As far as programs go I love this one. It stands head and shoulders above any Barrt clinic. The treat people like people not like junkkies or stupid children.

This is THE place to get good care! I've always been treated like a person. Unlike other places that treat me like a thing. Staff is respectful, and honest. Also though working with a case manager is mandatory, for those who want assistance they can take advantage of the great help ward 93 offers freely. I would choose no other clinc

If i had known how much methadone was going to help me i would have gotten on it year's ago,
I have been clean for 6months and also help with my depression and anxiety, and back and knee pain.

Just did my intake today and I must say its a Great Friendly,Caring,UNDERSTANDING and supportive clinic that I've ever been to. MY doctor and counselor are very nice and great at what they do and will help u achieve what u have to do to make yourself whole again. Thank you Ward 93!!

Bar none the best clinic. Least required counseling hours and they will work with no Id / insurance if needed. If ur thinking about methadone treatment. Do it! Feel better! Live better!

This clinic/program saves lives. Methadone clinics are available in the dozens in San Francisco but few have the professionalism and are as effective as OTOP has been for me and countless others that I know personally who have been helped here.
Typically, methadone patients become stuck on methadone and find themselves unable to graduate from the maintenance program they are on to a life free and clear of all opiates (and there are cases where that is the correct course of action for that individual patient). However, for clients who desire a life without opiates, unlike many clinics, OTOP clearly helps them achieve this without prejudice. OTOP delivers treatment that is appropriate for the client who seeks it. The staff at OTOP and SFGH's policies are not biased toward one treatment over the other. They maintain the hospital's fair and honest approach to patient treatment plans in the execution of their responsibilities. The patients needs and the outcome they desire is what drives their treatment at OTOP.
The staff is genuinely positive in the attitudes they exhibit at the clinic. They are completely brilliant when it comes to dealing with clients; their customer service is one of the best I've seen out of all the Methadone clinics I've visited (and there have been so many, over the years). Their counselors are incredibly well educated as well as having had appropriate life experience to be able to accurately and authentically do that job.
I understand that everyone is different and may have opinions that we don't share. Personally, I feel that anyone, given enough empathy, is able to help anyone else. I truly believe that. And I have had counselors who have, themselves, experienced drug abuse and are now in their recovery which greatly aids them in helping clients within the boundaries of their job responsibilities. For clients who believe that the only people that are capable of helping them and other addicts in general, OTOP has plenty of counselors to choose from. For clients who do not want a counselor with life experience that includes drug abuse, OTOP is equally equipped. OTOP has every angle covered and is able to help clients of every walk of life, philosophical stand point and individual need.
I trust OTOP to save my life; and it has.

Best hours of any clinic in the city. Every day 7am ~2pm. They do however close daily from 11:00-12:30 (I'm not 100% that those lunch hours are correct, but I'm about 98% sure).

After a decade+ of methadone detox and maintenance treatments at San Francisco's notorious BAART clinics and, most recently, 4 years of abstinence thanks to Suboxone maintenance referred via Treatment Access Program and HAFC, but Ward 93's OTOP program has provided some of the most caring, helpful and knowledgable professional harm reductionists in the field of addiction rehabilitation. They also stay open longer (7AM-2PM daily) than any other 'done clinic in San Francisco, offer "van service" to select neighborhoods and, in the event of a catostrophic emergency, Ward 93 becomes the main methadone/pain medication dispensery in the entire Bay Area, reportedly well-enough stocked to supply all methadone-dependent patients from all Bay Area clinics plus a stockpile large enough to treat--for example--victims of the next great earthquake. I have to transfer to another clinic unfortunately, due to a move, and I'm missing ward 93's liberal dosing hours already.
