Stop & Shop

Very large, very busy supermarket. Especially busy the day before Christmas Eve. But there were plenty of smoky on the floor and every checkout aisle was open, and all the shelves were stocked, so it was a good shopping experience. Bathrooms available, as well as self checkout. Sale items clearly marked. Expansive fruit and vegetable department as soon as you enter, and it all seemed very fresh. Huge parking lot. Nice store.

This Stop and Shop is quite similar to any other location in the chain. It offers the typical Stop and Shop experience, which is neither exceptional nor disappointing.

I use this Stop & Shop regularly. I always find it organized and stocked. I actually came here to review because they helped me put together a fantastic Father’s Day bbq for my very deserving husband. I found these prepared shish kabobs the Saturday before the big day. I had worked all week! I was exhausted but really wanted to do some thing for him. These came out great! I was able to get everything done and relax! Thank you!

I made a quick stop to grab juice and chips. They have a decent selection. The cashier was nice and greeted with a smile. It was a pleasant experience. Highly recommend it for grocery shopping!

I've always had a positive experience at the Stop & Shop supermarket on Cross Bay Blvd in Queens. It is always clean and organized. The employees are courteous and helpful, and I'm always treated with respect at the service desk. I have found that any problem I may have while shopping is resolved with a smile. In all honesty, other stores should take heed of this store's management and work ethics. Keep up the great job!

Since reopening, it's been difficult to find what you need, though as time goes on becoming more familiar. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The Pharmacy staff, Stephanie, Jennifer, Erica and Lisa are the greatest. Karen, Prince, John and others at the store are top notch too. I just want to add that HAPPY EMPLOYEES make happy customers. Treat your staff the same way you would like to be treated.

I went into stop n shop In Howard beach right after work. I picked up a few items for my two children. I bought bread yogurt bagels. I then proceeded to go to self check out. When I went to go pay I was short .47 cents. I told the cashier who the most sweetest more kindest person named Gabriel to take off the bagels which was for my son instead of taking it off he paid .47 from his own money which no one had ever done for me in any store. I was in complete awe. I told him I would bring it back to him he said have a good evening. I almost cried. It’s not about the bagels it’s about having a kind heart. Gabriel is a huge asset to stop n shop. He showed kindness and what it means to be caring. Definitely need that in todays times. Thank you again for this blessing. I hope he gets some type of acknowledgment for this. Great employee to have on staff.

Store is fully stocked. The staff members are friendly. Stop and shops have the best deals on different items every week.

Super clean environment. Great variety of products. Fresh produce. Good prices. Well mannered and efficient, knowledgeable staff. Plenty of parking. Open until 11 pm.

I just feel personally the prices and the variety of goods whether Bowel & Basket or shoprite brands, or name brands the selection and quality of food items here in Gateway has been VERY satisfactory in my opinion.” And as oppose to other Shoperites in other neighborhoods the Gateway store dont run out of items as quickly! The selection is just better!
The store is clean and the aisles r nice n wide and they hv several ready to use battery-operated drive carts for the disabled or handicapped patrons. Which does indeed make shopping for me and others w/disabilities easier.

However I would suggest that the Managers make it a point of seeing to it that mother’s with their kids dont use these carts for their convenience if they are not disabled bc I hv seen able-body mothers in Shoprite at Gateway do this a few times.”
Also the deli section of Meats, cheeses and other gourmet items are endless!! And the hot foods along side a nice entree of Asian food is a great idea and its convenient for those who prefer to do all their shopping at (1) store. Im very glad its in my neighborhood hope they stay!!👍🏾

Great place to shop. They have fully stocked shelves. Fresh meats and produce. The cashiers are pleasant and work quickly. The prices at Stop and Shop are very competitive. I love the already prepared food. Takes me out of a pinch whenever I don't have time or don't want to cook. The options are plenty, the food tastes great and the prices are better than any restaurant. My new favorite place to shop for groceries and pick up a quick bite for the family.

The store wasn't busy. It was around 9 am .But a lot of shelves were empty.. The meat case was empty. No fresh meat out. Went today 8/3 shelves were good meat case was full.

Prices are good..but still high
But a pleasant place to shop
Just hope prices come down soon
