When I went there , all houses are closed to visit inside. So, I missed seeing how beautiful inside are? Anyway, still impressed with architecture and areas around. Most of area are Victorian homes and building in various design and outstanding colors. Nice neighborhood and view to see the city and for photography :)

cute park and pituresque houses. worth checking out at sunset with a blanket, a lovely bottle of vino, cheese, bread, berries, chocolate, the works. very well maintained and symmetrical yet unique in their own way. not too many tourists, which is a huge plus.

Their value from an architectural perspective is invaluable. Beautiful houses, well maintained, with care and love.
Please consider that people live in these houses. Be respectful.
A must visit for anyone who grew up in the 80s, 90s with the Full House show.

For the perfect view, go by the kids' playground—it's the best spot! As a "Full House" fan, seeing the Painted Ladies up close was like a dream. Parking on the street nearby lets you take a relaxed stroll and enjoy the neighborhood vibe.

Painted Ladies also known as “postcard row” are pastel-colored homes standing shoulder to shoulder on gentle slope of Steiner St. These beautiful Victorian houses in the Alamo Square neighborhood. I guess the Painted Ladies become more famous because they feature in movies.

Along the eastern side of Alamo Square Park is one of the most iconic and most photographed sights in San Francisco. These pastel-colored homes, standing shoulder-to-shoulder on the gentle slope of Steiner Street, are called the Painted Ladies. Also known as "postcard row" for their scenic beauty, these Victorian homes (still occupied by locals) are a beautiful reminder of the San Francisco of old, while the gleaming downtown skyline of new San Francisco shimmers in the distance.

Most visitors have this location at the top of their San Francisco bucket lists, as it has been featured in some of the most popular stories set in San Francisco—perhaps most famously, "Full House."

Better view of this lavish houses is to go across the park. This video was taken the sun was about to set. But still you can see how pretty it was. Best place to visit when you go to San Francisco maybe try it in the morning. We will definitely go back here.

Been here several times from 1998-present..I’ve always enjoyed the tv show Full House, visited The Painted Ladies(in Alamo Square)while walking around San Fran on a personal trip out there. These row of Victorian and Edwardian houses, stands as a timeless symbol of some of San Francisco’s beautiful architecture. Having a relaxing lunch in the park with the charming view of these beautiful houses of San Fran’s historical architecture is just iconic with an amazing glimpse into the city’s history and charm.

The Painted Ladies is nothing but a row of meticulously decorated, intricate detailed, vibrant painted, adorned Victorian and Edwardian houses along Alamo Square, stands as a timeless symbol of San Francisco's significant architectural beauty. And such a picturesque setting against the backdrop of the city skyline creates for a great postcard. Visiting this iconic location provides a captivating glimpse into the city's history and charm.

The park and these houses are surrounded by residential houses and has easy access using cars, cabs and metro buses.

Also, there is a park across the street that has so interesting and awesome art on the walls and sidewalk. The Painted Gentlemen is down the street. That is nice.

Someone should tell tourists it is a one-way road and a fast drive-by. Which makes you miss the details on the buildings and the park across the street.also a very steep road.

You come here with a blanket and your friends (or just anyone anyhow :D), have a seat down on the grass, enjoy your picnic and the views over the painted ladies along with the city skyline. Easily accessible via SF Muni. There are plenty of benches with tables for anyone who doesn't like to touch the grass.

I'm very happy we got the time to visit this iconic place. A must do in San Francisco. It took us 15 minutes to take pictures and e joy the view. The recommendation is to go to the park in front, there are some stairs, and from there you will have the perfect view to The Painted Ladies

Despite the crime in San Francisco these days, the scenic views and art throughout the city definitely makes you forget about the hundreds of dollars you spent in car window repairs while visiting these tourist hot spots!

Too bad I missed a free tour of one of the painted ladies. Check the pictures for details!

One of the most beautiful parks of any city I've been to. With a coffee truck (Lady Falcon Coffee), this is peak San Francisco.
