UP Cafe & UP Coffee Roasters

It’s a 4 degree Fahrenheit day in Minnesota and there is no better way to spend the morning than visiting a coffee shop. I stumbled upon Up Cafe. What a treat! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Background music adds to the great vibe here. This is one of the easier-to-get-to coffee shops in Minneapolis as it is near the hustle and bustle of the city but situated in a quiet neighborhood not far off the beaten path. They make a crave-worthy oat milk latte that I will come back for!

The Mariachi is one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. Chocolate, cinnamon, cayenne... perfection! I'll definitely come back!

Clean and inviting, restaurant and restroom. Only slight negative is the dead planters outside. But how great is a fire pit??

Super laid back vibe. Liked their dark drip a lot; loved their sausage bacon cheese quiche. Their bakery items are nicely kept warm. Spacious both in and outside, perfect for working or catching up with your friends. Recommended.

I will definitely need to come back - my cherry yogurt pastry was DELICIOUS!!! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My drink was made quickly, and I appreciated the choice of getting my drink to go, or to dine in. Ordered their seasonal strawberry shortcake latte - good balance of flavors. Enjoyed the outside patio, plenty of spots to sit even on a busy Sunday morning.

Gorgeous coffee shop with wonderful music. Has a solid vibe. Blooming with creativity. Is a great place to meet up with friends or to study.

A lifesaver on my way to an early event! I enjoyed their chai quite a bit. Great atmosphere, and I’m sad I only picked one pastry. I’ll be back to try more!

Loved the laid back atmosphere here! We tried the light roast drip coffee, horchata with a shot of espresso, and the lumberjack and all of it was delicious! High quality and crafted to perfection

Been here twice now. Excellent coffee drinks and baked goods! I've had their "Lumberjack" creation in hot form and their "Mocha Blender" (cold drink) that were both tasty. Their quiches are served warm and the egg layer is super light and fluffy.

Great coffee and pastry we ordered! Hot latte with soy milk and cream cheese butter croissant! Lots of students were studying there for finals!

Super cozy environment. We felt very welcomed. Delicious creamy latte and blueberry cream cheese croissant! Through the side door you can feel the coffee being roasted smell!!! Worth a visit!!

Adorable place, SUCH delicious drinks and a great selection. One of the best dirty chai’s I’ve ever gotten, especially cuz it was blended. Beautiful plants and cute decor. Perked up our day!

Always good to find a good roaster/shop combo and Up Cafe is one of those. Good coffee, groovy shop, nice merch, in a light industrial location. Tasty cappuccinos.

I really enjoyed this cafe. It's tucked back in a warehouse district, so you wouldn't think that many people know about it but that would be incorrect. I've heard from people that frequent there that they are usually pretty busy. The staff was great. We tried their house made granola bar, beet salad and caesar wrap. You could taste how fresh the ingredients were and I was amazed at how good the granola was! Some people come to work on homework or work, some families come, ladies getting together or dates. I don't know if I would work on homework here because I think it would be hard to concentrate, but the food and coffee is delicious! You have to try a baked good before you leave.

This is my go-to spot for networking and a good cup of coffee to start my day. Fun spot, indoor/outdoor seating, and enough variety to keep the food and drink options interesting. Funky, not too over-the-top with music volume, and easy access to highways to get back to the office.

I've been to a lot of coffee shops around the city, but UP is BY FAR my favorite spot to study and chill! Amazing coffee and pastries! Such a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

Not a ton of vegetarian options, but this sandwich and the bakery items were delicious. We got the black salted Carmel latte, an Arnold Palmer, a Maple pecan muffin, and a basil pesto egg sandwich. There's a lot of street parking. The staff is very nice and they even remade my coffee after I forgot to order it dairy free.

This place is magical and truly a hidden gem. The indoors has gorgeous lighting and greenery, and they have a really nice patio area too. Additionally, the warehouse/roaster area is really neat. The outlet store has a few selections; ask a barista for assistance and the possibilities are endless. They had all of my bucket-list coffee syrups that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else! Everyone there was super nice and helpful. I also got an iced latte and it was fantastic. Thank you so much!

Unique little coffee place tucked in an unusual spot, but thanks to Yelp, was able to find it! They roast Organic and Fair Trade coffee for a great price! What's not to love about that? I had the dark roast of the day and it was exceptional and came in a pottery mug with their name. We also tried the Sage Pesto egg breakfast sandwich that they make with homeade pesto and homeade biscuit or English muffin--delicious. And then we had a chocolate chip scone which tasted like a chocolate chip cookie, so again, how could you go wrong?! There was plenty of seating, free WiFi, friendly baristas, and good vibes. They also have their own little parking lot in front. The only problem we had is that it was really cold inside 😆 I know we are in MN, but I had to keep my coat on the whole time even while I was drinking a hot cup of coffee.

Consistently good quality beans with enough variety to find what you like. In the cafe they do have pour over, but options are limited. Still, when I’ve ordered pour over in beans I wouldn’t normally go for, the coffee is still great. Every time I’m in Minnesota I make sure to stop by. It’s just good coffee at a good price.

On of the best cafes I have been to so far. I liked everything that I have tried here. I would also recommend getting coffee bag from their store.
