Kate and Joanie are amazing!!!! They came to us for a small bridal party. We all looked so beautiful!! Some girls had pictures of what they wanted and Kate and Joanie delivered. I always enjoy my time with Kate and Christal at the Beauty Bar. Aside from always feeling and looking fantastic when I leave, the time spent there is even better. Kate is incredibly professional - fast and furious and truly cares about how my hair turns out as well as how much time I spend in the chair...which is much less than other salons. They value my time and theirs. Christal is kind and professional (and is a fab DJ) - she's always offering a drink or snack to make sure I am comfortable, which is so refreshing! The Beauty Bar (and Kate and Christal) is a solid 5 stars (I'd give more if I was allowed).

Fantastic experience. Joanie and her staff do a top notch job with their clients. We bought the hair and makeup package for my daughter that is getting married in October. They are rated high for a reason! Perfectly done makeup and the hair styling was gorgeous! Forget the others, and book with Beauty Bar!

Recently had my wedding hair trial with Kate and absolutely adored her!! She took the time to explain everything to me (and my mother) and was SO MUCH FUN to work with! My hair looked absolutely perfect, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together at my wedding. Couldn’t recommend her more!

I had both my wedding hair and make up, as well as my entire bridal parties hair and make up done by Beauty Bar & Boutique and it was by far the best experience I could have imagined. My hair normally never holds a curl and Joanie made sure that it would stay curled all night long. My make up was done by Sue and turned out amazing. It stayed on my face the entire night without any need of touching up. She made sure that it didn’t feel caked on and did an outstanding job. Joanie, Sue, and Christal filled the room with such positivity which helped make the day even more magical. Highly recommend to anyone looking for hair or make up services:

Kate and team are AMAZING! They are so good at what they do and made my entire wedding party look and feel so beautiful. We appreciated the energy they brought to our wedding morning - they hyped us up and kept everyone laughing and stress-free as we got ready. I did a trial before the wedding and they nailed the look I wanted immediately, but I have no doubt that if there was anything I wasn't happy with they would have worked with me until I was completely satisfied. They went above and beyond for my girls - one of the bridesmaids mentioned as she was getting her hair styled wedding morning that she thought it would look better if she had bangs. Kate whips out some scissors and gives her bangs to complete the look (and still stays totally on schedule). Would recommend working with this team to anyone!

I had this company do my bridal party hair and makeup in June 2023. The ladies that work there do an impeccable job. They spent so much time on my hectic crazy wedding day making sure I and my bridesmaids felt beautiful. They took their time, were very detail oriented, and were so kind and sweet. I highly recommend them and I’m so grateful for all their amazing work!

Thank you Kate and Joan! Amazing time having them provide hair and makeup at my daughter’s wedding in Traverse City! Not only did they travel 4 hours to get there, they were organized, efficient, and professional- they made the experience fun and relaxing for the moms, the bridesmaids, flower girl and of course the Bride! Kate and Joan treated each person lovingly making us all feel very special. We were all thrilled with their services and all of our hairstyles and makeup lasted throughout the day and into the wee hours of the night! Highly recommend this dynamic duo!

If you want to have the most fun wedding morning AND look absolutely stunning on your big day, then Beauty Bar and Boutique is the place for you! They had me and my girls laughing and smiling so much the morning of, and everyone left feeling like a million bucks. Both hair and makeup held up through the heat and lots of dancing so well. I seriously cannot recommend them enough.

First hands down there best place to go to for hair and makeup??? Sue the makeup artist is just sunokuky amazing, just give her a basic jist of what you want and she does above and beyond what you had envisioned! And Kate the hairstylist is exactly the same way just a lil more zazzy but in a good way😊 Oh and Crystal the receptionist is wonderful as well, she helped pump me up to make me feel more beautiful than I thought I was. Those ladies were and are simply the best. Awesome atmosphere and they make you feel at home I will 100% recommend Beauty Bar and Boutique to anybody I know!!!!!

IN LOVE with Beauty Bar and Boutique! All the gals are down to earth, kind, and funny as hell. I felt welcomed before I even put my foot in the door. Kate did an absolute stellar job on dying my hair. I changed my mind towards the end and the accommodations to get my mane exactly where I wanted left me so happy! The atmosphere is wonderful and the salon is beautiful. I went out to dinner after my appointment and immediately received a complement to which I couldn’t throw Kates card at the hosts head fast enough. I will be a forever client to Beauty Bar and Boutique! Thanks for making me feel special ladies, I’ll send anyone your way!

I cannot recommend Beauty Bar and Boutique enough! Kate and Joanie did hair and makeup for my team for headshots. They were professional, on-time, clean and just amazing. They made the day so much fun. They made each of my team members look so natural and just perfected their hair and makeup for the photographer. I would highly recommend them to anyone! The ladies at Beauty are nothing short of amazing! Not only did my hair turn out amazing, they told me and showed me what they were doing and why. I have worked with these ladies for years for fashion shows they will also be doing my hair and make up for my wedding day. I got to experience another side of it today in their new salon with color correction. I will absolutely be going back time and time again to these amazing ladies who really transformed my hair! I drive 45 minutes to go see these ladies and it’s absolutely worth the drive! HIGH QUALITY WORK from Kate!

These women deserve 1,00000 stars, hands down. I cannot begin to tell you how at home I feel when I go to beauty bar, from the second I walk in. They are gracious, honest, fun, and they are all stunning. The salon itself is so beautifully put together from top to bottom, and every little detail is coordinated. I have to single Kate out, because she is my personal wizard. She wouldn't let me leave without acquiring EXACTLY what I came in for, no matter how long it took. I've never been happier or more confident with the way i look after having been at a salon and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their talent, the things they do, and they way they do them.

I can’t say enough about this place!!!! I called Friday evening to book an appointment for a style and make-up application for a Saturday afternoon - I couldn’t believe it, I received a call back from Kate, that evening. Her personality just shined and immediately we clicked over the phone and confirmed my appointment for the next day. Saturday, I entered the “Beauty Bar & Boutique (and just like over the phone) I was greeted by both Joanie and Kate with such genuine warmness. I felt so comfortable as if I knew these ladies forever.

We discussed what I wanted and let me tell you: they DELIVERED!!!!!!!!

Joanie and Kate are like a fairy-god mother when it comes to hair and make-up and I was their Cinderella as I sat in the chair. I asked for beachy waves and a smoky eye! Oh boy! Did I get it! The make-up application was flawless, I was blown away by Joanie’s artistry. As for my hair, loved it!!! I looked as if I just spent the day at the beach in the sun with a slight breeze. Kate’s expertise as a stylist is a godsend😊. Joanie and Kate are true artists and you will not regret it.

For a wedding done during COVID, they did an amazing job. Katie and Joanie were friendly, professional, and timely while still making everyone look perfect. I’ve had problems in the past with showing the stylist a picture and they went ahead and did their own thing, but Katie was able to do exactly what I asked for and I was so thrilled. Will definitely recommend them to anyone!

I work very close and have been wanting to try to make an appointment. They took me same day! Kate waxed my eyebrows and did a great job. The place is adorable and very clean! Krystal was at the front desk. Kate and Krystal made me feel like their BFF, so kind. They have such good reviews already for other services, even though this is a little one I just had to say how great they are! 🥰

Joanie was my hair stylist and she did an amazing job. I wanted a cut and color. Joanie gave her opinion of what she thought would look good and we went with it. I am so happy with the results. The salon is beautiful and clean. The professionalism is also top notch. Stop in and you will not be disappointed.
