planning process was easy and stress-free; Garrison was so helpful, responsive and just wonderful to work. Our guests could not stop talking about the food (especially the chowder!!) or the venue. Thank you for giving us our dream wedding reception! Foster’s exceeded everything we could have wanted.

My husband and I had both our ceremony and wedding reception at Foster's this past weekend. We loved everything about this venue! The grounds, pavilion and food were all outstanding and captured the true New England experience we wanted. Garrison was amazing to work with and was incredibly helpful during the entire planning process. Her and the staff decorated the room beautifully and made our wedding day so special. We highly recommend booking events with them!

My husband and I had our wedding here this past weekend. It was the best experience I could have asked for. Beth coordinated everything for us so perfectly. She allowed nothing to go wrong and was on top of every detail. She was thorough and so amazing to work with. From ensuring all the guests had arrived prior to starting the wedding, to us missing a boutineer for my father so she made one, to my sisters dress becoming loose so she sewed it! When I was over heating she did everything in her power to get me back to feeling better as did the staff. This venue became a part of our extended family through out this entire process and I can’t thank them enough. Plus the food was amazing and the ceremony location outside is just breath taking! I had so much fun and I can only thank them for executing everything in such a perfect manner. We loved you guys and I truly hope to be back each year for our anniversary if not just to stop in and say hello! Thank you again 😁❤

We had our rehearsal dinner here last weekend and it was delicious! The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. We LOVED the clam chowder and lobster rolls. It was the perfect rehearsal dinner for a Maine wedding! Thank you Foster’s!

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner at Foster’s and we can’t speak highly enough about the entire experience. Michelle was fantastic from start to finish in terms of coordinating all of our needs and ensuring a stress free process. Everything could not have run more smoothly on the day of the event and the food was absolutely delicious. Appetizers were constantly refilled, the bar was always open, and the clambake menu was a huge hit for our guests. Our entire party had an amazing time and we highly, highly recommend Foster’s for any future event!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Fosters in October 2020 and had a phenomenal experience. We originally started wedding planning in February of 2020 (pre Covid) and we fell in love with the venue and our wedding coordinator Beth! Once Covid started Beth was reassuring, honest and extremely helpful. She answered all my questions and helped ease all of our concerns. Although our day wasn’t what we originally planned, we are so thankful for Fosters and for everything they did to make our day one we will never forget. Every detail was accounted for and we are so pleased. Our guests loved the venue and the food! I am celiac and they ensured everything that could be gluten free, was gluten free! If was so yummy! Foster's catered both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception last weekend, and we can't say enough great things about their food and their staff! Beth Wilson was our contact with them, and she truly went above and beyond to make sure our wedding weekend was a smooth success. The peace of mind she gave us throughout the planning process was both unexpected and appreciated.

The best lobster roll I've ever had, hands down. It was tossed in butter and something sweet. Served with homemade salt and vinegar chips that were delish. Also had steamers which were amazing. Got a side of cornbread, also good. We are inside and the tables are very far apart. You order and pay for your food first then it is brought to your table. Cute inside with white lights hanging from ceiling. Cool seeing the fresh, live lobsters in the front.

How do they serve all that great food to so many people so quickly I'll never know. Great place for a bus-load of lobster loving people, too. We'll definitely be back! Thank you.

There is not enough space in this review to explain just how AMAZING Fosters and its staff are. We got married here on 10/30/20 and it was absolutely perfect thanks to Garrison and Beth!

Back in August we had to change our original wedding plans of getting married in PR, because we did not want our guests getting on a plane due to COVID. I called multiple venues in York and the surrounding area to see what our backup options were. I originally spoke with Beth and she could not have been nicer or more helpful! She answered all of my questions and put a hold on our date before we even came to visit. From the start they were just so friendly, easygoing, and accommodating.
Once we saw the venue we knew immediately that it was perfect for us. Its cozy, charming, clean, and so spacious! Both inside and outside.
We mainly worked with Garrison throughout the planning process and she was INCREDIBLE! I genuinely never felt stressed even with all of the unknowns going on in the world because I knew that she would find a way to make our day perfect! and she did!
Flash forward to the day before our wedding. We were supposed to have our ceremony at the beach up the road but snow was on the forecast. Garrison and Beth didn't miss a beat!!! They gave us a ton of options and were so easy going and flexible. We wound up doing our ceremony in the York Room and it was beautiful.
Our wedding day went seamlessly! We helped decorate the room the day before which was amazing. When we showed up everything looked perfect and they had a fire going inside and outside. Beth and Garrison made sure our ceremony went smoothly and that us and our guests had everything we needed throughout the night.
THE FOOD. OMG. Our guests are still RAVING about how delicious the grilled lobster bake was! and the crab cakes! and the homemade onion dip! and the blueberry crumb cake!!! Everyone said that I wouldn't eat at my wedding but they were SO wrong! I had everything and can personally vouch for how delicious it was.
Thank you Garrison and Beth for making our day so perfect!!!! I don't know why anyone would get married anywhere else!

The folks at Fosters are the best! We held a Celebration of Life for my mom this past weekend and I'm so glad we chose to have it here. Everyone was so kind, and patient, and understanding. And the food was delicious! Thank you so much for making a tough day one I'll remember with love and gratitude.

The best place to eat lobster,went there on a trip from the Senior center Holden Ma,we had a great time,a good service and staff was excellent. Thank you for the service.

Amazing take out for a clambake. Everything was well prepared, cooked to perfection, packed perfectly. I can't recommend this enough. They did such a good job every guest wanted to know where it was from to use them in the future.

Had our Annual charity event here last weekend and Beth and her staff again outdid themselves!! What a great time. The food was fabulous as usual, appetizers were setup on a table near the fireplace and lookedand tasted wonderful, the venue looked amazing with twinkling lights hanging from the ceiling, sound system was great and everyone had a wonderful time!!

Beth and the crew hosted my daughter's wedding on 09/18/21. We had the clam bake with optional BBQ chicken. Our guests all gave great reviews, and said their food was delicious, my chowder, lobster, clams, and mussels were cooked perfectly. The steamers were very clean, not gritty at all. The corn and potatoes looked good, but as Beth brought me few extra steamers, I was full and did not try the sides. Beth was very flexible to work with and very helpful with wedding suggestions. The staff was well organized, attentive to our needs, and gave us exceptional service. Would highly recommend Foster's for a wedding or other event.

If you are looking for a caterer who can offer a classic Maine clambake as well as execute a highend wedding dinnerservice - Fosters is it. Their staff, service, planning, and cuisine are incredible impressive and will wow your guests. They are accomodating and go above and beyond from start to finish.
