Nob Hill Cat Clinic

This is such a wonderful cat clinic. They treated my boy, Whiskers, just like he was their own when we brought him in after a minor crisis on the day after Thanksgiving. Could not be more thankful. He is doing much better now!

Have been a customer here for a few years and really appreciate the service they have provided.

The veterinarians have always been very caring and attentive to my cat and always willing to explain the situation and various treatment options.

Parking can be difficult but there is a lot nearby I have used.

Dr. Carter and her staff are supportive and caring. She was willing to help us troubleshoot based on symptoms. We wish our cat would just tell us what is wrong…but he never does, so we have to guess 😿

Excellent care for almost 3 years for our precious cat. Found them through Google/Yelp when we first moved to SF in mid 2020 and followed with them until this Spring 2023 when our beloved cat was ready to cross Rainbow Bridge. They were reasonably priced for what our pet insurance covered and I liked that they were specialists in cat care. We worked with Dr Grace Carter. She was fantastic, empathetic, and detail oriented. She caught on as soon as our cats condition worsened and was thorough in her work ups, which helped us prolong our cats quality of life. As a human physician myself, Dr Carter spoke with me at my level and helped us make very informed decisions about our care. I NEVER felt like I was being tricked into paying for extra or unnecessary services, which unfortunately happens a lot in the veterinary medicine world. Near the end of our cats life, we felt lucky that, with Dr Carters attention, we got another happy 3 months with our Kitty beyond what other vets had predicted. Even once we moved away from SF, we did paid phone consultation with Dr Carter that helped us make the right decisions for our elderly cat. The clinic atmosphere itself is very welcoming and comforting, down to the staff putting on cat TV to entertain my nervous cat while we waited in the exam rooms. Dr Carter and staff would also take extra time to call me back for clinical questions, discuss lab results in depth, and were quick with arranging med refills. Because they do have a large loyal clientele, you do need to plan ahead for appointment openings and can't expect urgent appointment openings same week, but they are very good at triaging when to take your cat elsewhere for time sensitive needs. Only thing to note is parking can be tricky in that neighborhood so always budget 30 min to find street parking. I highly recommend this clinic.

Nob Hill Cat Clinic are there when you need them. When I moved to Dolores Heights in October my cat Shakespeare started having litter box issues due to moving stress. They slotted him in even though they already had a few surgeries booked and didn’t charge me extra for an emergency visit.

Fast forward to December and I’m struggling to find a place for Shakespeare to stay while I’m out of town for Christmas. Again, Nob Hill Cat Clinic to the rescue! Turns out they’ll board cats for a reasonable price. And Shakespeare can even get caught up on his vet care. They show genuine care and concern not just for feline friends but for their harried parents as well.

Dr. Doe is the best! And the staff are triple AAA. They care about my two cats, Sophia Loren and Angelina Jolie who coincidentally is a national star for an article that appeared in the Cleveland Sun about adopting older pets. So here are two stars and thanks to the EXCELLENT care provider by Nob Hill Cat Clinic and it's staff, these two are happy and healthy kitties! And famous!

I have had Dr. Doe at Nob Hill Cat Clinic look after my cat veterinary needs since the late 1990s. I find her to be very knowledgeable, and also communicative; she always answers my questions and also asks questions about my cats and their situations. And she is wonderful with cats...they can pick up on the fact that she cares. The office has just been remodeled and is very clean and nice. You can't do better than NHCC for cat care in San Francisco. Edit: Dr. Doe retired in 2022. Her replacement, Dr. Gonzales, is quite a bit younger than her, but is caring and seems knowledgeable.

Staff are friendly and efficient, waiting room and exam rooms are tranquil and cat friendly (we're talking calming music, funky cat decor, and cat TV on monitors...what's not to love?!).

My cats HATE the vet and they've been calmer here than any other vet I've taken them too. They really listen to you. As long as I live here they've got a customer in me.

Very nice and knowledgeable staff. They took great care of my former cat that had chronic issues, and are super patient with the cranky old lady I have now. While their services can be a bit pricey, I know I'm paying for people that love cats as much as I do.

We've been taking our two cats to Nob Hill for about a year. This included neutering our kitten, checking out our older cat's cough, kitten vaccines, and more. They've been happy to provide advice and guidance over the phone, as well as prescriptions for some more common cat issues. They've done a great job keeping our cats calm and doing a good job with any exam or surgery. We'd definitely continue using them if we come back to San Francisco.

Also, we've used them exclusively throughout COVID and have not had any issues.

I only trust my felines with the experts veterinary clinic of nob hill cat clinic for many years. Through all illnesses they have provided the upmost care of my furry babies. I highly recommend for all cat owner's. They are in the best hands . 10+ stars

Have been taking my cat here since he was a kitten, we have a life-time partnership with the team at Nob Hill Cat Clinic. I couldn't imagine taking my cat anywhere else. I feel like their prices are fairly reasonable, and they have always let me decide what options I am comfortable with for my cat, they never push surgical options and things like that. Their reception staff is super friendly, they make you feel like you're part of the family. They're also centrally located, so it's easy for me to get to them and it's easy to park if I drive my own car or take a cab with my cat carrier. This place has been very good to me and my cat.

I've been taking my cat to Nob Hill Cat Clinic since I moved to San Francisco and they've been amazing in every way. The vets and staff are incredibly caring and attentive, and they make me (and my cat) feel extremely comfortable whenever we're in for regular check ups.
Appointments are very easy to set up, and if something comes up, they have no problem changing them. Also, having them call to remind me about check ups is extremely helpful because of my hectic work schedule, so I couldn't recommend them more highly!

The Nob Hill Clinic staff are professional and friendly. During the first visit, the vet Dr. Carter was very knowledgable and took the time to explain different diets for my cat "Athena" and ways to keep her healthy as she gets older. The clinic also provides vet- approved food if you can't find a specialized diet at the local pet store and free weight checks. I am happy with the care provided for Athena and will continue to make appointments in this clinic in the future.

They are a great team, from the Reception Desk to the Awesome Veterinarians. There is a good flow and rarely am I kept waiting. When my kitties are seen, the care is attentive and thoughtful. Their care extended the last year of my elderly kitty's life and for that I am eternally grateful. I would recommend them in a heartbeat if you need specialized care for your cat.

They saved one of my little kitties from deaths door. They are extremely passionate and it is infectious, and I absolutely love the people there. 100/10

Great vet clinic for cats! My cat gets severe anxiety going anywhere new but the vets and techs at this place really know how to handle him. They are also very communicative and you're never stuck with a surprise bill!
