Lenny's Clam Bar

We haven’t been to Lenny’s in a few years and decided to go for dinner on a Thursday night. The food was just as good as I remembered it. The fried calamari was great. My son devoured the mozzarella sticks. My husband got the linguini alfredo with breaded chicken and I got the penne ala vodka with grilled chicken. The portions were huge, we could have definitely shared. But the food really was fantastic.

Always great food. Known for their baked clams- and fried Calamari. Hubby loves the ribs! I love the white clam sauce.

A classic Italian restaurant in Howard Beach. Highly recommend the antipasto for two. And the seafood marinara is off the hook! Also if you don’t like seafood, the chicken Marsala is amazing. They have valet parking. All around great Italian seafood place

Went in on a Wednesday night in early October without a reservation and was seated right away. Servers were attentive and explained things. They bring you bruschetta and a bread basket complimentary first up.
Serving sizes are generous! We ordered the fried shrimp and calamari combination and it was awesome! The sweet marinara sauce was surprising good with tue calamari!
We ordered the Lenny’s special and the linguine with clams in White Sauce. The lobster on the Lenny’s special was a small piece of meat but was so good. We switched out the side of pasta on Lenny’s special for cooked vegetables and it was great, it also came with 2 a grimy and 2 baked clams so it’s the perfect taster of a few things.
Perfect amount for the two of us! We ordered the red sangria pitcher as well. Total was $140 included tax and tip. Highly recommend!

A standout for us was the Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana. The chicken breast was tender, smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce and melted mozzarella, encapsulating the essence of a classic Italian comfort dish done to perfection.

The wine selection and various sodas and water catered excellently to our diverse tastes, complementing the meal wonderfully. The service was as impressive as the food – attentive, friendly, and always on point.

In conclusion, our experience at Lenny's Clam Bar was fabulous. From the delicious, well-prepared food to the warm, inviting atmosphere, it was a night to remember. About 20 of us went to dinner we had the unbelievable fried calamari fried shrimp. We had linguine and red clam, linguine white clam muscles. Unbelievable time we had. Thank you Joe for such a wonderful night. Can’t wait to come back.

Food is always delicious and service was great.

I had not been to this place in about 34 years and was only there once before. We were greeted very warmly at the door and seated immediately. The waiter gave us ample time to review the menu. I started with the NE clam chowder and my daughter ordered the fried zucchini sticks. Both came out pretty quickly. I was surprised how many sticks were on the plate and we were able to share them with no problem. After we finished that, the waiter came back to take our entree orders. I went with the sizzling steak. My daughter had the stuffed shrimp with crabmeat. My steak was cooked to perfection. Neither one of were able to finish our meals and I took them home with me. I really liked the fact that we weren't rushed at all. Most places usually take your entire order in one shot. Quite a few times I have received my appetizer and entree at the same time and I don't like that at all. I am giving them 5 stars which I normally don't do. Everything was great from start to finish. If I am in the area again, I will definitely go back.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Terrific food and service. The owner even came to our table to say hello and make sure we were enjoying ourselves.

Great seafood! Nice stop after picking up friends at JFK. Not very crowded, good service and lots of options. Loved to see the pictures of all the people that have been there.

As soon as we arrived they brought bread and bruschetta. Our server introduced himself and asked for our drinks which are delicious!!!!
I had a margarita and the stuffed shrimp with crab.
The food is fresh, tasty, perfectly plated and the prices are fair.
I love the family ambiance, the cleanliness of the the place, the attentiveness and most of all how the owner/manager Bob makes sure to check on EVERYONE throughout the night!
If you want great authentic Italian food, excellent service and want keep it local, try this place. You won’t regret it.

Excellent Menu and Service. Baked Clams, Calamari are the very best...then I love ribs, or stuffed shrimp, white clam sauce..Next I will celebrate beating stage four cancer and bring those who helped me during a very long year, in for anything they choose to eat! I'll see you in April or May. Thank you Joe for the grass fed, wild caught no chemicals great choices.. I dined in monthly, for many years.My parents lived just across the canal1967 to 2004.

Good quality and nice price. I was on the mood for some fresh and small portion dishes. Mussels w/signature hot sauce is absolutely a right choice. I’ll give the restaurant a second visit and more! Love this family owned Italian restaurant 🥰

Lenny's is my go-to place, I'm never disappointed with their food. There was a large party there for a private event so there was a little wait for our service.

Loved dining here! We were given bread/breadsticks and bruschetta to start before we had our meal. The drinks were good and the food was delicious. I didn't get a picture of my meal because I ate it so fast. It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing! Food came out so fast, there was no wait and the waiter was absolutely great. Will definitely be returning !

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious and it came out quickly. Our waiter (tall guy with a full beard- sorry, I forgot to write down his name) was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Overall, great experience at Lenny’s. Will be back soon!

My husband and i went here for his birthday dinner after a long day at the clothes-optional Jacob Riis beach. We were thrilled with our selections, including clam chowder, calamari, and “Lenny’s Special”. After dinner, our handsome waiter Nick and his friend who was handsome in a different way came out with complimentary dessert and a big old SPARKLER in it! Can’t wait to return.

Wonderful. Everything was perfect in temperature, appearance, presentation. Desserts are HUGE and shareable. Service was perfect. Best fried clams I have EVER eaten! We ate outside under a good awning and traffic noise wasn't a problem. I can't wait to go again!

I recently needed an event catered for a meeting at work which included the higher ups flying in from Texas. I have been to Lenny's many, many times over the years and figured I'd see if the would deliver catered food to Forest Hills. I called and spoke to Natalia and Maria who were so accommodating and just fantastic. The delivery was seemless, thank you Adam! The food was incredible! Everyone was raving about it for days! Thanks again Natalia, Maria and Adam! I can't say enough about Lenny's Clam Bar. Go or have them cater your next event and see for yourself!
