Fort Drum Commissary

Visiting with family, could not buy anything. Fantastic store, easy product layout, and great selection. Remember to tip your baggers, they are just so helpful and friendly.

Pros:
- Quality is higher than most local stores, especially with things like vegetables.
- Check out time is very quick, and organized. Standing in line to check out for more than 5 minutes is uncommon.
- Better prices on most products like energy drinks, meats, and cereal. They even beat other places on post for the same product in price.

Cons:
- Hours may be inconvenient to anyone who works past 7pm.
- Purified water can be difficult to get and you may end up having to buy bottles instead.
- Good for general items. Unique and specialty ingredients for things like baking may have to be sourced elsewhere.

Decent place to shop. I prefer Walmart. Walmart is right outside of Fort Drum and offers a wide array of items and is generally cheaper than the Commissary.

You can find many things you will not get in town. I go for the meat, to me it seems fresher and is a lot cheaper than many other stores in the area.

Nice commissary, clean and well stocked. Lines move fast through checkout. Deli and bakery is good. Friendly people.

This is such a great commissary, it makes me want to enlist. Top brands. Wide variety, good Hispanic section. Prices great. And no NY STATE hated plastic bag ban.

Quick, clean, and friendly service. Gas, snacks, drinks, with a cool military decor/vibe.

It's a hit or miss! But over all great. I perfer not to shop anywhere else. I wish the international selection was bigger but it does its job. Just don't go on Mondays.

Great deals and customer service!! We drive 65 miles to shop here, if you are military I recommend to shop here if you can. They have coupons on each aisle and at times sell in bulk. The meats are a great price.

The hours are the only thing thats a let down but other than that it's a great place to shop for your groceries!

Some products are discounted heavily on certain days. Today (16 Jan) Canola oil was 55 cents, down from it's normal 3 something. The cashier (very friendly and helpful!) let me know that tomorrow, something else will be discounted in a similar way. Do be careful though, depending on the product/brand the discount may not apply.

The only place in the region that still gives bags when you check out!

Excellent customer service by all the cashiers and stockers and staff. Great selection of all types of food and easy to fine all items in the commissary. All the employees are very polite and professional and hospitality is wonderful. They also support the feed for Veteran’s pantry in Watertown New York

Prices are truly negotiable compared to outlets and markets off base. Normally go here for groceries and water bottles. You pay $0.05 for the bottle, yet it's still cheaper than what you pay at the/ a gas station or any other store.....

It's easier to find things here than other commissaries I've been to. It has a lot more variety & sales, which is nice because that means MORE savings. The produce section is huge but not always good. Check expiration dates...that's at any place though.

Excellent variety, prices are better than civie costs, it's clean, orderly, fine parking, and right next to the PX. Aces!
