Sunrise Diner

The fresh squeezed orange juice was like a taste from my childhood... That is saying something because I grew up in the south.

We were all so excited about all the options on the menu that we had no idea what to order. When we finally decided we were not disappointed in anything and I intend to come back tomorrow to try something else.

"Unless you live in Maryland or DC, there are the best crabcakes you're going to find. Just sayin'..." That was my original review, but I'd like to expand on it a bit. People wait hours in lines to eat at Westchester and Putnam counties' trendy breakfast/lunch spots while being completely unaware of the Sunrise Diner, an unpretentious gem in Somers. Owner Elizabeth and wait-staffer Angie have made a warm, welcoming, and friendly place to enjoy delicious food creatively made and presented by an amazing kitchen staff. The crab cakes benedict and the huevos rancheros are to die for! As are the pancakes, waffles, and everything else on the menu. I share this information with you knowing that it might make it harder for me to get a seat in my favorite local restaurant, but Elizabeth and her staff deserve to benefit from what they've built. Please give it a try, enjoy, and thank me later!

Great local diner/coffee shop. I've been a few times for breakfast including solo /, with my boyfriend, and have also done a large takeout order w various specifications and everything is always correct. Food is yummy and service is friendly and efficient - so happy this spot is around!

This eatery serves quality food with warm, polite service. My family and I eat here a lot and we've always been very happy with the food and the experience. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

I stopped here on a whim..Both my son and I loved our omeletes .. great service and great food. Coffee also was very good

There Peruvian shrimp chowder, is the most fresh delicious soup I have had around, a d I seek out soups- this is not to be missed!!
Also try the Rubin, they marinade it all day, a d it is to die for

Simply the best diner food in Northern Westchester. Period! Nice ambiance. Great service. Home made tuna, chicken and potato salads to die for! Give this place a try. Open from 7 AM to 3 PM every day. Tell Elizabeth that Monty sent you!

I love this new Diner and Owner. Menu is wonderful.Everything is delicious. I particularly enjoy the home made ice cream, the passion fruit and coconut is to die for. A little touch of Spanish food is always welcome to me. I come for breakfast , lunch or dinner and food is always hot and made to order. Waitress is always pleasant and attentive as is the Owner. Clean environment, pleasant atmosphere, reasonably price, I have always left satisfied. A great over all dinning experience and I recommend to all ages. Perfect for gatherings, friends, and families.

A wonderful hidden gem in Somers, NY. Open for breakfast and lunch 7 AM to 3 PM. I was looking for some tasty diner food and this little store front in a small strip mall did not disappoint. Sorry no pics at the moment. The food was delicious Greek omelette tomato, spinach and feta one day and my partner had eggs Benedict which was excellent and full of flavor, very generous with the Canadian bacon.

Went back today the service was again welcoming. Server had some left over smoothie which she offered us a sample. I am not a smoothie fan but this was yummy - banana, mango, spinach and yogurt.
Today Huevos Rancheros on crunchy corn tortilla again delicious nicely done eggs, refried beans topped with salsa and guacamole. They happily substituted out the cheese they usually use for cheddar when I asked. Admittedly no sour cream but I don't eat that anyway. Was more than made up for by 3 breakfast sausages that were included. The best I've had in a long time. Partner had scrambled eggs with American cheese on top and bacon which was delicious.

BTW the coffee was excellent.

Service was attentive, the place very clean and although I guess it isn't necessarily required the staff did wear masks which I appreciated.
This is a real Mom & Pop place with favorful food and very reasonably prices.

If didn't know it was there would probably miss it but it is worth the trouble to find for a breakfast or lunch. Hope to be able to stop by again!

Homemade crab cakes rock!
Slow cooked pork makes for ridiculous Cuban sandwiches!
My wife is addicted to the Lox Benedict.
Other favorites are Sunrise Sandwich, Keto Omelette, breakfast Burrito, and Somers wrap.
To top it all off, it's hands down the best chicken soup I've ever had at a diner.
Not to mention a fabulous green smoothie.
We are foodies and we come here every week!!

My absolute favorite place. The food is always yummy. And waitress are awesome. Elizabeth is awesome and knows my order by heart. Love it.

Appearances are decieving. This little place looks like a hole in the wall, but it has some of the mose amazing breakfast foods I've ever had. The avocado toast is amazing, and the egg white sandwish will leave you begging for the salsa verde recipe. A must try.

Delicious omelettes, corned beef hash, and home fries.... prepared perfectly. The ladies who run the cafe are friendly and very nice. Cozy local res8.

Went here for lunch and was surprised that a dinner was able to make such a delicious cup of boba!
