La Cuisine Cafe

As an Asian I normally don’t go for sandwiches. This place, however, has hands down the tastiest sandwiches in town. Bread is light, warm and fresh. All the food they offer is of quality. I accidentally stumbled into this cafe when I had some errands downtown and I am glad to have discovered this little gem.

They serve Verve coffee! Super cute place on Market Street, I had a late latte here but want to come back for lunch. They were almost out of bakery and pastry items which is always a good sign. High ceiling and nice setup made it very inviting. Definitely a transition from the chaos outside.

Very good local breakfast, coffee is ok. Overall very happy, good service. The deco also very classy with some unique art work.

What a great little hole in the wall breakfast spot for on the go or a quick sit. Popped in here on my way to Bay to Breakers and I was impressed with the latte (coffee snob here) and the atmosphere. Highly recommend supporting this local business!

Very classy, cozy, old school French style cafe with a nice view of the UN Plaza. Stopped in for after lunch espressos and will definitely be back. As others have pointed out, the interior is one of the nicest in the whole city.

YUMMMYYYY!!! 10/10 recommend this place for breakfast! Feels like you’re into Europe! The little tables, small elegant vibe, with impressive windows and chandelier!
I loved the coffee and the lox bagel was *chefs kiss* I would come here all the time if I lived closer. Maybe the best croissant I’ve had in the states!

This place looked big in the pictures but actually small in person. The high ceilings were decorated with exquisite chandeliers. It’s a bit tight with cozy European cafe ambience. I ordered salad #4 with beets, avocado, capers, cherry tomatoes and lettuce etc - it was delish! My sister ordered a cappuccino while I got the latte with almond milk. price is reasonable for the city and customer service is excellent despite the busy lunch rush hour. I could try the sandwiches next time should I happen to be in the area again before or after watching a play in the Orpheum theater or ACT.

This is a really nice little hidden gem. They do a lot with very little space, both in preparing and serving/seating; be patient because there’s only one or two employees back there but the food is worth it. The coffee is really on-point and tastes amazing.

You'd never expect coffee, freshly ground to order, in such a baroque interior hidden in the Civic Center area. For the iced coffee I ordered, it looks like they made an espresso into an Americano which was then put in some ice. I don't know much about coffee and only ordered it because I wanted to sit down outside but it seems like a nice place to me.

To get to the restroom, you'll have to go through a residential building, into a loading dock, and you'll be holding a key attached to some tongs. It's an interesting journey.

Beautiful European style coffee shop service fresh salads, sandwiches, and pastry. I went in today and the hospitality was amazing. Coffee properly done in the espresso machine and Callí (?) was so helpful. If I worked in the area, I’d go everyday. Their ham cheese croissant was so nice. It really felt like I was in Paris or Rome.

We stopped by for breakfast while visiting downtown San Francisco and were able to order quickly and find a table. Seating area is limited but the service was quick, pleasant and the food was excellent. The Avocado Egg Toast was loaded and flavorful and the Caprese sandwich was very filling and tasty. La Cuisine Cafe was a very wonderful break from the oppressive nature of downtown San Francisco. Definitely worth a visit.

I came here twice with my husband while we were vacation in San Francisco. The owner is so sweet. The food is fantastic as well as the coffee!!

Classic looking place with good music playlist. Good quality food and beverages.

⁣😻 Wow, found this hidden gem and it was Poppin 🔥. We got the California Turkey and Tuna Nicoise Melt. I had half of the Tuna Melt and a cup of green tea and was already full. They use sriracha aioli on their bread so you know it’s lit 🤤.

The owner is super friendly and have great interpersonal communication skills. He chatted up with 4-7 different customers like they were family. Good customer service and making guests feel like their at home is a big plus.

The locals know what’s up. I see policemen, city employees, Orpheum theater workers, and all types of people come through. Maybe you’ll be next 😸✌. Very please to have tried La Cuisine. Come support local business and try out this French/Moroccan cafe.

Very unassuming from the outside, but gorgeous and cosy on the inside. The staff were super friendly and the coffee + sandwich was delicious! I got the "New York style" bagel.

the food was AMAZING and the baked muffins were delicious!! everything is extremely fresh and made with love :) the owner is very nice as well! definitely will be coming back soon

I had my best breakfast in San Francisco there. The coffee and foods were amazing. They have a restroom in a kind of museum. I would suggest this place who is looking for a proper breakfast. The staff is very helpful to decide what you would like. And you should definitely get some Americano.
