Very premium experience. Feels like a local spot for regulars, as well as friendly for newcomers. The experience starts with them, taking your coat at the door, something you don’t see too often anymore.

Upon sitting, there was a bread basket at my table, with a block of butter and a variety of breads and crackers. The table had a nice cloth, and the room was dimly lit, but bright enough to see who you are dining with.

I always have to get the chicken parm! Definitely didn’t disappoint here. The chicken was a nice thickness with good coating. This sauce and cheese worked well. Above average overall. It doesn’t come with any pasta so I added some penne with an Arrabiata sauce. They brought out some green beans which may come with the entrée or just get served to everybody as a seasonal vegetable.

For dessert I got the ricotta cheesecake. Unfortunately, this wasn’t amazing. A bit dry not a ton of flavor. Next time I would try something else.

The service here was A+. People, attentive and filling waters, as well as getting anything that you would want or need within a few seconds. Always with a smile on their face.

Nicola’s is close to Guggenheim museum that’s that’s the reason I discovered the place. It’s very cozy, beautiful and comfortable place where you can really feel that you are in the middle of Italy. Beside the fact that food we ordered was very delicious and fresh it was little overpriced

What an amazing Upper East Side Italian restaurant Nicola's is. This establishment has been open for decades, and I see why. The whole experience from the food to the service to the atmosphere was amazing!

One of the best dinners I have ever had. Was Alone so I sat at the bar. Collen I know I spelled it wrong was awesome. Great NYC experience.

Personal favorite. The maitre’d greets all with excellent service and attention. The bar is cozy and worthy of a drink in of itself. The dining room is sprawling with table cloth and some of new york’s elite. Mostly salt and pepper hair w families. Nice date spot and exquisite food. ✔

Fabulous neighborhood restaurant to which we've been going for 30+ years. Terrific. Yes, it's a club but it's a club you join by simply going. We took our children and we took our grandchildren when they were kids. Now they are grown and some are living in the City and we're taking them again. Simply wonderful...........and yes, the food is actually very good. We are so glad they are open again. We've been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks and keep bumping into people we've known forever

Very welcoming owner, he made us feel like family from the moment we arrived! He has a great sense of humor. The staff was so attentive and friendly and all of our food was fresh and delicious. I had the salmon and it was so fresh and seasoned perfectly as well as the asparagus. I wish that we lived closer because this would be our regular spot for family night. We will definitely be back and look forward to it!

Wonderful Old School Italian-American fine dining, white tablecloth, professional wait staff restaurant serving the food that made Italian cuisine so popular in the US.

My youngest moved in next door and we have wanted to try Nicolas. Glad we did, we'll be back.

The food is excellent. Don't eat all the delicious breads, wait for the scarpetto.

We ordered an amazing Burrata appetizer special (think very creamy fresh mozzarella) with micro greens and marinated tomatoes. Wait for the table oil. Pasta course was a hearty rigatoni special with veal meatballs. Finally the prime, a detectable lemony chicken Martino (off the menu, recommended by regulars, ASK.) I've never had such delicate chicken scallops...

If you act like a regular they will treat you like a regular.

Three of us split the appetizer, pasta course and prime. Always clean plates for each course. It was a perfect meal and only $40 per person with tax & tip. No alcohol. NYC has the best drinking water of any major city, period.

This place is a lot bigger than you see from the street. Great bar, actual Maitre De (not just a young beautiful hostess), classy dining room with the wood paneling, white tables, white shirts & ties (maybe all older males but diverse within that group which indicates they were looking at diversity over 20 years ago. ).

Perfect old school Italian restaurant! The service was amazing but most importantly the food was immaculate. A little overpriced but worth the money, especially if you try the shrimp marinara.

This is a very traditional Italian restaurant. The setting is cozy, the staff attentive and the food is superb. The Italian wines are first-rate. The crabmeat cocktail gives new meaning to “lump crabmeat!” It was truly unparalleled as was the pasta and the veal scalloping Marsala. By all means save room for the tortufo. It is enough for four servings.

I love this place. It’s old school, strong cocktails, amazing seafood, traditional menu. And the team are wonderful.

Wonderful local neighborhood ltalian restaurant with your standard fare of pastas, meat and poultry dishes. It is actually the side dish of eggplant parmesan that keeps me coming back. Desserts are much to write home about. Would definitely return with its old world charm.

Excellent food and service . We came here to celebrate a co worker who was retiring and were treated like family . Service was very attentive and pasta was especially delicious.

We joined another couple at this old time, perfectly maintained Italian Restaurant with Romanian waiters. You want the expected dishes in an Italian restaurant, here they are. Instead of the precious chef inspired creations this is what I craved.

The service the food and the drinks were perfect. I always love coming to Nicola’s, this is one of the favorite places of the owner of abc radio station.
