Everyone here is so nice! I had a bad experience with a previous dentist and was very leery to try a new one. My daughter recommended this practice and I'm so very glad I took her advice. We both just love it here.

I brought the whole family in to kick things off with the Hamerink Dental Practice and they did not disappoint - Dr. John was attentive and came with multiple approaches / options to address the things we could consider changing / improving. The office staff were really friendly, the office is incredibly clean / modern on the inside and all of our hygienists were great. Catering to families makes this super easy for us and we look forward to being a part of this practice moving forward. We switched from a dentist up the street to this practice 35 mins away and it's absolutely worth it!

My family has had a wonderful experience with Hamerink Dental. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. Dr. John goes out of his way to explain in detail why he recommends a given course of treatment and his expertise is clear. My dental hygienist, Lucia, is very nice and does excellent work. The operations and support staff are great too. Lisa goes out of her way to make sure you understand how much you will be paying for treatment before receiving it. I have never had a surprise bill or felt that I was overpaying for treatment. The front desk staff are always very friendly. My family will definitely keep going here.

Has been my dentist office for 35 plus years & hope I never have to change. Dr. H. Hamerink since the very beginning, and in recent years, Dr. J. Hamerink more often. Both are super knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate & are excellent at explaining & doing what's necessary. It's a nice, small and cozy place for your dental needs. Anna has been my dental hygienist for many years and is great - friendly, knowledgeable, gentle & very thorough. Lisa, business manager (often sitting at the front desk to greet you) is nice & very knowledgeable with regards to coordinating your insurance benefits & determining your out of pocket costs. All the other staff that have at times been involved in my treatment are also terrific.

I went to Dr. Hamerink after a friend recommended him, and I am so pleased I did. Dr. Hamerink spent so much time with me---answering my questions, giving me valuable information, and he's the one who actually cleaned my teeth! I've never had that happen with a dentist, and I thought it was such a nice way of welcoming me to his office. I appreciated that he didn't rush through and that he seemed to genuinely care. The hygienist was super friendly, as well as everyone else I encountered there. I can confidently say I have found a great new dentist. :)

I have a child with special needs who really struggles at the dentist. I could not have had a better experience at Hamerink Dental. They were so patient with him, so kind, they took time to explain and help him feel more comfortable. By the end of the visit he willingly hopped up on the chair without even needing me to sit with him which has NEVER happened before. I'm so thankful for everyone there, it's a wonderful practice.

I, like many, don't like visiting the dentist. However, John Hamerink is a pleasant, professional and considerate. I always have questions. He always has answers. Much appreciated.

An excellent crew that outmatches all competition by a longshot. From the doctors, to the hygienists, to the front office staff, you won't find someone who is anything less than outstandingly professional and personable. The crew is noticeably more knowledgeable than the competition, and their equipment is state of the art. Also, alignment goals that other dentists told me weren't possible, Dr. Hamerink was able to achieve easily, quickly, and at a reasonable cost. My wife starting going here about 5 years ago and convinced me to make the switch as well. Then we had a baby and took him in for his first cleaning (and every cleaning since) and they are absolutely excellent with children (he actually looks forward to it)! Recently I also convinced my mom to make the switch - and she too is extremely happy, raves about the place, and has never looked back!

Spectacular dentist! I trust and really like Dr. John! I travel from out of state(as far as California!) to see Dr. John for my dentistry. He is the only one I can trust! He told me that a crown was improperly done by a different dentist and that it needed to be redone. He has cared for me throughout my military career. I am a HORRIBLE patient- very nervous, very neurotic and Dr. John is VERY patient with me. He is very kind and gentle. He takes into account my situation and emotional status when treating me. I am very fearful of the dentist and pain- he ensures that I am properly numbed before any treatments. I am so grateful to him and his office. He has some very gentle hygienists there as well! Lisa (she manages the front desk) is very kind and helps with any insurance issues as well as any juggling of appointments! She is spectacular about trying to squeeze you in so you can be seen! I had lost a filling and we originally thought my appointment wouldn't be until a month later but she called saying they had an opening and that I could be seen in a week! Just spectacular care! Thank God for all of them this is the ONLY PLACE I TRUST. Dr John is also respectful of my holistic views and not wanting to use fluoride, while he doesn't agree, he always comes to a compromise to respect and accomodate my views

I was going to a larger dental practice for several years and felt like a number, bouncing around from hygienist to hygienist. Two years ago, I decided to find a smaller, established dental practice and have been very pleased! My hygienist, Anna is fantastic! She is gentle in her approach, yet very thorough in making sure my teetch are clean. Dr. John is also a great dentist whom I been fortunate enough to only need an exam from. I highly recommend Hamerink Dental!

There are not enough words to acknowledge how wonderful Dr John and his staff are. I have followed Dr John since he was a dental student at University of Michigan approximately 10 years ago. He makes you feel comfortable as a patient and his attention to detail is immaculate. I always look forward to my appointment to see Dr John and Anna, my dental hygienist. She does a fabulous job at cleaning my teeth and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I am in the health field and would recommend Dr John to any of patients too.

I don’t think I could have chosen a better dental office to switch to as I recently moved to Plymouth from the Flint area. My entire experience starting from the receptionist and the dental assistant then to the hygienist and the dentist provided a smooth transition between professions and a comfortable, welcoming experience as a new patient. The receptionist was very helpful and provided ease when it came to billing. She was able to tell me exactly how much appointments and potential procedures would cost down to the penny without any difficulty or ambiguity. The dental assistant brought me back to the cubicle and made me feel comfortable as I hadn’t been to the office before. The hygienist was extremely thorough, gentle, and knowledgeable, and had taught me things that I hadn’t been taught at my other dental office. Finally, the dentist was extremely transparent with everything going on with my teeth and also taught me much more than I’d ever been taught at my other dental office. I’m certain I’ve found a dental office I can trust, that places the longevity of patients’ teeth at the pinnacle of their practice. Consider me a permanent, loyal patient!

Its clear to see that the staff really put their heart into their work and care about their patients. Hamerink dental gives off that southern hospitality kind of vibe. The entire staff is very personable and go out of their way to ensure you're comfortable and feel at home. They also take their time to listen, explain, and address any questions or concerns you may have. On top of all that, they all have excellent credentials in regards to dentistry. So it doesn't come to much surprise that Hamerink Dental is rated 5 stars on multiple platforms. Thanks for taking care of me today! See you guys again in April.
