Very nice hotel, with very attentive staff and excellent food. The rooms are good size with helpful amenities, and lots of hooks in the bathroom. The gym is sufficient and the pool is warm enough in the early season, cold and rainy day. The omelette with sauteed onions and mushrooms was really good. The bikes were nice and I'm hopeful that we will get to borrow the car.

This was our first visit to Martha's Vineyard. We will definitely be back and staying at Harbor View. Great location, all around beautiful grounds and an amazing staff. The hospitality started before we arrived with a phone call to welcome us and see if there was anything we needed before our visit. Once we arrived, we felt like VIP (we're not) from beginning to end. The thoughtful gestures from the decorations in our room to the message on our dinner menu will forever be remembered. Front desk, restaurant, room service and housekeeping were all friendly and helpful. I'm not able to say enough about Steve he made our stay perfect and wishing we could have stayed longer. We will be adding a few days to our next visit.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful, kind, attentive staff. I loved the attention to detail - from the beach kits, to chargers and amenities throughout the hotel. I had an incredibly relaxing experience. Special thanks to Scott and Diane for their hospitality, as well as the restaurant, housekeeping and valet staff.

My experience at the hotel was great. Their restaurant, Bettini, was the perfect way to start the day with a delicious breakfast. The proximity to town was very convenient and they have a complimentary shuttle service to drop you off or to pick you up. The concierge was helpful and recommends a fly fishing trip with Kismet Outfitters which was absolutely amazing. Easy pick up and drop off from Finger Pier too.

We stay at Harbor View Hotel every July for the past few years. We admire this hotel for literally everything: location, view, service and amenities. We always get great service from every staff member, but this year, Alina made us feel especially welcomed. This amazing girl was so attentive to all the guests regardless where she was working that day: at the pool or “Bettini” restaurant. Always smiling, polite, ready to recommend places to see or dine. We really hope to see her next year at the Harbor View again!

We’ve been to Martha’s Vineyard a few times and this was our first time staying at the harbor view hotel and we were EXTREMELY pleased. My boyfriend planned his proposal at Bettini restaurant and the hotel staff did everything possible to help him. By the end of the weekend we became friends with everyone on staff. Needless to say 10/10 service, 10/10 amenities (the pool is great), 10/10 location (walking distance to basically everything), the hotel cars and golf carts are a huge plus! We will definitely be back.

My wife and I traveled to Martha’s Vineyard to celebrate her birthday on October 29th 2023, what an incredible, indeed amazing experience. We live in The Bahamas, so we know about hospitality. The staff at HVH was truly amazing and professional. The location is perfect as I have a slight handicap and was able to walk downtown to enjoy the shopping and scenery. I can’t stop telling my family and friends that the must visit Martha’s Vineyard and stay at the Habor View Hotel. We will return to spend time with our new found family and friends. If you’re going to Martha’s Vineyard, you’ve got to stay at the Harbor View Hotel. The location is unmatched, with views of the lighthouse while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere away from the shops. An easy golf cart ride provided by the hotels friendly staff will take you to the shops and restaurants in Edgartown. Their complimentary car and bicycles will allow you to see other parts of the island with leisure; you won’t be worried with bus schedules or finding a taxi. Our party of four stayed in the historic building with two king beds and had plenty of space to spread out. The front staff (shout out to Hannah and her amazing team) were extremely accommodating and made my grandmother feel like a queen. They went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. I cannot say thank you enough to every staff member we encountered. We look forward to our next stay!

I had a connection with this hotel since day one because Harbor View is the name of the street where we have lived for the last 22 years, so I made my reservation for the weekend of 4th of July 2023... I went there with my wife and daughter and had a great time during our first visit ever to Martha's Vineyard. Every detail at the hotel is perfectly taken care of, the concierge took the time to contact us a couple of days before arrival to explain all the amenities available for guests such as Golf Cart Transportation to the town, partnership with Mercedes Benz so you could use a Mercedes to drive around the isle, restaurants and things to do while @ Martha's! Check in was great, room ready for early check-in, every detail taken care of... Great group of young people helping with the bags driving you around Edgartown ... in general highly recommended based on our experience!

Sure, you may pay premium (not to say exorbitant) prices at the HBV, but excellent service, gourmet dishes and a gazillion dollar view is what you get.

The watermelon salad with fresh lobster tasted just as good as it looked.

Strongly recommend for lunch in Edgartown. It's a short walk away from the more crowded downtown area and -- especially if you haven't visited yet -- worth it.

Everything was amazing! The service was out of this world. I don't think I've ever seen a collective group of people that are so nice and so willing to please.

My only complaint was that all the doors in the rooms would slam shut and it would be impossible to relax. We were on the second floor and I could tell you if the door that just slammed was on outñr floor, 1st or the LL. It was raining hard Saturday and we decided to go back to the hotel after breakfast to relax and it was impossible!!!!
