Brighton Dentist - Dr. Walter Goodell

I'm a pretty nervous person when it comes to the dentist. I always feel safe and very well cared for at Dr. Goodell's office. Last week, they squeezed me in for a dental emergency and coordinated my emergency care for the same day: totally and completely above and beyond. As always, the dental work was top notch. I can't say enough about the compassionate staff as well. I highly recommend this dental practice.

It’s hard to explain too someone who has never experienced the fear of going to the dentist, what that fear is really like. My brother and I had bad teeth from a young age, financially our parents were limited to the extent of dental care they could afford. The dentist suggested to call the Dental School in Ann Arbor and they could do the work for a lesser charge. We spent many years having work done there, this is where my fear of dentist really started. Nothing against the training Dentist’s there!! I Just had some “very rough appointments” while going there. Moving on from those memories, I was lucky enough to hear about Dr Goodell many years ago and so thankful I did. He is so gentle, kind and is so patient with anyone who’s had fears in the past. Felt very satisfied with the experience at Doctor Goodell’s office. The staff were extremely kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Each procedure was explained prior to being performed, there was no discomfort involved for the entire near two hour appointment. I highly recommend this doctor and his staff. Months ago, they came in on a Sunday morning with very little advanced notice to mitigate my issue that caused excruciating pain. I am forever grateful for their services.

Dr. Goodell and his staff have overseen our dental care for over 15 years. Everyone is professional, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and very respectful of our time. From regular cleanings to cavities to crown replacements, they have always done excellent work. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Goodell and staff are AWESOME! They make you feel comfortable, welcomed and important. Dr. Goodell is meticulous and pays great attention to detail. The receptionist is the sweetest, the woman who cleans my teeth is amazing and Dr.Goodell's wife is very kind. I honestly can't say enough good things about this Team. Dr. Goodell, along with each member of his staff, are absolutely amazing. The staff is very professional, personable, happy and smiley, and they really care about their patients overall well-being. My first visit back to see them in years was a tough one. It was tough due to the amount of dental work that I had to get done, but the staff made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Dr. Goodell is so good at what he does, that I didn’t have any discomfort during any of my cavity filling appointments or permanent crown appointment. One of the dental hygienists personally remembered our conversation after my initial visit back, and she asked me how my little dog was doing. They offer exceptional and caring services at Dr. Goodell’s office. I just can’t say enough good things about them.

Dr. Goodell's entire staff is caring and patient. They are truly a wonder practice and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else again. It's no longer a feeling of dread when I have to go in for a cleaning, they really are the best. Thank you for having such a wonderful group of staff

Dr Goodell is a wonderful dentist and his staff is caring and compassionate. I always feel like I am in good hands and receiving top-notch care. I highly recommend Dr Goodell. It is difficult to find a dentist who does excellent work, is honest, and charges a fair price. You will get all three of these things and Dr Goodell.

I have always been very satisfied with Dr. Goodell and his staff. They are very professional, prompt, and caring. They always spend the time needed to do the job right and answer all of my questions and concerns. I completely trust their abilities and have never had a negative experience with them.

Love this office! My husband and I have had great care since we moved to Brighton and Dr. Goodell 5 years ago. Our toddlers have also just started to go for their check ups and the staff could not have been better with them. Highly recommend this office for adults and children.

Dr. Goodell has been my dentist for my entire life. No matter where I have lived over the years, I have always come “back home” to Brighton for my dentistry. The kindness and knowledge of the entire staff is second-to-none. From booking the appointment with the receptionist, to being worked on by the hygienists and assistants, to talking to Doc himself, I have always been well cared for during my appointments. The office staff has been beyond helpful with my insurance needs and billing questions as well.

Staff is always helpful, polite and considerate from the front desk staff to the back. Dr. Goodell is very knowledgeable and always made me feel comfortable about my dental care.

Best Dental office ever. I hadn't been to a dentist for over ten years. And had horrible dental Anxiety. Dr Goodell and Julie, Sam and Sharon are professional and genuine. They got me past my anxiety. I take my whole family to Dr Goodell and his staff. I have never been happier with a dentist.

This is the first review I've ever written, and for starters, let me say that I was terrified of going back to the dentist after a decade. I finally went after plenty of pressure from my family, and was very pleasantly surprised to find how Dr Goodell and his staff are warm, caring, soothing, and very concerned with the comfort level of the patient. For me personally, they reassured me every step of the way and lo and behold, I had nothing to worry about.

Even with the mildly invasive procedure I needed to have done, they went above and beyond in every way imaginable to make sure that, not only was I comfortable throughout, but I would even say it was a pleasant experience. The procedure went off without a hitch by the good Doctor, and during the downtime the rest of the staff too amazing care of me.

Even though I am moving from the area, I will be making the trip all the way to Brighton for all future dental appointments. Thank you to everyone on the staff, so much, for helping me get over those fears and doing an amazing job.

The dental team is very experienced and takes great care to make you comfortable. The hygienists are efficient and gentle. The dentist answers all my questions and is very knowledgeable. When I had a dental emergency they got me in the same day and fixed me right up.

Great Dentist! 10 years ago a friend of mine recommended Dr. Goodell and I'm so glad he did. I live in White Lake and though the drive is 45 min. it is well worth it. You will not find a better Dentist or a more caring staff. Also, the new hygienist Sumaiya, is exceptional!

Gotta just like them. Courteous, efficient, smiling and above all they do a great job. Always making sure you received the best service available. Been a patient for almost 40 years. And why complain about someone who carry’s sharp objects! 😎👍

I have been coming to Dr for 5 years and my teeth have felt the healthiest they ever have .And the stuff is very professional and treats you like family. I always leave there happy and positive. I am glad every time I go. I appreciate all of them

I am EXTREMLY picky of dentist, due to a bad experience and a lot of time and money wasted. I had not been to a dentists in about 10 years since the last. I am try to get my teeth back in shape. I walked into many dentist offices before I food Goodell's office. The other office were off setting, and seemly uncaring and unknowledgeable of their own office procedures, and prices, unclean and cluttered. Just walking into other offices was enough to turn me around and head to the next. I called first, not to waste anymore time, then walking into Goodell's, I felt welcomed. The office is simple and clean, everywhere. The staff was embracing and comforting. The receipts Sharon, very pleasant to be greeted by, knew everything, or how to figure it out very fast. Sam and Walter, we very clear and experienced on procedures. I have had two filling, root cannel, and a wisdom removed in less then 6 months. all procedure were perfect. I am still terrified of dentist but I know these guys are experts to say the least, and that's why I will be their patient for many years to come.

Dr. Goodell has terrific Health & Safety protocols in place. And Julie (the "new" Dental Hygienist) along with all the staff, has wonderful People and Customer Service skills.
